Though my father was not a game-lover, he bought me computers, speakers, and many game titles when I was young. But there was a rule. the computer had to be located in the living room, because my parents did not want me to sit down there forever. One day, I was building the house for my sims, and my father was watching TV right next to me. Then he said, this song was the most beautiful song he ever heard among all of my games. Well, obviously, because my other favorite game was Diablo 2 and it was all about killing monsters and wandering dungeons. Then he bought me all of the Sims 1 expansion packs whenever the new one came out, except for Makin' Magic; because he said that it was unrealistic xD
Aha similar situation here. Father didnt like videogames but still got me a computer, pc parts and money for games. I was only allowed to play in the afternoon and I also wasn't allowed to get Makin' Magic out of all the expansions because of the magic part. My parents were quite strict with religion and stuff back then. (not so much anymore)

It makes me cry when I hear this music. I remember me playing Sims 1 in the PS2 when I was about 8. I remember making a house that resembles to my house back then.*sighs* Good old days..... Still is stuck in my head and my heart.
So simple. I IV V progression in circle of fourths. with broken 16th note triads and major 7th chords. Basic music theory and writing, but so insanely beautiful.
There are certain composers that just never get the credit they deserve, Jerry Martin my dear friends, JERRY MARTIN. Also composed the Sim City 3000 soundtrack! The magnitude of this eternal man is just epic...so epic it makes me want to cry.
I came here when i need to sleep, drunk and stoned as fuck, is the only place I once enjoy without being an adult, real work and real life sucks, if i only could choose Sims houses forever... Happiness was here... I was blind with eyes.
This song is the embodiment of my lasting optimism for a better day when life gets tough, this game and song will always have a special place in my heart
Makes me almost cry. Playing this was my only means of escape from a not great childhood. I would play for hours and make happy families and beautiful homes. Listening to this brings me such comfort
I'd like to think that this game is the soul reason, if not one of the reasons, as to why I have such a deep love for piano music and playing the piano itself. It's such a beautiful thing to feel everything this song is trying to deliver to you while not having to speak or sing a single word in order to do so.
i used to have dreams with this song playing every time i went to sleep and i was just building a house piece by piece in the middle of this forest glade with running water it was crazy, i had that dream for a long time until i just didnt and i also completely forgot about this game man this song evoked such a strong memory that i completely forgot i had, what a trip of a game lmao
Would pay anything to turn the time back in the year when everyone played this game just to talk to friends and tell them about my Sims 1 Family with my dream wife and a view kids... nistalgia everywhere!!!
Great number of things were left to our imagination and creativity in The Sims 1. Then it was taken by the expansions (well, "Hot Date" was alright, but that's it) and later on by the graphics and finally by that time suddenly you are too old.
I always come back to these. As a kid I played for the live mode, but my dad played for build mode so I'll always remember sitting across the room hearing this music
checking all the comments saying rosebud;!;!;!;!;! am i the only one here who had the version in which you had to type "klapaucius;!;!;!;!;!;!" instead?
Where did all the years and memories go? I can still remember sitting there with my older sister(Who was 9 at the time, and I was 5.) Watching her play. And after about 2 hours everytime, she would get off and let me have a turn. I remember spending almost all my time in build mode. So many good memories.
Sad, but poetic. When i was a little girl i remember me playing "The Sims" and now im playing "The Sims 4" Good times, you know :'). 19-18 years ago, 1999-2000 since :')❤
There was nothing better than playing this game on my glorious aqua i-mac. It was an X-mas gift from my folks when I was 15, or 16, and was the first real computer I could call my own. I loved the hell out of that thing.

I feel like such a 28 year old boomer for listening to this in 2020 but damn it let me have this.
This was some of the finest of video gaming period.
doesn't matter what kind of mood i'm in, this sound makes me happy, calm, and nostalgic. damn my awesome childhood.
There are certain composers that just never get the credit they deserve, Jerry Martin my dear friends, JERRY MARTIN. Also composed the Sim City 3000 soundtrack! The magnitude of this eternal man is just epic...so epic it makes me want to cry.
Best music in The Sims series!
I get this stuck in my head randomly.
ESTO ES MI INFANCIA.
GRACIAS andysekis POR ESTA LISTA DE REPRODUCCION :D
I came here when i need to sleep, drunk and stoned as fuck, is the only place I once enjoy without being an adult, real work and real life sucks, if i only could choose Sims houses forever... Happiness was here... I was blind with eyes.
Cette musique me rappel enormement de souvenirs.
La même chose. :\
Moi Aussi
Trop trop de souvenirs.
This song is the embodiment of my lasting optimism for a better day when life gets tough, this game and song will always have a special place in my heart
Sometimes I think we're all sims, and God is the player controlling our every move.
+John Dura I wish he would make me a friend :(
=[
+Russel Cow i CAN BE UR FRIEND WE CAN START A HEARD TOGETHER
+Jim Bovine Herd?
+Salmon Tree nERD?!
Makes me almost cry. Playing this was my only means of escape from a not great childhood. I would play for hours and make happy families and beautiful homes. Listening to this brings me such comfort
This is the type of shit that makes u build like an architect
This track. Whenever I would go into build mode, I'd switch in and out until this track was selected.
My personal favorite besides number 1.
I'd like to think that this game is the soul reason, if not one of the reasons, as to why I have such a deep love for piano music and playing the piano itself. It's such a beautiful thing to feel everything this song is trying to deliver to you while not having to speak or sing a single word in order to do so.
Why is this not apart of the Apple Music album? I just realized Spotify and Apple Music are missing a few tracks, this being one of them.
i used to have dreams with this song playing every time i went to sleep and i was just building a house piece by piece in the middle of this forest glade with running water
it was crazy, i had that dream for a long time until i just didnt and i also completely forgot about this game
man this song evoked such a strong memory that i completely forgot i had, what a trip of a game lmao
Wow brings back memories
My head is just exploding of nostalgia. Thank you so much for uploading these songs, honestly.
Would pay anything to turn the time back in the year when everyone played this game just to talk to friends and tell them about my Sims 1 Family with my dream wife and a view kids... nistalgia everywhere!!!
My house is designed better than your house! :P LOL JK!
Klapaucius was the cheat in the stock game, without expansion packs. If you had an expansion pack, you used rosebud.
+TheCheezFace I always used klapaucius. I didn't knew about rosebud untill recently.
omgdnes! o: now i understand :0.. well ''klapaucius'' cheat is for the poors who had no expansions c:
Where did all the years and memories go? I can still remember sitting there with my older sister(Who was 9 at the time, and I was 5.) Watching her play. And after about 2 hours everytime, she would get off and let me have a turn. I remember spending almost all my time in build mode. So many good memories.
Since We Met - Jerry Martin
You're welcome :)
"Since We Met" i think
Sad, but poetic.
When i was a little girl i remember me playing "The Sims" and now im playing "The Sims 4" Good times, you know :').
19-18 years ago, 1999-2000 since :')❤
Spring cleaning music
If you're 13 and already being nostalgic about memories, than you have a LONG road ahead of you
those people are 21 right now...time flies...
Well, I'm actually kind of looking forward to the Sims 3. The franchise is in no way doomed.
I don't remember any of them anymore but how I wish I could see all the houses I made when I was a kid.
I wish they had the option in sims 3 and 4 to use these clasics instead of the modern soundtracks, i'd pay for it if it was a DLC XD
This song is in the Sims 4
pikapikapitiful Seriously ? :O
Yeah I don't know where it plays it tho but if you go to options it's there underneath the category retro tunes or something like that
you can in sims 3. there is an option to upload music. you can do almost anything in that game
tmass1 You can put music in all games if you have the files :)
There was nothing better than playing this game on my glorious aqua i-mac. It was an X-mas gift from my folks when I was 15, or 16, and was the first real computer I could call my own. I loved the hell out of that thing.
Anyone else ever trap their kids upstairs so that they wouldn't go to school and have to go to military schools? Those were the good old days..
Those were the good old days. Playing this game was fun too.
