Squidward is a character on SpongeBob SquarePants. Looking again at the purple one, I kind of see the big eye of a squid with the pivot and pivot collar. For what it’s worth.
Got mine yesterday got the richlite version for a great deal (70% discount) yay. My first front flipper knife (made a short if you wanna see it) its a fun knife love the special scales on mine
I just got one on sale and I love it.. it has one issue but may be anecdotal. I cannot do the front flip with index finger at all.. detent is way to hard. And only way to get enough leverage with my thumb is a full hand-hold.. so the tip of blade hits my palm and doesn’t fully open. That sounds bad.. and is. I loosened the pivot and it didn’t help, it’s the detent itself. With all that said though, for what I paid and the quality of the knife.. I’m alright with that. I’m hoping it loosens a bit as it breaks in.
So for $34 was hard to pass. I normally don’t buy sub-3”, but this brand and steel for that would be stupid to pass up. Excited to get in hand, will be a good carry for my shorts and b-ball pants or whatever they called. Lightweight and tough.
I got bitten by my new cold steel voyager large tanto a few weeks ago. That scared the shits out of me. The lock was insanely sticky, so I stupidly took my pointer finger away from the safe zone to get more leverage and THWAP, it closes on my finger. With a force. I thought I’d cut half my index finger off. That blade is SHARP and HEAVY. It was deep, hit the bone, but luckily on the top of the finger, not the fleshy underside. Finger is healed now, cut was very clean and straight. Not taking that knife lightly anymore 😅
