Woodturning | Large Cedar Bowl

- Today in the workshop i take a Cedar bowl blank and make a large platter or bowl . this woodturning was a fun one. as always i turned this bowl on the record power coronet herald wood lathe and used my easy wood tools carbide turning tools . i finished this with yorkshire grit abrasive paste and Woodwax 22 from Chestnut

JP when you started this bowl were you using a square carbide ? , Is there a difference between the Cedar you have used and the Red ish one I have seen. Great bowl JP 👏👏👍👍👍👍
Douglas, depending on the soil where the cedar grows it can change the colour of the wood, this was growing on heavy clay-
No mate i started with the circle cutter, regarding the colour of the Cedar....What Keith said below LOL. Thanks mate
