5:04 this is actually a super cool twist because this is ACTUALLY how magnetic doors work, unlike the original FNAF. In real life, magnetic doors require power to stay open, so this is really cool attention to detail here.
what if if FNaF 1 the power went into powering stronger electromagnets on the floor that would close the doors..? Eh, I can't come out with a reasonable explanation for this
@@trappergroupyt that would make sense, but it also means they need quite a bit of power to do it (power _we_ could use to have the doors working), and also would not really explain why the power consumption is higher when they are closed
I’m not HUGE fans of the “Some Nights at Joe’s” series (currently containing 5 games, 3 “classic” and 2 remakes) but the two remakes are really polished. The mechanics are familiar, while also branching out a tad bit to add some originality. The remake of the second game is one of the most challenging fan games I’ve ever played due to the amount of things to juggle and prioritize. I’ll leave it at that for now, since I would love to see you review the remakes (especially snaj 2r)
Left to Rot is an awesome fangame. Stage 2 gave me a bit of trouble but I love the game still. I quite like fan games that use the basic fnaf characters and storyline, but spin on it, giving unique designs and interesting gameplay that (can) change every night. This and The Joy Of Creation: Story mode, are some of the best fnaf fan games out there. Wonderful video, PlainTrace!
The nitpick isn't that bad when you remember Sister Location also forces you to get the real ending before you can get the fake one. Not only do you need to win the Cupcake minigame, but you also need to have gotten your first star from beating the initial game (if I remember correctly). I also understand why they'd do this; the dev spent a lot of time on both endings. If you weren't forced to do both, people would rarely ever get the tragic ending because the internet would tell everyone how to avoid it. It's a way to make sure everyone experiences the thing that had so much work put into it.
_A Shadow Over Freddy's_ is still my favorite. That one managed to check all the boxes for me: it's directly tied to FNAF and expands upon the story in a cool way, it has its own unique gameplay totally segregated from sit-and-survive, and it actually manages to be a fun, scary game. The 3D ones tend to feel like fangames to me, whereas the only reason I could tell that _A Shadow Over Freddy's_ was fanmade was because it's story was _actually_ rather disturbing and unsettling. Great vid dude; you're on fire lately! I think I've released maybe 20 min of scripted content in the same period that you've dropped like 90min+ lol.
Seems legit I prefer, over everything else, how FNAC 2 and 3 work. 2 feels great, and aside from the less than stellar graphical design, is great in terms of gameplay.
My favorite FNAF fan game has got to be TJOC. It has some of the best character designs, and an amazing story line. The mechanics are very unique and fits in perfectly with everything else. Henry is *such* a good antagonist. While Dave in a way is more similar to the older versions of purple guy around FNaF 2, Henry really feels like a better version of modern William Afton. And DSaF actually knows to end the story on a good note.
Edited because I did a crap job explaining the game the first time. My recent favorite fangame as of recent goes by the bizarre name of The Horde: Revitalized. I loved it because of it's unorthodox, obscure nature. REALLY small game, no one's heard of it really; but it's intriguing in it's own right; and my favorite (at least recently), due to it having an emphasis on story and gameplay instead of graphics. It has a bizarre artstyle, and has this journal you go to to read up on what to do with animatronics; as well as learn more about it's world and characters. There's lots of mechanics, it's chaotic; and has some level of depth to gameplay. Small choices, as well as having some room for error. Letting the player choose how they go about gameplay instead of only one small mechanic for each character. Tldr: game has some depth, allows players room for error and to choose their playstyle to a degree. Game has a world with characters that feel more like people than traditional fangames; and focuses on gameplay and story instead of graphics. Besides that, left to rot is great; probably my favorite of that era. Also good vid.😀
@@Realityoftenhurts Was thinking the same thing lmao. Man said so much yet nothing at all, I know fuck all about the game still besides it being "unorthodox nature"
For me, Jolly 3 Chapter 1 is the best FNaF fangame that has been released to date, it innovates in many aspects, such as the mechanics of repairing the fans and using the gas to avoid being killed. There are also the games after each night, and the minigames to learn about the story, the only thing I don't like (and this happens a lot in the Jolly franchise) is that the sounds of the jumpscares are not that good, I takes some of the terror out of the animatronics. But without a doubt, that does not make it a bad game.
Among my favorite and personal picks for best fangames are: Dormitabis, Baby’s Nightmare Circus, Tyke and Son’s Lumber Co, Final Nights 4, Fredbear and Friends: Left to Rot, as well as Shadow over Freddy’s These are the best of the best in terms of gameplay, visuals, story, and depth. They all offer more than any other barebones sit and survive fan game. Really really original and unique as well, check em all out!
dormitabis is just absolutely amazing, i hope more lore or a second game gets made, the concept is horrifying and garvey and the cardboard game gave me nightmares
If I were to suggest a game, I would definitely suggest “Phobia: the awakening.” It’s a wiggles themed fnaf fan game made in blender and while all the human voices may be text to speech, all of the animatronics lines are actual clips from wiggles movies and TV episodes. It features a mask to defend from the halls, a vent closing system, an animatronic to watch on the cams, and one right in front of you which you have to shock in case they move. The way the animatronics move around your office, and take a little while to kill you upon entering your office, or in the case of the cam animatronic, left on a cam other than their default for to long. 6 nights, hidden tapes with story on hem to find throughout each night, and it generally made me scared of the wiggles. Give it a look at please!
I personally really like "Tyke and Sons Co.", mostly because it's a nice reference to Scott's older games, and also I love the mixed mechanics. It slightly reminds me of FFPS.
I'd love a review of 'Dormitabis', every single night is different technically speaking, and gets really challenging in the later nights and has great mini games and lore. For me it's my favourite and I recommend it if you haven't tried it already.
@@was6.9 the graphics and visuals looked nice i thought, but they don't really make a game. The animatronic designs do get a bit weird but that's all I have for nit picks
Absolutely agree. I have pretty much no issues with Dormitabis, one of my favorite fangames out there. Gameplay is also great, and I keep coming back to it every so often for fun ngl. :)
I really like this game and I haven't quite watched the video so this may be addressed but one of my major problems with this game is it has almost no replayablity outside of the Rotten Animatronics section, and custom night. Most Fnaf games and by extension fangames have elements of randomness that present a barebones level of replayabilty at the very least this game however is incredibly easy to beat on a second or third run through excluding the above sections. Removing the rotten animatronics office section I could probably beat the game in less than ten mins and to me it removes a lot of the tension present in the first playthrough. Other than that it's a fun and enjoyable experience
Don’t know if you played this before but I recommend porkchops adventure, its made by the person creating fnaf +, it’s a game tease for there project porkchops horror show and I highly recommend it, it’s full of suspense and secrets plus a few endings!
Tyke and Sons Lumber Co is the only fnaf fangame I have beaten which really just says how well made it is. It acts as a sequel to Chipper and Sons and is honestly really really funny during the daytime sections (the parts that play like Chipper and Sons). The night sections are sort of like FNAF 4 with taking place in a house. I love how the daytime foreshadows the animatronics you will face in the nighttime whether it's actually making the animatronics or hearing stories about them. Overall absolutely amazing game.
I always hoped for a fangame that combines both multiple offices and mechanics in the nights, and classic clean graphics that make you feel immersed into the 70s. Cool game!
I love this fangame. It's the only one i went "Goddamn, pause the video, i have to play this myself." And i went untill night 5 when i stopped. Really need to finish it. I love the artstyle and animation. It's really scary
Main Page: Endings The main game has two Endings, and Custom Room has two of its own. The Tragic Ending is achieved simply by playing through the game as normal and completing The Final Test. The 321975 ending is achieved by discovering the hidden codes found in Golden Comet and Sneaky Guy and using them to open the safe found just before entering Storage. The ending of Custom Room can be achieved simply by completing the room, and is awarded whether William Afton manages to escape or not. The second ending is only awarded if the player managed to survive will all animatronics set to max difficulty and if William Afton succeeds in escaping at the end of the night.
I have played over 100 fangames since last October. My personal favorites are Dormitabis, Mary's Arcade, Tyke and Sons Lumer Co, Treasure Island 2020 and FNACEC Rebooted. Some of the well reputed fangames that I DIDN'T like that much were from the Mac Tonight series, Baby's Nightmare Circus and Eddie and the Misfits. Honestly, for me F&FLTR was a 6/10. When I first played most of the nights were too easy.
The best ending cutscene you showed for the custom night is actually the OLD version of that cutscene. It was changed in a big patch for the game and is now COMPLETELY different from what you showed in the video. Just letting you know about this if you didn't already
did you know that in the Final Test you can fend off Suit when he's in your office by clicking on the Return button, whatever the camera you're looking at, he'll come back to CAM1B and you can go on the night, saved my skin too much times
I finished the game 5 Times allready. Its not the Best, but its definetly one of the Best fangames out there. Its great that someone finally shed some light on it again.
I think the game that I think is the best actually released a few hours ago at the time of writing this comment, it's The Glitched Attraction, it has amazing visuals and animating, the puzzles are really smart and rewarding when you complete them, and it has an unbelievable amount of content, with 8 levels, plenty of easter eggs and achievements, I haven't fully completed it yet, so I am super hyped to play the other levels, as I only finished level 1 and 2, which were already present in demos. This is the only game that has made me feel stress and fear in a long time. Although I think this trophy will be taken by Fazbear Tycoon when it releases
Videos like this are really good inspiration for anyone with the tools looking to try their hand at making their own fangame, even if they've had no prior experience using something as elementary as blueprints in Unreal for instance whilst being perfectly capable of making all the assets they need. These examples demonstrate how you don't need extravagant free roaming environments with complex artificial intelligence in the enemies just because you might be using a 3d game engine. You can still follow the formula of the clickteam games but with the added flexibility of working in proper 3d. All you need a simple idea or concept for a gameplay loop for one single level and you're all set to experiment and have fun in your little nightmare sandbox. I thoroughly enjoy watching this stuff whilst working on something.
My personal favorite fangame being DSaF 3 (though it's best to play through the entire game series to get the story completely.) in the final cut of the 3rd game it is very well made imo. I also find that left to rot is amazing, keeps you on your toes a little.
While I'm not one for choosing favorites nor best things (because there will always be something that will overtake the certain thing on top), in my personal opinion, the best FNAF fangame for me is split between 3 choices: 1. Chipper & Sons Lumber Co. 2. Jollibee's (Phase 1) 3. Five Nights at Chuck E. Cheeses (2020 Reboot)
The BEST fan games I've ever played have got to 100% be the One Night at Flumpty's trilogy. So fucking fun, so well balanced, and unusually hilarious. They're really polished too. It's absolutely insane how a joke game like ONaF turned into arguably the best series on the fnaf fan game scene
Really liked this video! After seeing your review of the Jolly series, I was really interested. Just a suggestion, I’d love to see you review the Five Nights at TubbyLand series. You know, since TubbyLand Archives: Act 1 is close to release!
Personally, Final Nights 4 will always be my favorite. It has insane graphics, solid gameplay, and a gripping story (at least in my opinion.) I will however admit that Left to Rot is definitely up there as one of the greats. Good analysis!
a classic that you may have played or heard of, "the joy of creation reborn" and the story mode, this one has its own lore i think, but check the reborn, its like any other free roam fnaf fangame but with 2 objectives that you can choose, survive or collect the objects
Have you covered “Five Nights at Treasure Island”? That game is probably one of my favorite fan games. It’s just so unnerving and the creepy pasta tied to it makes it SOOOO much more.
It's not often a video makes a wuss like me want to play a FNaF fan game, haha. Great work! Looks fun. A game I adore that advertises itself as a FNaF fangame (but that's kind of a stretch imo) is Porkchop's Adventure. HUGELY overlooked, and very well-made.
At 7:41 you said the door doesn't start to close, it does, but it's very subtle and only when the vent is ~half way open will you be able to see it going down
I remember playing Insanity back in the day... Basically a FNaF 2 like horror game with much more grotesque and nightmarish looking animatronics. Scared the crap outta me back in the day
Five nights before Freddy's is my favorite. I love the story, models and mechanics. Its really old but I still like it. The jumpscares make me jump a lot.I think it is the BEST fnaf fan game I have ever played. (This game is before fnaf 1) Fn,ltr, and fh is my favorite but this game is my most favorite.
My favorite fnaf fangame is the joy of creation, it has nice chapters to play, they may be frustrating, however once you get use to them, they are really fun to play.
I played it but I got junpscared by Fred bear and got scared and stopped playing now that I don’t have a computer I can’t play it I’m excited to hear it from you
My innards are literally turning into mush at the sight of the suit waving and spazzing about. That is the most terrifying sight I’ve ever set eyes upon
I personally think Dayshift at Freddy's 3 is the best fnaf fan game (possibly best fnaf game, fanmade or official ever) but this one is also really interesting.
please play one night at flumptys 1 2 and 3,five nights to remember, return to bloody nights, ultra custom night, the return to freddys 4 remake, those nights at joes remastered, baldis basics in nightmares or five nights with plaintrace (the last one is by my friend)
I went and played this game after watching this video. I love the formula, although I felt like it was very easy. I was able to beat the final Suit level in under 60 seconds on my second playthrough even. Even still, I love the approach this game took and the gameplay was simple but enjoyable. Had a lot of fun with the 7/20 Custom night too. Also, the Security animatronics are precious and I adore them. They are trying their best.
If you're looking for fangames to check out, have you heard of JR's? It has a handful of gameplay issues and quirks but visually it's a beautiful game.
This video has reached 100k views. And also Fredbear and Friends: Left to Rot is a really great fnaf fangame. If Scott Cawthon is open to adding for games for the Fazbear Fanverse in the future, this one should be part of it. 11/10
This is my favorite fangame, because the vibe, from the animatronic and stage designs, story, mechanics and minigames it really matches Scott Cawthon's style, specially from the first three games
fun fact about room 3 is when you turn from the door with the wind up toy to the vent you can see the animatronic that jump scares you if you let the toy die... just STARING AT YOU... FOR THE WHOLE NIGHT... i hate this game
An amazing fangame i recommend is "Fredbear's Fright". It's more of a traditional fnaf game but I enjoy every single part of it and night 5 is just something else
i recently played through this game and really enjoyed it but i HATED the final test. It only took me two attempts to complete for the first time but it took me a solid 30 minutes on my second attempt because of how quickly the suit would switch cams or light his eyes back up. idk if it was just bad rng or if i was just doing something wrong but I'm not willing to get the secret ending because i dont want to have to replay that part. I also just dont like the designs of the security animatronics. i really like all the designs until the rotten animatronics, they looked odd imo but the security animatronics were just... out of place and really took me out of the game

Don’t know if you played this before but I recommend porkchops adventure, its made by the person creating fnaf +, it’s a game tease for there project porkchops horror show and I highly recommend it, it’s full of suspense and secrets plus a few endings!
13:58 love how security bonnie just appears like someone was talkin' shit about him
Tyke and Sons Lumber Co is the only fnaf fangame I have beaten which really just says how well made it is.
Those aren’t the design choices we are concerned about Mr Afton. We’re concerned at the fact you gave the bear a friggin chainsaw
I think that, in the Tragic Ending, the animatronic in the camera is actually just a Freddy... the animatronic you end up possessing.
Left to rot has aged rather well.
Just played this for the first time ever last Sunday, got trugh it in 50 minutes not counting custom night and the true ending, loved it so much
I finished the game 5 Times allready.
When I saw the fangames at first I was like "well this isn't from Scotty C so bad" but after seeing Tyke and Sons I was absolutely blown away.
Cleanup Crew has been getting a lot of attention since dawko made a video on it. It looks really good even on it’s beta
Very amazing essay, this dev is really remarkable
YOUR VOICE IS SO CALMING IT SOUNDS SO NICE /POS :D
I honestly keep coming back to this game from time to time and I don’t know why, I really like it tho.
My personal favorite fangame being DSaF 3 (though it's best to play through the entire game series to get the story completely.) in the final cut of the 3rd game it is very well made imo.
I also find that left to rot is amazing, keeps you on your toes a little.
i remember on my old computer, i downloaded this game and was way too scared to get past the first night. good times.
You should totally play the prequel to this. Fredbear’s frights
While I'm not one for choosing favorites nor best things (because there will always be something that will overtake the certain thing on top), in my personal opinion, the best FNAF fangame for me is split between 3 choices:
1. Chipper & Sons Lumber Co.
2. Jollibee's (Phase 1)
Imagine being a security robot and being thwarted by a homeless man and his best friends: car battery, tv remote and newspaper he wiped his ass with.
I recommend playing the treasure island remake by radiance or the return to freddys 2 winter wonderland
Porkchop's adventure is my favorite fangame, the atmosphere, design and story are all amazing. Well what can you expect from phisnom?
Really liked this video! After seeing your review of the Jolly series, I was really interested. Just a suggestion, I’d love to see you review the Five Nights at TubbyLand series. You know, since TubbyLand Archives: Act 1 is close to release!
Honestly this game does deserve this title but whats crazy is how long ago it was made
Personally, Final Nights 4 will always be my favorite.
I really like your more long form fangame stuff very nice and entertaining I can see that you put in lots of work into these videos
Awesome video, cant wait to see the next one!
I think JR’s is one of the best and scariest fnaf fan games of all time
It's not often a video makes a wuss like me want to play a FNaF fan game, haha. Great work! Looks fun.
A game I adore that advertises itself as a FNaF fangame (but that's kind of a stretch imo) is Porkchop's Adventure. HUGELY overlooked, and very well-made.
I wouldn't call it the best but it's one of my most favourite fnaf fan games of all time.
It is amazing.
At 7:41 you said the door doesn't start to close, it does, but it's very subtle and only when the vent is ~half way open will you be able to see it going down
You should review Popgoes if you haven’t already before Evergreen comes out
I remember playing Insanity back in the day... Basically a FNaF 2 like horror game with much more grotesque and nightmarish looking animatronics. Scared the crap outta me back in the day
Yes, finally this game gets some recognition I love this game as well.
Five nights before Freddy's is my favorite. I love the story, models and mechanics. Its really old but I still like it. The jumpscares make me jump a lot.I think it is the BEST fnaf fan game I have ever played.
(This game is before fnaf 1)
Fn,ltr, and fh is my favorite but this game is my most favorite.
My favorite fnaf fangame is the joy of creation, it has nice chapters to play, they may be frustrating, however once you get use to them, they are really fun to play.
the voice acting in this game isn't necessarily the best, but everything else about it is *terrifying*, we love it
BRO THANK YOU SO MUCH, I'VE GOT THIS GAME IN MY MEMORIES AND FORGOT WHAT THE NAME WAS AND I WAS SEARCHING LIKE FOR WEEKS AND OH MY GOD THANK YOU
Every FNAF fan game becomes the best FNAF fan game when FNAF youtubers run out of ideas
thank you ive been telling people for years this was the best one im glad im not the only one
the way 3:27 scared the shit out of me i didnt scream..no..i froze and felt my literal throat choke up ToT
I personally still see no wrong with FAF:LTR best game ever made
This is one of my favourite games, the night 3 gameplay feels so much like a dream that its terrifying.
Awesome video! I will definitely be playing this very soon!
This man has a new favorite fan game every month
I think a fnaf fan game to check out would be either tealerland, fredbears fright or dormitabis
I played it but I got junpscared by Fred bear and got scared and stopped playing now that I don’t have a computer I can’t play it I’m excited to hear it from you
I love how they used scott's style in texturing, small touch.
I just love the way security freddy slides up idk why its just so cute
This looks pretty good, I highly recommend the new Treasure Island though. From what FNAF fan games I’ve played nothing has come close.
If you're looking for fangames to check out, have you heard of JR's? It has a handful of gameplay issues and quirks but visually it's a beautiful game.
"Easy to follow story"??!! I am completely lost!! lmao!
It’s also one of the scariest fnaf fan games
thank God he clarified that the windup toy was a rat. I thought it was one of the fucking nft apes 💀
This video has reached 100k views. And also Fredbear and Friends: Left to Rot is a really great fnaf fangame. If Scott Cawthon is open to adding for games for the Fazbear Fanverse in the future, this one should be part of it. 11/10
This is one of my top favorite fnaf fan games.
I love fnaf fangames they are so creative
i do say this is one of my favorite fnaf fangames every. but TJOC (the joy of creation) will remain my favorite for ever
An amazing fangame i recommend is "Fredbear's Fright". It's more of a traditional fnaf game but I enjoy every single part of it and night 5 is just something else
My favorite fan-game is The Joy of Creation: Story Mode. The difficulty makes it perfect. So hard, yet so rewarding.
yeah, thats also my favorite fnaf fan game
I was playing and forgot how to hide under the desk and exited the game as soon as I saw Fredbear. I'm traumatized but good game.
6 month recommended hour gang rise up
Left to Rot is up there with POPGOES as one of my favorite FNaF fangames of all time
9:33 keeps making me jump even when I replay it over and over. Easily a top 10 jumpscare for me.
When you get to a video early but the comments are trash:
*"I've won. But at what cost?"*
i recently played through this game and really enjoyed it but i HATED the final test.
