I don't know if you're still checking this (posted in 2012) , but if you are, these are fabulous animations. Really great, great work. I've just built my own cube and I'm writing the animations now (got about 10 of the basic ones so far), and I'll be 'stealing' some of your ideas for additional ones...because I have no imagination that way.
I didn't program the animation myself.

For programming I use "Atmel Studio".
For controlling various Java based Programms you find in the zip file and "Processing".
But its a long time ago.

Fornax's Cube has a ATmega32P.
currently I use ATmega1284P because ATmega 32 has too little memory for all effects. I have comment all changes for the ATmega1284P in the code.

could you please explain how to make the fornax circuit to work with the CHR code? Will it work if i change the ports or is it more complicated. Thanks

I would like to just have the chr code to work on fornax circuit because I want to use atmega32, or simply how do I erase the other effects that i dont wan't from other people?

ATMega32 but with fewer animations.
