This is so timely for me. A family member was unhappy with my response to a message she sent to me concerning the death of an old schoolmates grandchild. My cousin who is ill as well as her husband is ill, always seems to cling to everyone's business and wants to make herself part of it. My response was I was sorry and would pray for our friends family. But that I find myself right now needing to focus on my emotional, spiritual, physical and financial wellness . To be honest, it feels as if the devil is hitting me in those areas - well, my cousin let me know my response was inappropriate and selfish. She said that I had not asked about her . She does not know this child or his parents or both grandparents but grew up with grandfather whom she has not seen in decades. Now, she has taken to writing scathing remarks to me on my Facebook page. My response was the same as in the private messages - I made sure I was kind , said I loved her yet reiterating she had said it was inappropriate I mention taking care of myself. She has been down right cruel but I am sticking to my guns. No longer am I making excuses for people - this change of not always being there for others to lash out at is the right one for me.
My husband got a new job as an associate minister (and will transition to preacher in 2 years) in West Virginia (we currently live in NC). This was completely not something we saw coming but the Lord provided in ways we never saw coming. This big move with a 2 yr old and 5 mo old has been overwhelming. We ended up renting out moving van before we even had a home. I was so stressed about needing a house and then i just decided to make a step of faith trusting that God would provide the home. Well we close on our home Sept. 30th and move in Oct 17th. The Lord always provides and I am so thankful. Now please just pray we can all get to WV without stressing too much.
Thank you for this timely message. We are a military family so change is inevitable in this life. We just moved overseas to Germany from California so it has been very stressful trying to figure out everything new. I needed this prayer over me and I will continue to seek God during this time of huge transition for myself, as well as my husband and children. ❤️🙏🏻
Diana, I love when you share a devotional. God is definitely using you on TH-cam. This is my second year I am reading through the Bible using The Bible Recap. This year I have added writing down my thoughts on the verses I read and writing my morning prayer out. I think you may have been the one that I first heard mention The Bible Recap and I want to thank you. It has been a great resource for me.
God gave me Matthew 10:29, 31 when my daughter was leaving for college in 2020: Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father... Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. He led me there in such a sweet and tender way, it was huge in quieting my worries. You are so right when you say that transitions can take years! As I'm looking forward at the next stage in my long transition, I'm anxious because I can't see a way to actually get from here to there. But these words are true for me too, so I'll continue abiding and watching, and pray for the discernment and courage to act when God says go. Thank you for this beautiful encouragement!
I just moved to another City and I will start at new job. My son also moved into another City. So I have lots of changes at the moment. I found that reading my Bible every day and praying God helps me to focus on what is most important. And I feel peace in the middle of chaos. Thank you Diana, your video really spoke to me ☺️
My husband and I are going through a major transition! We just dropped off our youngest at college and are starting our new life in Scottsdale Arizona! It’s been a big change but we are putting ourselves out there and getting very involved in our church community already!😇😇 We are being led by the Holy Spirit!
Thank you so much Diana! We are in a season of transitioning. Moving to a new city, where we do not know any one, my husband starting a new job, he doesn’t know if he’s cut out for, me staying at home with our little one, not knowing if I’m going to be lonely or find new friends… it is so powerful to be reminded of God’s consistency even if everything around us is changing. Be richly blessed in all of your new developments. The favour of the Lord is upon you. Lots of love from Germany.
Thank you, Diana! We are in the process of moving from New York State to eastern Tennessee. Someone I know suggested going to my neighbors to introduce myself. That would be very unnatural for me. I was greatly encouraged by your positive experience of meeting neighbors in a natural setting. Thank you for the whole teaching with scripture! Phyllis
This message is coming at the right time. We are getting ready to move. We sold our home and are moving into another one. I'm super stressed about this change as it's out of the area where we live that's my comfort zone and a little further from a few family members. We looked at many places but it was like we were meant to be in this one for a reason. Put offers on a few and we're struck out. I believe if we really listen we are shown in different ways where we are supposed to be and are being guided in this life.
Thank you, Diana. This is perfect timing as the Lord told me to leave my job of 22 years. What do I know about job searh these days?! And I am old. So far the Lord has provided but I know this wont last forever so anxiety city is an understatement. I had to listen to this twice and write it down. It puts perspective in an organized matter and I definitely need the reminder of Matthew 6! Btw, I love that you put out your videos on Saturday. Sat is my rest day so I saved these for Sundays where I dedicate a day of prayer thats different than M-F and your prayers always refresh me. Happy 40th! ❤
We moved to a new house about a year ago and now have started to feel like I’m making connections. New house, different town, converting to Catholicism! So much change. The transition has taken longer than I thought! Thank you for this! Helps me so much!
You are a blessing in my life, Diana. I have always struggled with how much should I do on my own vs. letting God lead and be in control. I have a similar personality to you so it was a good message for me right now. “Let go and let God” is so difficult for me but sometimes you have to let go and it is not giving up. Love from Canada ❤️🇨🇦
It's so true how much time certain things take to settle. I moved from the south of england to the north when I got married three years ago and you've reminded me that God through Mary's intercession brought me here to this specific place and wonderful husband. +
Great timing for me, we are moving next month and it’s a huge transition that includes a job change for me. Lots of stress, lots of what ifs, lots of trying not to get ahead of the Lord. Thank you for this excellent reminder.
Finally got to your post today..it was uncanny. Just what I needed to hear. I was feeling inferior in a new position at work. WOW thank you. I have to remember to let go and let God. I really appreciate this post. You are awesome, D!!!❤
Diana I don't think I've commented before on your channel but I sincerely appreciate your videos and Godly encouragement! I'm a stay at home mom of 6 and transitions seem to be my life, and I have to learn anew each season what the daily routine looks like. Your videos encourage me right where I'm at, and just wanted to say a big THANK you... Your ability to encourage via technology is just one of the many ways you're blooming where God planted you. God bless you and your sweet family of 5!
Thank you for posting this! The way you retold Abraham and Sarah's story really helped me step back and take a different look at the good changes that are going on and the way I have responded to them. I just know this is going to help me take a differen approach to the uncharted territory and the major change for me. I have been seeking God about my attitude and heart posture toward these two changes that are happening in my life and then here is your video! I wrote a quote down from your video and stuck it on my desk so that I can redirect my mind and I wrote down the questions too. The quote that I wrote down is: "Transition can lead to transformation." Boyyy, do I ever want Jesus to keep helping me transform my heart and become more like him. I just highlighted Psalm 118-:23-24 the other day to remind me too! Have a great day Diana!!🙏😊
We have moved home just over two months ago after thirty eight years at our previous home which was all our married life so far...Husband and dog settled well but I am still struggling...We needed a bungalow nearer friends and family...I still feel as if intruding in someone else's life...
Wow thank you, Diana ! This message is so helpful for me during a time of upheaval and some distress. You look amazing ! I hope / trust that you and your twin sister had such a fun and joyful Birthday celebration ! God bless your parents for raising such wonderful children . Much love , Liz
I needed this message today. I'm in my late 40s, graduating college with my 1st degree in December. I've been anxious about the transition to working a full time job & what it will be. God brought me to this place and he will provide for me through it. Thank you so much for this! God bless you and everyone who makes these videos possible.
Thank you for this, Diana. It is great how you are able to show connections of Bible verses and stories to our everyday lives. I have read these passages but they take on new meaning every time I am in a transition. But you are right, the results when we truly pray will always be the same - God provides. My sister is currently is a most challenging transition in her life now. I hope this video (sharing this with her) provides her comfort as you share with us God's word.
This was very helpful. I am struggling in allowing my Lord to do it for me sometimes and not stepping aside. Here's a funning story. One day I was looking for Dawn's channel and stumbled on yours now you can imagine I was like wait this must be old one as she has long hair... wait, she is talking about children's names that I haven't heard of, and is that her husband's name? wait, does she have that type of vehicle? The more I listened the more I realize that while the mannerisms were almost the same these are NOT the same people... I did look at more of your videos and started liking them. God Is Good!
I always found this passage difficult to understand. How can we know what steps are our responsibility and when to let God take charge and let things develop without us needing to make effort and take matters into our hands. I want to trust but find it difficult to distinguish when to let God use me to do his work and take physical steps. Maybe more prayer is needed. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Agree! I got a message from the Lord to leave my job and rest. I am on my third month and I am itching to do something. Everytime I look for another job I choke. I want to travel but I dont want to be extravagrant. So far the Lord has provided financially by connecting me with a doctor who understands and puts me on medical. But, oh boy… I am bored. I pray everyday for the Lord to lead me to serve or to a job he wants me in or at least give me motivation and encouragement to look for job so I dont choke. I am not a good rester! 😅
Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10. My personal mantra when I get stressed or worried. He has always given me the answer on what path to take.
That was such a Good Word!!! Thank you for sharing! You look wonderful and I hope you and your sister had a very Happy Birthday!!!:) God Bless you and your precious family!
Thank you for this devotional this morning! It inspired me in so many ways..some things to add to the book I’m writing, to connect some dots biblically and to understand more about all the moves I’ve done around the country.
Idk if Abram had much choice once he already laid down the lie ("not my wife"). Amazing what consequence sin brings... But God works all things together for the good of those that love (obey) Him. I wonder how much better it would have been if Abram wouldn't have taken things in own hands. Transition currently: bringing mom home from seven days in hospital on O2. Uncertain if she'll be able to wean off or need always based on heart/lung function.

Fortunately the Lord protected Sarah and the pharoah did not have relations with her. She only read the 1st portion of it and did not continue and didn't read onto the next few chapters in 20:1-20. She only read Gen 12,... 8 chapters later, scripture explains itself within itself if you read on and actually they should have never ended up in Egypt in the 1st place. Thats where his 1st disobedience started, then he made up a plan to lie, etc....Abram makes the same mistake again, doing the exact same thing but with a different leader. The whole point of this story is where Abram failed and doubted and tried to "preserve" himself and his wife, the Lord Protected Sarai and Abram bc He had a Bigger purpose for their lives. Because we also find out that actually Sarai is in fact his half sister. The bible to me for many years, I thought were perfect humans who we could never measure up to but as I grew older in my faith, with Bible studies and church and fellowship, I actually learned the Bible is all about God and His Love and promises and provision and reconciliation towards us sinners and His plan for mankind. How He uses flawed, selfish, weak, broken people to show if we are willing to just trust God and Christ and obey Him, He will do immeasurably larger things in our life for His glory. I encourage u to read all of those verses again in full context. Blessings

It’s proof that taking matters into your hands is never a good idea, Gods plans are always the best. I have big changes coming up and I needed that !

Great job staying grounded in Him during this time… those are big changes!! Many blessings as you transition 💛🙏
Perfect timing, Diana!!! I'm juggling 3 situations and am waiting on the Lord for direction, wisdom, peace, and courage! Bless you!!!

Thank you, Diana!

This blessed me in a BIG way- I am a Pastor but still in transition as far as full time minstry and just home life stuff. Thank you for this message🥰

Diana-you help me understand the Bible so much better! I so appreciate your knowledge and most of all your love for God and us❤
Yes, moving to a new home has been one of the most difficult things I've had to do as an adult.
We've recently moved and I'm catching up on TH-cam videos I enjoy! I really enjoyed this as I do all your videos. Thank you.

What a blessing you are to me Diana. This was so timely and just what I needed to hear as I send my daughter off to college. Thank you x
❤ I LOVE your bible study and applications. Thank you so much!
God, bless Diana for blessing us.
The timing of this message is truly divine. Thank you ❤

Beautiful and encouraging message thank you.
Wise words. Many thanks!
Felt like I needed to hear this tonight 😢😊 Amen
Thank you Diane, I appreciate you!💖
I sent this to my granddaughter. She is 18 starts college this winter. Great video thank you Dianna
Thank you for this devotional this morning! It inspired me in so many ways..some things to add to the book I’m writing, to connect some dots biblically and to understand more about all the moves I’ve done around the country.
Such a good topic. Thanks so much for the wonderful encouragement!
Thanks! This was soooo good. I needed to hear this. 😀
A great message ♥️, thanks Diana.
Beautiful message, thank you!
Thank you! I needed this message today. ❤
I enjoyed this message so much! 😊
Thank you Diana💕
This was so good. I wish you had a podcast💕
Seems to me that Abram had fear working in his heart, but God (as usual) keeps his promise to Abram and blessed him despite himself.
I really needed this! ❤
I know that must of been hard for you since you are a twin. Being alone is very different.
I hope you had a great birthday! 🥳
Amen!
Amen.
Can you recomend a good and simple language Bible I can read?
We use the king James version. It has withstood the test of time. How many "translations " do we need. Some people have actually improved their reading level in reading it. Take your time in reading it. And God bless bless you with grace and wisdom in ❤️
Debora, consider looking into the NLT translation. It's my favorite translation for ease of understanding. (Even though I've been a Christian for over 40 years and have used several translations over the years, the NLT has been my daily go-to for the last decade or so. I love it.) Bless you, sister.
Can anyone get my friends
So Abram giving his wife to the pharoah to save his life and get rich is a beautiful story? I think Sarai may have thought differently.
That’s the part I can’t wrap my mind around either. Really bothers me!
Fortunately the Lord protected Sarah and the pharoah did not have relations with her.
" GEN12.19 Why saidst thou, She is my sister? so I might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way. "
God is so faithful. Even when Abraham's fear and human flaws showed up again a second time and he does the same thing later in Genesis. God protected Sarah again.
"GEN20.4 But Abimelech had not come near her."
Hope this encourages others. ❤
@Sandra thank you for trying to explain. It doesn't say that in Diana's translation.
