I choose A4. I am just beginning and I have all frosted bowls. I have no musical training but to my ear A4 is a lovely addition. Your presentation was wonderful 🙏🏻❤️👵
Thanks so much!
Beautiful. Thanks for explaining!
Thank you!
Thank you for your insight. I love how you discuss the notes and how the contrasting resonance feels.
My pleasure!
Fantastic! I'm shopping and this was very helpful.
Real nice to see someone selling these who actually know what they're doing with sound. Lovely combo of notes and intervals.
Is there no way we can create frosted bowls with none of the harsh scraping tone? Or clear bowls with a deeper tone? Why one or the other? I'd like to see all frosted bowls thrown back in the computer factory trash 🤷 you make them sound the best they can be but even then that scraping sound is nasty and unfortunately far too many aren't as well trained as you are.
To answer your question I'd prefer the large A3 and use it as a bell to strike, never try to make it sing. ...unless someone invents a striker that eliminates that initial scraping.
Thanks for your kind words. I really do enjoy making these videos. We now have a process for sanding the edges of the frosted bowls to make them quieter. We do this on all our bowls now. When you use a silicone wand on them they are very quiet. As for the clear bowls, they do make them in the lower tones, it is just a challenge to find them in perfect pitch.
Beautiful. Thank you
Thanks for listening
love watching your videos thanks! love from Hong Kong ❤
Glad you like them!
Beautiful
Thank you very much. I love making videos to help people pick singing bowls.
Which one did she end up choosing? A4 was my choice before you played her. This was absolutely breathtaking ❤
Great choice! She ended up choosing the clear E4, Iridescent G4 and the Clear A4. She loved them all.
The A4 definitely sounds beautiful! May I ask where to get it? Thanks!
Thank you. It sure is a nice bowl. I sold that one and I don't get a lot of the clear bowls in, but when I do have them, they are listed on our website soundhealinginstruments.com/collections/crystal-singing-bowls?gf_28378=Clear
So beautiful. May I ask what size bowl the A3 frosted bowl is and also the the A4 clear bowl?
The frosted A3 is 14". It is a really nice size, easy to play and stunning resonance. The A4 was probably around 6", I don't have that one anymore, but do get them in from tie to time.
I love your energy and this explanation thank-you. What are the long looking mallets called?
I am glad you enjoyed this video. The long mallets are called Bunny Tail mallets because they look like bunny tails. We make them here and sell them at this link. soundhealinginstruments.com/collections/singing-bowl-mallets-wands-and-bags/products/bunny-tail-mallet
Oh cute! Can they be used on the clearbowls? Or only the frosted@@soundjourneystore
You can use them on all your bowls, plus on tongue drums and native hand drums too.

Is there any way to reduce the "scratchy" sound heard when playing the rim of frosted bowls? To me it's extremely irritating (akin to nails on a chalkboard) but I otherwise love the durability and volume of frosted bowls. Any tips would be great!
Yes, the silicone wand is much quieter. Cell phones amplify the sound, like in this video. It is quieter in real life. Also, with the bowls we sell, Ivan takes the bowls into his workshop and sands the edges of the bowl to make them even quieter.
Thank you for sharing! How can you tell if someone is selling just a glass bowl instead of a crystal bowl.
Glass is made from about 80% quartz crystal silica sand and then other sands. Crystal singing bowls are just quartz crystal silica sand. That is why some wine glassing sing with a wet finger on the rim and others don't. If the bowl sings you know it is a singing bowl
Thank you so much for your response. ❤ I guess there are just different qualities. I sadly bought one from Amazon and the sound is tinny and poor quality. I guess you get what you pay for. 😢
@@micass3561 You are correct about that. I am sorry to hear that you did not get a nice sounding bowl. Wall thickness in relation to the note has a big impact on the sound of the bowl.
Hi, Are you in the UK? what are the sizes of your bowls? thanks
We are in Canada but do ship to the UK
