My friend from work has really dark brown hair, and she decided to lighten it. She was complaining that her head hurt from the stylist pulling on it while putting in the foils, and that she had to sit for three hours to get it done, but it was SO WORTH IT. She looks so lovely now! Her overall color is just slightly lighter, but she has really beautiful dark blonde highlights in it and it just suits her so well. I was so happy she went to a salon and had it done properly. She said she thought about doing it at home, but watching videos of how easy it is to ruin your hair, she decided it was worth having it done professionally.

She should have stopped at the second bleach and just used a good toner.
Last year I decided to get my hair bleached and coloured . I have thin hair but a lot of it . Before the bleach process my hair was down the middle of my back . After bleaching she had to cut it to my shoulders . Then she toned it and then coloured it . I took a shower the next day and when drying my hair I noticed that the fresh cut ends were snapping. Parts of my hair felt like string . I was horrified. I have learnt to never bleach my hair again I lost a lot of length and I’m still trying to grow it out .

Me a professional hairdresser screaming at anyone who thinks coconut oil before bleaching is going to accomplish anything , you wouldn’t guess how many ladies come in and are like but I used coconut oil it wasn’t meant to do this and u have to break down every little bit of info for them and then I get the soooo just like don’t use coconut oil before I bleach and my answer is if you bleach it yourself you’ll come in asking for us to shave it , it’s happened twice so far

the before & after photos look almost exactly the same, and she just naturally looks better with either very dark or very light hair. I feel that the in between grey shade was a mistake on her skintone... 😖 just my opinion

In Australia it's very hard to get olaplex that goes in with the bleach without a hairdresser licence. We can get the after care stuff tho.

My mom also bleached her hair twice in 24 hours going from red to platinum. I think we saved her hair with daily serum treatments!

Hair should be sectioned and mixture applied THICKLY and processed at room temp. Oil Bleach with Activator / Protonator Powder ( Three Packettes ) and 20 Volume for 60 Min. Per session. Allow at least 8 Hours between (24 to 48 is ideal) and use Olaplex or Protein and Oil Treatments in between.

You can ADD a little Coconut Oil to the Bleach Mixture about ONE TABLESPOON ( Liquified) for each 4 - 6 Oz. Of mixture to offset dryness and condition hair.
That was a lot of damage to her hair for a slightly lighter gray.
