@WildGhoul - I was surprised by how many women enjoyed EDC gear but didn't have a platform to enjoy conversing about it. Glad I was able to fill a need and promote the EDC community further!
Have you considered the Companion? I just ordered the Paris edition for my wife and it seems to be a better all-arounder yeah? You get that nail cleaning tool and the amazing box opener! I wish they made a normal red scales version lol
@dvdaltizer - I have seen a few people ask about the Companion, funny enough. The Companion model has excellent reviews and the added bonus of a nail cleaner. For me, I have a Midnite Manager if I need that particular tool, so I haven't purchased a Companion model. I will say, the color combo for the Paris Style is darling!
Hey lady 👊🏼 I love the Climber, such a classic SAK, but also consider the Compact with the embedded nail file and pen that you may find useful 😉 The fairly new Companion is also worth considering for it's package opener and overall colorful designs, which you may like. Cool video 😎 Thanks for sharing, Gus 👍🏻
@gadgetgus - I'm so glad that you mentioned the Compact model with the nail filer. I plan on talking about the Classic Compact model soon! Swiss Army Knives are solid, good gadgets that I absolutely adore. Thank you for the kind words!
For the anker products, i would suggest the 5000mah anker nano over that cylinder one or a 10,000mah with the built in cable. They fit easily in your pocket or sling bag
@ElegantlyEDC the nano i gave to my lady as its small and fits any little purse she carries and is enough for 1 full phone charge and has built in connection as well so you dont need to carry a cable. The 10,000 charges at 30 watts so itnstays in my tomtoc sling. For longer outings i bring the 27650 version of the prime one you have. I recommend the charging base as well as it makes charging easy amd effortless. IMO everyone should have a 10,000mah bank they carry daily with them amd then a 20,000mah or more to take for your bigger devices (tablets, laptops, etc)
@@JoshThompson25 That's fantastic- thank you for your insight into the nano. The built in connection sounds perfect for purses- my charging cord sometimes gets caught in things, and its really annoying. I agree with your opinion- everyone should have a 10,000 mah power bank. It's hard to live life without one once you add it to your EDC kit.
I just bought the Anker Nano 5000 Mah battery pack and you should take a look at that version as well! It’s even smaller than the CORE 5000 you showed us
@SegerGiesbers - Thanks for the tip; I'll definitely look into it! How do you feel about the battery pack so far? How long does it last on a full charge?
Great video! WOW, I’ve never seen an SAK like your dad’s-I wouldn’t be surprised if a defibrillator was in there somewhere. I have a suggestion for one more item. There’s nothing more unladylike than using a piece of cardboard or some other improvised tool if a fastfood worker forgot to include the spork … in which case I now carry a portable utensil set in my bag. It includes a fork, knife, spoon, straw, and of course I throw in a couple of cloth napkins.
@durhamskywriter - Yes! I actually have a portable utensil set in my hiking/outdoor EDC bag. A video on that bag and its contents is in the pipeline, so stay tuned! In the meantime, would you happen to remember the brand of portable utensils you use?
@@ElegantlyEDC I have two utensil sets-One is bamboo (from Bamboo Utensils) and is less than $7 (USA). It comes with a soft case + carabiner. The other is stainless steel (from TWUTGAYW) and is less than $9. It comes with a nice case + drawstring bag. Both include straws and straw-cleaners and were purchased from that big online store.
Okay, a couple tips from a lover of swiss army knives. The reamer is actually for drilling holes (it's really a reamer+awl combo) and it is the perfect tool to make a hole for a drywall anchor. Also another fun use for your swiss army knife, pull your parcel hook all the way back as far as it will go, then pull out the can opener like 3/4 of the way. Now you have yourself a phone stand. Also if you've got kids a slip joint knife like a sak is great because the littles can't open anything dangerous if they find it lying around
Awesome tips! I had no idea that the reamer could be used for drywall- glad that I got to learn something new from this as well! The phone stand is also an excellent little hack. I'll have to try it out myself! I love Swiss Army knives and would love to do a whole episode on those alone. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment- I really appreciate it.
Another great video! I'm a huge Anker fan and have happily carried the PowerCore in my EDC. However, I recently switched our house to a collection of the Anker Nano Power Bank. It has similar stats but is a bit smaller, includes a built-in plug (USB-C or lightning depending on the model) and has an additional USB-C in/out port. Have you had the opportunity to try this model? I would love to hear your thoughts on that particular form factor. Cheers!
I have not personally used the Nano Power Bank; another commenter actually recommended this power bank as well. I like that it has a built-in power cord as it saves from having to pack an additional, separate cord. It's on my short list of EDC items to try; thanks for the recommendation!
If you look closely to the left of the frame…you’ll know the answer. I will, in due time, talk about this critical EDC item. It’s just that we live in such a divided country that even bringing up this issue would, unfortunately, invoke politics and stray from the core mission of this TH-cam channel, which is to encourage women to be better prepared by considering what they carry every day. Additionally, I have the privilege of training several times a year with retired law enforcement officers, and I want to make sure that when I do talk about it, I have everything in place. Politics is not my mission, especially for such a new channel that I am trying to grow. All that to say, good question; I will address it soon :)
@vladspb_ - Yeah, there are times when I really wish it had a nail file. I'll review two different models soon, each with a file. I like to keep my nails manicured as best I can, haha!
If you own any of these items, or perhaps other items from these brands, feel free to comment what they are and your experience with them!
These are exceptionally well produced. Keep going!
Thank you!
Great video! Succinct and informative. I’m a woman, and it’s great to have a woman’s perspective. Keep going!
Agreed!
Thank you so much! I appreciate you taking the time to comment!
Great video! I love women carrying a Swiss Army Knife!
