I love the Professor Layton universe SO much, you guys. I'm happy to finally be uploading another song from the series! This is the ending theme to the last installment of the series -- Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy.
These English lyrics are loosely based upon the meaning of the original Japanese version of the song, but I took some free reign with them, so it's not quite a direct translation.

Ive been listening to this song a lot lately, the new game announcement had great timing! I am so happy
I've cried at plenty of videogames, but I think Azran Legacies and Unwound Future have been the only games where I've bawled my eyes out. It's just something about these characters and their emotions.
Pedro Gomez I cried at most of them but the azran legacy tore me apart and the unwound future broke my heart into pieces
I cried when I finished Mario 64 as a kid, I also cried at the Unwound Future's ending, at this game's ending and at the end of PMD Explorers of Time
Specter’s call broke me.
Regardless of how many times I listen to this, it never loses its soothing feeling. It's such a great song to listen to when you can't sleep or you just have a crummy day. I couldn't mix this without tearing up.
Come back to this song after watching Nintendo Direct. I'm crying happy tears right now.
I came back after the announcement of the new game and am just happy to see i am not alone in this comment section. Cant wait for this new game that will release for surely someday.
I just finished this game, and I loved the actual gameplay, but I felt the ending was really weak. Especially how they handled Descole and Emmy's departures from the series. I was so excited to see the goofy, heartrending reasons they'd come up with for their leaving and it just... wasn't there!
Oh well.
...Maybe we'll get a Luke Trilogy? :D?

So long Professor Layton. It's been an amazing journey through all of your games and meeting new memorable characters along the way and solving puzzles that would take me hours to figure out. But all good things must come to an end. I'm sure Lady Layton will be an excellent follow up to the series but me and everyone else will never forget you. Hopefully we'll meet you again someday in the future but farewell for now.
Hey Adrisarus! I just wanted to say I love this translation so much, and I'm a camp counselor at a Girl Scout summer camp and when I run out of slow camp songs to sing at night when I have girls having trouble falling asleep I sing them this song and they love it a lot. Keep it up with your songs I love them lots :D

I have never played a Prof. Layton game, but several things I've heard about it make me want to, especially "The Unwound Future" and its love story between Layton and Claire...broke my heart.

Professor Layton has played a huge part in my life. I absolutely loved the series growing up, and still love them to this day. It takes me back to my childhood of playing the games on my old DS late at night pretending to be asleep.
My very first Layton game was actually Curious Village. Then I started buying the other games and playing some of the ones my sister had until I played them all. And honestly, Professor Layton is just amazing. So amazing, words can't even describe. As well as being a mystery-detective sort of series, what stuck out to me was the stories and endings, on top of the characters.
Spoiler alert for the endings of the games!
Like in Curious Village. Where Flora left her home. Then in Lost Future, Layton loses Claire again. And Luke leaves Layton too. That ending where Layton started crying, as well as Luke saying to Professor "I'm sorry...but I'm not ready to be a gentleman yet!" then breaking down into tears...man. Professor was like a father to Luke. So seeing them part was sad, but they were together for the future games.

Even though it's a long shot, I REALLY hope they bring Emmy back in the new game. After all, it's been, what, almost a decade since Azran Legacy? I think she'd have found her redemption, and then some at this point. And that hug as the end of Legacy was so genuine and heartbreaking. Like, is it weird that I see Layton and Emmy together? Call it a dumb idea if you want, but there's no denying that they'd make a cute couple.
I haven't listened to this in almost 3 years and here I am again. I remember crying the first time I heard this and singing it all the time :') I used to pretend I was singing this to my future self. Her cover of this song will forever stick with me, it's so lovely 🥺💕
I don't like the universe as much as you do (even though I like it too) but this song is so sad, considering that it seems to be about the end of the series. I love the Ace Attorney series and this song made me cry because I fear that this song describes what I will feel then. You already know this feelings-you express them so good.

I've been putting off from listening to this cover for months until I finally finished Azran Legacy. Even though I've had the game since launch, I delayed completing it just because I knew the Professor's adventures had come to an end. Now that I've finished the last puzzle, I finally decided to listen to this masterpiece. Lastly, I'd just like to commend you on this fantastic arrangement! It captured the emotions from the game in the best way imaginable. Keep up the great work!

OMG AMAZING
You know, Azran Legacies technically isn't the last game. There IS actually a sequel to the series itself, where you play as the good Professor's son, Alfendi. It's called Layton Brothers Mystery Room. It's on iOS and it's not half bad, if you're looking for just one more Layton adventure. It's not quite as puzzling as the original games, however, being kind of easy for a Layton game.
I've never played this series, but this song hit me right in the feels. Then I noticed how well this fits the ending of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. ;_;
