I had a cop give me a left lane ticket for moving over from the middle to the left so the truck on the right could move to the middle and not put the other officer that had pulled another truck in danger. So I definitely agree. Don't worry about these road bandits whatsoever.

I would have handed him the green FMCSA regulations book and asked him to show me where in the code book does it state that purchasing food is considered On Duty time. His job isn't to interpret laws as he sees fit, his job is to enforce laws *as they are written.*

Pull over immediately... His safety isnt your problem. Had an officer pull me over, i stopped immediately. He took my license and directed me to a pull off 2 miles up the road. I stayed put. Its illegal to operate a CMV without being in posession of a CDL. Cop immediately lost it. After a brief discussion. He called for backup. His superiour listened to both sides and handed my license back handed me a level 1 inspection ( passed; yeah i had a current license, ) and sent me on my way.

I was in Warsaw NY, I missed my turn on accident, the sign was behind a over hanging tree, so I pulled off to the side when it was safe to do so, so I called for help, police showed up, I explained what happened, right away he was already having a attitude, tried ripping my door open, telling me to shut the hell up when telling him what happened, I had it being recorded, so he wrote me a ticket for failed to follow signs, and backing up? What!? Banking up, he tried lieing saying I was banking up. Never said I had video evidence, so I called my aunt who works in the law firm, her boss has a brother who works in NY, met me on the court date at court, with video evidence, judge looked at the officer, with a disgusted look, and dropped all charges. So I looked at the cop walking out with a smirk on my face, never went to NY again.
and its said that you had to have connections and have multiple people go up several times to get this shit off you. most people cant do this so these wackos can get away with anything they want to,
I learned.....FASTEST way to handle this on the spot (hours of D.O.T. hours availability) is to call that states F.O.T. and ask for a Compliance Officer......and teach these officers how to actually UNDERSTAND how to read the rules.
A compliance officer knows the law, and will correct these officers. Not a chance would I have not called in this situation. Comply with the officer, do as he says, then call.
@@chrisgast think he meant to say D.O.T. you call the states D.O.T office, and ask for a compliance officer, explain the issue, explain your understanding of the law, then explain what you are being told. mind you, regardless of this call.. you are getting a ticket that day (unless a compliance officer happens to be on site, doubtful) However a compliance officer is required to investigate, that investigation can be requested in court and if you are correct will dismiss your ticket. the most important part of this is to understand that arguing with the patrol officer does nothing. argue with the person responsible for representing that ticket in court. thats how you win.
I did that shit one time. Knew I was getting pulled over eventually, as soon as those lights came on I yanked it to shoulder, and nailed the brakes, he flew by me lol. He was mad why did you stop so fast? Aren't we supposed to stop as soon as we can? Haha .
One thing I always hated about being on the road was the constant fear of issues with D.O.T. I was always trying to do everything by the book and be as professional as humanly possible but I always felt like I could loose my paycheck every time I rolled across a scale. All it takes is a guy having a bad day or a chip on his shoulder. Being put out of service for getting food is ridiculous.
He drove 250 miles on personal conveyance that day. I realize that there isn't a limit to number of miles one can go on PC but at the officers discretion he figured the guy was falsifying his log. Gotta fight it in court and the file a DATA Q if not successful.
@@jti2007 I was in a similar situation near a scale by my home. I was questioned and nearly ticketed until the officer finally agreed to look at the green book and the fmcsa responses on my phone. Its really unnerving when they won’t even look at the regulations when you’re literally holding the book.

I had this same experience in SC. DOT pulled me over on a dark road, I drove maybe half a mile to a well lit gas station, the DOT officer thanked me for it, he said he felt safer there than on the side of a dark road.
Gaslighting at its finest. I would happily show up in court with an attorney and file a motion with the judge to sanction him and send him To remediation with a DOT compliance officer. He clearly has zero idea about hours of service.
If there was a flailing corpse of a child being dragged under your truck they would need you to stop immediately. These officers are so brave willing to jump into action on the interstate system every day, facing their fears of speeding automobiles just mere feet from their duty belt. He is just following his order to seize and harass at least 1 trucker per week......😢😅😂
What is going on with these officers? Power hungry? Telling someone to shut up, stop talking is first of rude and escalates the situation more. It borders on violating your security and safety. We truck drivers are not the enemy.

I’ve been pulled over twice, one time the trooper got in behind me and stayed there until we approached a rest area then he turned his lights on, that’s what that officer should have done
The same exact thing happened to me in Missouri when he pulled me over I drove a few miles to exit so we can both be safe at 2 in the morning and he wrote me a warning ticket for not stopping immediately and he told me same exact thing that officers said
This reminds me of one of the times I got stopped in Michigan at the Mackinaw Bridge. I’m from Michigan and I delivered in the U.P and was heading home in the L.P. Coming across the bridge and I seen a state cop sitting on the other side. No big deal, not doing anything illegal so I didn’t really bat an eye at him. Well as I was passing him, he started moving. I was thinking oh boy somebody messed up lol. Well. I guess it was me because a couple miles up the road he came up next to me, backed off and flipped the discos on. I stopped immediately. He asked if I know why he stopped me and I said no. Because I literally had no idea. He tried saying I was following to close to the truck in front of me. (Mackinaw bridge has a law trucks have to maintain 500ft distance). Well I was like 6 maybe even 7 truck lengths behind the truck ahead of me so no way. Told him both my company and personal dashcam say otherwise and we can watch both if needed. He got all hot and pissy and wanted my paperwork. It was in a cabinet above me I couldn’t reach so I asked to unbuckle to get it. He said yes. When he came back to the truck he tried hitting me with a seatbelt violation and said i failed to pull over immediately for him. But no tickets in his hand? And dropped the following to close thing all together? So. I kindly reminded him he literally watched me take my seatbelt off and gave me the permission to do so he’s full of shit and that I yielded immediately to him by turning my signal on to let him know I’m pulling over and that I see him. Had to remind him again of the dashcam and that if we are going to continue to have issues to call a supervisor. Again. Hot and pissy. Goes back to his car. Figured I was getting tickets up the ass. He came back, gave me my stuff back. And all he said was “get out of here”. And walked away. Escorted me back on the road and took off. Wish I had videos of this 😂

I have called places to park before and they said it was ok. So I park, go get food, then come back to sleep and wake up to a tow guy telling me to move it or get towed. So I move across the street because I’d rather break a stupid on duty law then to call my company about a tow situation. This DOT officer needs to be re-educated on the rules of FMCSA Hours of service or be fired for trying to nefariously milk truckers pockets because, either he genuinely doesn’t understand Hours of Service or he thinks the driver doesn’t know and trying to manipulate the system with fraudulent tickets that he thinks the driver won’t fight in court.

This crap is why I’m glad to be done with trucking. All just to make a quota and revenue for the state. Someone needs to educate this officer on Personal Conveyance, then this driver needs to BOTH sue him individually as well as his department for the negligence and lost time/wages. I also wish the Feds would pass a law that forbids them to just come and open your door up, and if it’s locked they go into rage mode immediately because they can’t just come and open your door immediately. This is our home away from home, don’t like it, don’t be a cop. Respect is earned, not given out of fear, or demanded because you wear a badge. Country needs truckers more than it needs cops anyhow. Not a cop hater, because most are good people, but I hate the ones who let that badge get to their head and think they’re god.

exactly, the brother in the video wants to be extra because he's a bounty hunter. that's not cool. and it actually confuses other truck drivers or vehicles seeing it from far away that he may be a cop. Just keep it legal and do whats legal in all states with the chicken lights. Amber and Yellow that's all that's needed. Another silly thing I see sometimes is these guys driving down the road with that bright purple/blue inside the cab. im sure it is over stimulating the eyes and producing glare one then windshield to a certain point.
I drive in the western states only. Mostly Nevada and. California. In 12 years I have been stopped several times. And never had a bad experience. I've even been thanked for proceeding to a safe place to stop. That officer was just an arrogant, ignorant, power hungry idiot. Most realize that we are on the same team. I would take this to Court. Because Meal Time Is Off Duty Time not On Duty Time. Now if you’re Doing Any Work like Pre/Post Trip, Breakdown, Loading and Unloading. That’s On Duty time.
To be honest I'm getting tired of videos like this that have no follow-up. It's like watching the first half of a movie and never getting to see the end. I'm willing to bet that 99% of these people never do anything to the cops involved which is a huge reason it continues to happen. If they started getting sued and/or reported by EVERY person they pulled over, things would change.

Alex!!! When I was at TMC, we had a paper in the permit book that basically stated meals are off duty. Now I see why it was in there, I can't believe that cop is that ignorant. One of the officers at the scale house in Utah told me it was illegal to drive more than 11 hours in a day. To be fair, that was back in 04 , not long after they changed the log book rules.
It is illegal to drive more than 11 hours in a day. I got a warning ticket two weeks ago for being 15 minutes over my 11 hours driving. I got held up in traffic on I40 but it didn't matter. I was in Little Rock, AR.
@@Brett235 It is illegal to drive more than 11 hours without a ten hour break and the half hour break. If you start at midnight and drive for 11 hours and take your breaks, you still have almost 2 hours to drive with in that 24 hour period. I realize you still have to do pre-trip, get fuel etc. Back then , everybody was on paper logs except for Werner. The scale master didn't think it was legal to have more than 11 hours driving on one logbook page.

Purchase of food has never been a violation of hours of service. Some police officers just can't stay out of people's affairs, and clearly have little understanding of commercial hos regulations, but think their badge makes them 'experts'. Sad. Glad I chose army instead of law enforcement in my younger years.

Driving 3 miles after lights are on is not only illegal, but made the cop come at you in the worst way.. you are setting yourself up for an unpleasant experience if you delay your pullover. The cops mind instantly goes to is he destroying evidence? Is he getting a gun ready for me? Ect...
If getting food needs to be log on duty because is related to commerce that means that every single penny you spend is tax deductible because is related to commerce.

In Canada, commercial drivers subject to the hours-of-service regulations are limited to 75 kilometers (47 miles) of PC per day (logged as off-duty) if the vehicle has been unloaded and trailers have been unhitched. In USA There is no personal conveyance limit in the FMCSA regulations. So, you can drive as far as needed as long as you're off duty and operating within the FMCSA guidelines.
And trucks and trailer washouts too . And if you bringing the truck to the shop too… as mega carriers put it that you have to put yourself OnDuty anything related to the work… not Food, but 254 miles offduty I think that’s very suspicious even known on the Book doesn’t saids how long you can do PC for as long you heading home , to a entertainment place or after you dropped your trailer at a drop yard. That’s what a Former DOT officer said on this Show one time.
Had same thing happen to me , cop was going to charge me for not stopping soon enough , within 3 minutes two cars almost collided trying to pass us , he then told me to proceed to the parking lot quarter km. down the road, after all paperwork and inspections done starts back up about not pulling over soon enough . I stated ,no problem next time lights come on for me to pull over , even if in the centre lane on multiple lane highway I will stop immediately in that lane and stay in my truck untill I am directed in writing to move . He changed his tune pretty quickly

You just can't use PC to move a load. You can use it to go shopping, washing your truck, getting it fixed (if you're not hauling a load) they stay trying to restrict drivers for every little thing. Keep that same energy for the reckless four wheelers out there!
I was litteraly busted for the same reason last week. Two violations. I unloaded went off duty, pc to a nearby truck stop, “Food, water and shower”. i was going home and ran out of time so i stopped went to sleep and woke up pc the rest of way (not staying 10 hr when my home is 20 min away for reset. Busted!
Officer said i should went off duty and stayed where i unloaded. Mind you i work in the oil fields pulling crude. I will not stay at the unloading station to take a nap, Gas leak on my sleep will send me to meet jesus.
Actually you can drive any miles on personal convenience because there is no miles statute in book….only if you are using it for personal convenience or for company business….that’s it…..

Little owner operators are not gonna be able to grease the palm of a judge enough to get him/her/it to think that said Driver should not have gotten a rental car or took an Uber, and that’s just the fact. He also said that when you’re on the highway you’re supposed to pull over to the side……… Back when I was 15 years old and learning the rules of the road I remember the highways at least in California you were just supposed to pull over to the right lane and slow down and let the ambulance or firetruck pass in the passing lane May be things have changed I’m not sure but I’ve know. I’ve never pulled over on the highway before I’ve only ever done it on roads.
Later in the video the trooper states that he has driven 250 miles PC. After you stop you can travel for food or entertainment and then return to where you were stopped. They like to see a round trip unless you are going from your terminal to your home. 250 miles to get food might be a little excessive. The trooper was right about an oil change. That would be onduty time. All I can say is that you need to know the PC rules front and back. Still can't figure out why he was wearing his fugitive recovery badge and coat while doing an interview from his truck. I think he said he was in Pennsylvania but does fugitive recovery in Colorado. BTW, a FR badge won't score points with a State trooper.
The problem with PC is so many drivers are abusing it. I personally know drivers that will log out and remove their tablets from the stand and drive 300 miles before logging back in. Some will go on PC and drive hundreds of miles and then log on after their break is up and keep driving.
You can run unlimited on PC for certain reasons... and even if you're abusing it, it's 100% legal. There's like 3 or 4 things. Doesn't matter how far you're driving to get to, even loaded.
yeah that's exactly what he did and got busted ! I tell you what it aint the first or last time he did it. He should be grateful that he got shutdown rather than getting into an accident he'd definitely get sued. he needs to reevaluate his choices and he says he's being driving for 5 years .

I've actually thought about the situation about pulling off somewhere safe before and wondered if it would be fine as long as within mile or so. As for duty statistics I had a trooper tell me before that had to be consecutive 10 hours with no wheel time even if PC

Im expected to know Alaska, Yukon, BC and WA DOT laws as these are the places I drove across. Why isn’t there a uniform law across all states/provinces when the FMCSA is federal?

As a former police officer with friends that are troopers and DOT officers in GA, At first I was on Tony’s side until I saw the video and saw he drove 250 miles on PC. At that distance it’s hard to see what was going on without looking at the logs myself. Now I have more questions than answers lol.. At first I thought he went down the street or was eating while in the driver seat off duty. Didn’t realize homie over here was driving all over the country on PC. 😂

This is why the trucking industry needs a CSA score for Law inforcement like they have for us that way lawinforcement knows that there jobs (livelyhood) is at stake for BS like this if the FMCSA thinks its only good for drivers ending a drivers career it should follow suit for Law enforcement who police the police they will stick together under any circumstances unless they are caught on video and have No choice to disapline that officer and it probably wont affect hes career like it does a driver career keep in mind know one is perfect but these days the government is all about the Benjamin's. Police aren't required to know the laws. They aren't trained as litigators. They are trained to be mobile security. Laws are for the courts. They also have zero responsibility to protect and serve us... Definitely not a perfect system...
The last time I saw a DOT Cop open the door and step up on the steps to talk to the truck driver. The driver told the Cop that since he wasn't making his truck payments every month to get off his truck and talk to him from the ground. The Cop was pissed, but he did what the driver told him to do.

I don't see a paragraph either. I see what looks like sentences in a broken down "List structure". A paragraph consist of several sentences with a two-three space indention at the start of every paragraph.
In Kansas and Nebraska when they turn on the lights and there is no shoulder you stop in the travel lane and turn on your flashers! Do not proceed unless the trooper instructs you to find a safe space! I say this from experience been there done that! These drivers are putting led lighting that will change multiple colors red facing forward and blue clearance markers are illegal while traveling! But yet they come on this channel and try to plead their case!

I had a cop give me a left lane ticket for moving over from the middle to the left so the truck on the right could move to the middle and not put the other officer that had pulled another truck in danger. So I definitely agree. Don't worry about these road bandits whatsoever.

Had an officer pull me over, i stopped immediately. He took my license and directed me to a pull off 2 miles up the road. I stayed put. Its illegal to operate a CMV without being in posession of a CDL. Cop immediately lost it. After a brief discussion. He called for backup. His superiour listened to both sides and handed my license back handed me a level 1 inspection ( passed; yeah i had a current license, ) and sent me on my way.
This is why I would never get into any type of trucking. Dealing with dumb and stupid cops is one of the biggest problem in this country!

I was in Warsaw NY, I missed my turn on accident, the sign was behind a over hanging tree, so I pulled off to the side when it was safe to do so, so I called for help, police showed up, I explained what happened, right away he was already having a attitude, tried ripping my door open, telling me to shut the hell up when telling him what happened, I had it being recorded, so he wrote me a ticket for failed to follow signs, and backing up? What!? Banking up, he tried lieing saying I was banking up. Never said I had video evidence, so I called my aunt who works in the law firm, her boss has a brother who works in NY, met me on the court date at court, with video evidence, judge looked at the officer, with a disgusted look, and dropped all charges. So I looked at the cop walking out with a smirk on my face, never went to NY again.

I learned.....FASTEST way to handle this on the spot (hours of D.O.T. hours availability) is to call that states F.O.T. and ask for a Compliance Officer......and teach these officers how to actually UNDERSTAND how to read the rules.

mind you, regardless of this call.. you are getting a ticket that day (unless a compliance officer happens to be on site, doubtful) However a compliance officer is required to investigate, that investigation can be requested in court and if you are correct will dismiss your ticket.
the most important part of this is to understand that arguing with the patrol officer does nothing. argue with the person responsible for representing that ticket in court.

One thing I always hated about being on the road was the constant fear of issues with D.O.T. I was always trying to do everything by the book and be as professional as humanly possible but I always felt like I could loose my paycheck every time I rolled across a scale. All it takes is a guy having a bad day or a chip on his shoulder.
Being put out of service for getting food is ridiculous.
He drove 250 miles on personal conveyance that day. I realize that there isn't a limit to number of miles one can go on PC but at the officers discretion he figured the guy was falsifying his log. Gotta fight it in court and the file a DATA Q if not successful.
@@jti2007 I was in a similar situation near a scale by my home. I was questioned and nearly ticketed until the officer finally agreed to look at the green book and the fmcsa responses on my phone. Its really unnerving when they won’t even look at the regulations when you’re literally holding the book.

I had this same experience in SC. DOT pulled me over on a dark road, I drove maybe half a mile to a well lit gas station, the DOT officer thanked me for it, he said he felt safer there than on the side of a dark road.

The same exact thing happened to me in Missouri when he pulled me over I drove a few miles to exit so we can both be safe at 2 in the morning and he wrote me a warning ticket for not stopping immediately and he told me same exact thing that officers said
This reminds me of one of the times I got stopped in Michigan at the Mackinaw Bridge. I’m from Michigan and I delivered in the U.P and was heading home in the L.P. Coming across the bridge and I seen a state cop sitting on the other side. No big deal, not doing anything illegal so I didn’t really bat an eye at him. Well as I was passing him, he started moving. I was thinking oh boy somebody messed up lol. Well. I guess it was me because a couple miles up the road he came up next to me, backed off and flipped the discos on. I stopped immediately. He asked if I know why he stopped me and I said no. Because I literally had no idea. He tried saying I was following to close to the truck in front of me. (Mackinaw bridge has a law trucks have to maintain 500ft distance). Well I was like 6 maybe even 7 truck lengths behind the truck ahead of me so no way. Told him both my company and personal dashcam say otherwise and we can watch both if needed. He got all hot and pissy and wanted my paperwork. It was in a cabinet above me I couldn’t reach so I asked to unbuckle to get it. He said yes. When he came back to the truck he tried hitting me with a seatbelt violation and said i failed to pull over immediately for him. But no tickets in his hand? And dropped the following to close thing all together? So. I kindly reminded him he literally watched me take my seatbelt off and gave me the permission to do so he’s full of shit and that I yielded immediately to him by turning my signal on to let him know I’m pulling over and that I see him. Had to remind him again of the dashcam and that if we are going to continue to have issues to call a supervisor. Again. Hot and pissy. Goes back to his car. Figured I was getting tickets up the ass. He came back, gave me my stuff back. And all he said was “get out of here”. And walked away. Escorted me back on the road and took off. Wish I had videos of this 😂
I was told by an Arizona DOT officer you can use your convenience hours to get food as long as you return back to where you were sleeping your 10 hr
Technically, you cannot use them to return back…since you will be on your way to work, and that’s not covered under PC

I have called places to park before and they said it was ok. So I park, go get food, then come back to sleep and wake up to a tow guy telling me to move it or get towed. So I move across the street because I’d rather break a stupid on duty law then to call my company about a tow situation. Why are these laws placed to where drivers can’t even live a life after their shift sometimes??

Someone needs to educate this officer on Personal Conveyance, then this driver needs to BOTH sue him individually as well as his department for the negligence and lost time/wages. I also wish the Feds would pass a law that forbids them to just come and open your door up, and if it’s locked they go into rage mode immediately because they can’t just come and open your door immediately. I drive in the western states only. Mostly Nevada and. California. In 12 years I have been stopped several times. And never had a bad experience. I've even been thanked for proceeding to a safe place to stop. That officer was just an arrogant, ignorant, power hungry idiot. Most realize that we are on the same team. To be honest I'm getting tired of videos like this that have no follow-up. It's like watching the first half of a movie and never getting to see the end. Alex!!! When I was at TMC, we had a paper in the permit book that basically stated meals are off duty. Now I see why it was in there, I can't believe that cop is that ignorant.
One of the officers at the scale house in Utah told me it was illegal to drive more than 11 hours in a day. To be fair, that was back in 04 , not long after they changed the log book rules.
It is illegal to drive more than 11 hours in a day. I got a warning ticket two weeks ago for being 15 minutes over my 11 hours driving. I got held up in traffic on I40 but it didn't matter. I was in Little Rock, AR.

If you start at midnight and drive for 11 hours and take your breaks, you still have almost 2 hours to drive with in that 24 hour period. I realize you still have to do pre-trip, get fuel etc. Back then , everybody was on paper logs except for Werner. The scale master didn't think it was legal to have more than 11 hours driving on one logbook page.

Some police officers just can't stay out of people's affairs, and clearly have little understanding of commercial hos regulations, but think their badge makes them 'experts'. Sad. Glad I chose army instead of law enforcement in my younger years.

If getting food needs to be log on duty because is related to commerce that means that every single penny you spend is tax deductible because is related to commerce.

In Canada, commercial drivers subject to the hours-of-service regulations are limited to 75 kilometers (47 miles) of PC per day (logged as off-duty) if the vehicle has been unloaded and trailers have been unhitched.
In USA There is no personal conveyance limit in the FMCSA regulations. So, you can drive as far as needed as long as you're off duty and operating within the FMCSA guidelines.
Pre trip, post trip, DOT Inspection and Fueling .... that is all of my on duty time.
Better add 10 min when u arrive at shipper or final consignee. Only have to show the time it takes to check in.

By the FMCSA green book you only have to be on duty for pre or post trip inspection. Not both. But most companies require both.
Had same thing happen to me , cop was going to charge me for not stopping soon enough , within 3 minutes two cars almost collided trying to pass us , he then told me to proceed to the parking lot quarter km. down the road, after all paperwork and inspections done starts back up about not pulling over soon enough . I stated ,no problem next time lights come on for me to pull over , even if in the centre lane on multiple lane highway I will stop immediately in that lane and stay in my truck untill I am directed in writing to move . He changed his tune pretty quickly

You just can't use PC to move a load. You can use it to go shopping, washing your truck, getting it fixed (if you're not hauling a load) they stay trying to restrict drivers for every little thing. Keep that same energy for the reckless four wheelers out there!
I was litteraly busted for the same reason last week.
Two violations. I unloaded went off duty, pc to a nearby truck stop, “Food, water and shower”.
i was going home and ran out of time so i stopped went to sleep and woke up pc the rest of way (not staying 10 hr when my home is 20 min away for reset.
Busted!
Officer said i should went off duty and stayed where i unloaded. Mind you i work in the oil fields pulling crude. I will not stay at the unloading station to take a nap, Gas leak on my sleep will send me to meet jesus.
Am I on duty when I get a shower? NO!

Little owner operators are not gonna be able to grease the palm of a judge enough to get him/her/it to think that said Driver should not have gotten a rental car or took an Uber, and that’s just the fact. Gray areas are only there to benefit those with enough money to capitalize on it… Emphasis on the word capital.

Food isnt for the truck. Getting food isn't an on-duty scenario, if it was then we would never be able to complete a 34hr reset.

He also said that when you’re on the highway you’re supposed to pull over to the side……… Back when I was 15 years old and learning the rules of the road I remember the highways at least in California you were just supposed to pull over to the right lane and slow down and let the ambulance or firetruck pass in the passing lane May be things have changed I’m not sure but I’ve know. I’ve never pulled over on the highway before I’ve only ever done it on roads.

Later in the video the trooper states that he has driven 250 miles PC. After you stop you can travel for food or entertainment and then return to where you were stopped. They like to see a round trip unless you are going from your terminal to your home. 250 miles to get food might be a little excessive. The trooper was right about an oil change. That would be onduty time. All I can say is that you need to know the PC rules front and back. Still can't figure out why he was wearing his fugitive recovery badge and coat while doing an interview from his truck. I think he said he was in Pennsylvania but does fugitive recovery in Colorado. BTW, a FR badge won't score points with a State trooper.

The problem with PC is so many drivers are abusing it. I personally know drivers that will log out and remove their tablets from the stand and drive 300 miles before logging back in. Some will go on PC and drive hundreds of miles and then log on after their break is up and keep driving.
You can run unlimited on PC for certain reasons... and even if you're abusing it, it's 100% legal. There's like 3 or 4 things. Doesn't matter how far you're driving to get to, even loaded.

yeah that's exactly what he did and got busted ! I tell you what it aint the first or last time he did it. He should be grateful that he got shutdown rather than getting into an accident he'd definitely get sued. he needs to reevaluate his choices and he says he's being driving for 5 years .

I've actually thought about the situation about pulling off somewhere safe before and wondered if it would be fine as long as within mile or so. As for duty statistics I had a trooper tell me before that had to be consecutive 10 hours with no wheel time even if PC
They did that to me in Oregon for not pulling over immediately but the shoulder was soft and I was fully loaded with paper

As a former police officer with friends that are troopers and DOT officers in GA, At first I was on Tony’s side until I saw the video and saw he drove 250 miles on PC. At that distance it’s hard to see what was going on without looking at the logs myself. Now I have more questions than answers lol.. At first I thought he went down the street or was eating while in the driver seat off duty. Didn’t realize homie over here was driving all over the country on PC. 😂

Lol.. that’s why many of these maga carriers have the logs really locked into the engine that even if you were logged out of the tablet the log still picked up the drive time. And as soon as you logged in, BOOM it’s there 😂 that happened to me when I dropped the truck off at the shop one day.

This is why the trucking industry needs a CSA score for Law inforcement like they have for us that way lawinforcement knows that there jobs (livelyhood) is at stake for BS like this if the FMCSA thinks its only good for drivers ending a drivers career it should follow suit for Law enforcement who police the police they will stick together under any circumstances unless they are caught on video and have No choice to disapline that officer and it probably wont affect hes career like it does a driver career keep in mind know one is perfect but these days the government is all about the Benjamin's. Police aren't required to know the laws. They aren't trained as litigators. They are trained to be mobile security. Laws are for the courts. They also have zero responsibility to protect and serve us...

The last time I saw a DOT Cop open the door and step up on the steps to talk to the truck driver. The driver told the Cop that since he wasn't making his truck payments every month to get off his truck and talk to him from the ground. The Cop was pissed, but he did what the driver told him to do.

In Kansas and Nebraska when they turn on the lights and there is no shoulder you stop in the travel lane and turn on your flashers! Do not proceed unless the trooper instructs you to find a safe space! I say this from experience been there done that! These drivers are putting led lighting that will change multiple colors red facing forward and blue clearance markers are illegal while traveling! But yet they come on this channel and try to plead their case!
Sounds like Kansas DOT had a bad day, and was taking it out on Tony. I personally have a good rep with them.
