- In this tutorial, we'll talk about Settlement Management introduced in the v0.8 major update.
Soulash 2 is a sandbox RPG game where you can create your own stories in procedurally generated living worlds. It's available on Steam and Itch.io.

Finally, we can make our kind of Rimworld/Dwarf Fortress experience of cataclysmic ending to campaign)
I'm working on my first playthrough and I have a troll with 30 Strength and 80 Endurance. I have over 350 HP and I made it out of my hometown by buying meat, cooking it, and selling it back to the vendor.
I'm currently working on building my first settlement next to some apple trees and a river.
Yay, thank you for adding settlement management, been looking forward to it ❤
Very nice feature!
As a person that is not into creating buildings, is there or will there be prefab structures? Or even better the option to have a 'builder' in our town and tell them we need 3 houses and a wheat farm and they take care of it over time?
I don't plan it right now, but we'll see. In theory it shouldn't be difficult to add the ability to use existing racial prefabs, but it would be a pretty substantial extra menu to clutter the game.
@@wizardsofthecode7923 Maybe even just have a way to queue buildings you want. Let the AI decide where they are placed and all that.
Rather than us choosing where it goes. Less UI that way maybe.
An exciting update! Will start playing again soon.
Just came across this game and saw the roadmap post very excited to be a litch and necromancy
It would be really nice if there was some grade between the initial settlement and the 10,000 step. My carpenter can build all these buildings and stock it with food but not even a single person can live there unless I throw 10,000g into the river? would be nice if there was some intermediate step(s).
10k is really not that much money in this game.. i have 30 hours and can come up with that pretty quickly
Invest in an axe and a pickaxe, cut down a few yew or cedar tree groves and search every town mine you go to, then look for good deals on bulk trade goods and you can make that money easy
Thank you so much for this video
Does hiring a recruit, going to a settlement, and removing from party makes the recruit part of it ?
Obviously not great for your own, but i kinda want to artificially turbocharge pop growth in my hometown.
Also, what if you transplant multiple families of another species, like two or more 5+ strong families of goblins into a rashimi town, what happens concerning births and whatnot ?
What about bone wraiths, do they actually need a bone cauldron mechanically to grow pop ?
They won't join the town, but should linger in the area if you want to hire them again. Maybe later we'll make them join the military company.
I was looking forward to this moment!!
If I have a structure in my colony that requires a certain resource, but I can't make the resource itself, (have a smelter but don't have mines) is it possible for the npcs to buy the ore themselves, or we have to manually supply them?
can't wait to play as a human and then start expanding the lizard population!
Is it just me, or does the carpenter somehow doesnt work on acacia logs/woods?
They do seem to work on the mahogany log i sent them, though...
Yes, not all types of logs are processed by the carpenters. I'll see if it needs adjustment.
Hey bro, I don't know what traits Dwarven settlements have but every world that I created has at least half of them turn into ruins
Probably not enough goats.
Does anyone know what happens if you make a settlement and the character you founded it with dies in Dark Fantasy mode? Can a new character reclaim the settlement or is forever useless?
How to capture npc? The road map we can either invite or capture😅
It's not possible right now, I think once we have wars it will make more sense to add it. ;)
@@wizardsofthecode7923 Can't wait to see what wars and military will be like.
I hope that battles will happen in-engine instead of being simulated, but the game turns into a strategy game where you can control multiple units at once.
It seems really weird that you can't introduce new crops to a region that can support them.
Maybe we'll go into terraforming one day, but for now all world tiles are bound by the natural resources that spawn per biome.
Is there a way to get caravans to come to your settlement? Or just resources out gold in?
You can send from your settlement to another your settlement, but from NPC towns you'll need to trade manually with a family and instead of backpack select delivery to town.
@@wizardsofthecode7923 thank you!
How do i build a wood cutter if i cant pick up a log
You can drag the log close to the stash and it will show up in the stash GUI to put it there. Then build using the stash resources.
@wizardsofthecode7923 OK thank you
Is there a way for character from orphanage to have a family of his own? Damn my human is already on 20-ish still grinding for money to lvl 2 😂 (too scared too fight a troublesome but easy are just too easy 🏃)
Stash the gold and try troublesome. :)
Starting our own families will come in the next month or so.
@@wizardsofthecode7923 chief monkey sucks man first round of fight he pull 50 damage skill 💀 after i flee and fight him again he stopped using the 50 damage skill damn.
Thanks for the info dude hope my human character can still outlive it (should just go for dwarf & spell from the start dang)
10k for a leve 2? It's farming time 😎
