Let me tell a real life story of mine, When I was at my young age, I was more than this! I just didn't give enough respect to food. My parents keep on mentioning that not to waste food and I just don't cared at that time. Soon I got some job which made me busy like I always needed to skip breakfast in order to work. I love the work but anyways I cannot have food on proper time. Sometimes tried taking a leave for my job just to eat the breakfast and Everytime I do this(taking leave) for some reasons I had to skip my lunch. That one time food is always missing. Everytime when I walk over the canteen I just have some watering mouth to eat but I can't. Sometimes I stare at my wallet which has enough money to buy food for more than me but cannot even feed me at right time. I realized my mistake and prayed to God for forgiveness but it is real life magic won't happen immediately. I am still missing my meal and I fee sorry for my mistakes to God it kind of gives me releaf that I am under punishment by God who still watches me and takes care of me. I am still under this punishment and I accept my punishment with devotion. I wasted food and I payed for it and paying for it (at the time of writing this comment - will look for end one day) by Food itself! Thankfully I gave enough respect to other parts of my life like elders, education and things and I am happy with other aspects of my life. I don't care who believes or not it is my story may you learn from what I left.

what new concept? new concept is the one which provides convenience or help you save money or say serve the same food and leave it for the people to take what they want and how much they want, this method is nothing but wastage of food which could be used to feed the deserving and hungry people who can't afford a decent meal a day. the hotel owners make their money but it is the customers who are paying more, useless and ridiculous concept if it is not beneficial to the customer or to the society.
You can still enjoy the food and share the cost, just ask for more rice and share the thali amongst four or five of yourself and friends. That way nothing gets wasted. Secondly, you can use spoons for the dishes and not use fingers, request the hotel to pack up the remaining food and send it to any ashramam, illam or orphanage. Again, nothing gets wasted and the people you send the extra food to, will be thankful and bless you. Something to think about...
That is what few NGO's do in pretty much all the big cities across USA, they tie up with hotels which usually used to throw their remaining good food not the leftovers by the customers because they do not store and serve the other day as per FDA guidelines, they collect about 8 in the night pack for individual consumption and deliver it to the homeless and poor people through some charitable organization, this way neither the food is wasted nor the poor people remain and sleep with a hungry stomach, it is a win win situation for all. I am not sure that happens in india or atleast in my chennai city. Even during weddings there is a lot of wastage but they wouldn't feed poor and hungry people which is very unfortunate.
Definitely 1600Rs is too costly. If u calculate the each items cost individually u will come to know. Since you cannot eat this much food in one go so psychologically u will come to the feeling of they are giving more for 1600. These are all marketing people researches shit outcome. Instead they can work for how to serve the wasted food to poor.
Best way to eat bahubali thali is to go in groups.atleast a group of 04..wastage of food can be nil..if you were in any other country..you would have to pay for the wastage also..be responsible.
