Saw this pop up and clicked as I figured this would be an interesting one to watch. Hi-Point fans have been waiting for this to come out. Not for me but some will want to pick this up. I too hate all those safeties but new shooters may enjoy this one,

don't know if any one mentioned it, but all c9 came from the factory with a magazine safety, but it was easy to remove. so your pawn shop one was probably altered before you got it,,,,
It seems like it has some really tight tolerances, and maybe one should run a bunch of really shitty steel case ammo through it at first, to scuff up the insides and loosen things up a bit.
I have a Hi-Point C-9 and it has been accurate and reliable so I just picked up my JXP10 from my FFL today to go with it. I may eventually get a YC-9 but that will probably be down the road. Thanks for the video and keep shooting 👍.

I have always lubed mine on first shots They run well. One thing i like about Hi-Point is my C9 is very good at telling me what ammo it likes. CCI Foicchi and magtech work 100% have you tried 147 grain. My C9 really likes that one
One mag has an issue with locking slide back.. I'll probably buy one just because.. i have other more expensive but i have hi points and no complaints with them..good review oh on the back strap safety.. 1911s have had them since well 1911 lol
I don't get the negativity. If you get a chance to grab a 9mm with YEET CANNON on the side for a little over two hundred bucks... isn't it mandatory? I have enough reliable firearms. Now let's have some fun.
I’ll wait till the next generation of the YC9 comes out to purchase.I never get the first generation of any weapon. I like to purchase when upgrades are made and the Next YC9 will most likely have a trigger upgrade and higher capacity and additional magazines
your 10 should run 40 if you want to shoot more often for cheaper ;) also, the original 9 had the mag safety also, yours must have been removed at some point. loved the vid!
Unfortunately the original C9 mags are 8 round single stack. The 1095 carbine uses single stack 10 rounders. Seems that the double-single 10 rounder really was the best they could do in the YC9 frame
It feels like a $200 gun. It works. It's heavy. You can feel the blowback slide moving. It's essentially $200 or less. It has an accessory rail, optics ready, threaded.

That’s about the size of it. Not only has the “Yeet Cannon” idea been floating around for so long that nobody cares anymore, even if somebody did care it wouldn’t matter because the guns don’t work. You can’t make it through an entire magazine without a malfunction. Just because a gun has a cool phrase etched on the side doesn’t change the fact that the gun is garbage. Yeet Cannon? I think not. More like malfunction cannon... Buy a Hi-Point if you want to get good at clearing malfunctions.
When you can get a S & W or Taurus or even a used Glock for not much more or even the same price in some cases why get that piece of garbage, but to each their own.
I own 3 pistols C9...Jxp10mm....JHP45acp no issues picking up my Yeet Cannon Tommorow it will be another Fun Gun! 😊

The not locking back is the magazine not the gun. Some other tubers had the same issue but only with certain magazines

This YC9 seems to have the same problem that my JXP10 did. The feed ramp is rough and needs polishing.

I've noticed alot of nose up ftf's on several but not all reviews.
That usually means the feed lips are a tiny bit loose, give em q pinch.
It’s hard to tell if it’s the gun or the ammo that’s malfunctioning, I’m leaning more towards the gun that’s the issue
C’mon! Of course it’s not the ammo. It’s the gun! Hi-Point firearms don’t work with ANY type of ammo.
