This one had come up on an Urdu list I am on many years ago. But even back then the author of "jhuumtee maikhaane se" could not be identified. There was some debate, IIRC, whether it was Zohrabai Agrewali herself, since we have a 78 RPM from her as well. There's at least one more, a third one with the radiif: "ho jaaye" that I have been harassing people about but haven't been able to get the words yet. Perhaps @gaganafzal1905 can help? th-cam.com/video/n90a8V-2AjM/w-d-xo.html •
Ah, well, seek and ye shall find! Ask and it shall be given unto you! Thank you so much for adding this ghazal and its words as well, Gagan Afzal saheb.
@@SundeepDougal Zohrabai sang it even better than Faiyaz Khan. Again not some valuable piece of literature so I wouldnt lose sleep over a missing verse or two
@@vinaypande Oh, I agree on Zohrabai entirely, but I would love to know who wrote it nevertheless. Literary quality is not an issue for most of the lyrics of HCM anyway, not just these ghazals for which the interest is more for their historical value. It is always fascinating for me to find out what and whose text is being sung. No wonder I am always left sleep-deprived and remain deeply envious of your not losing any sleep ever over such trivialities!
@@SundeepDougal I came across a mention somewhere (most probably in an article) that this Ghazal is attributed to Shad Azeemabadi, I'll try to track down the source.
