Nothing worse than in withdrawal waiting around for your source to come through. Whether it's the plug texting you back, or the pharmacy putting some pills in a bottle, it's like life can't move on until you get your fix. Time becomes molasses. Glad I don't have to live that way anymore.
This was a kind comment (dont see too many these days, all jokes aside. Many feel and relate to these individuals pain... Some do not live long. Certain medications have their place but this may not be one of them and Pregabalin can be highly addictive or in medical terms 'dependent'. Therefore, I feel it should be prescribed on a more short term basis (if plausible). With efficient rehabilitation and combination of certain meds, their can be good outcomes. Medication is not a 'fix all' and never will be. People want a 'quick fix' or immediate solution to problems that can not be realistically addressed in such a manner. Many people are not informed of the long term effects of these meds and the horror of withdrawal (some who taper too fast and some whi taper as directed). PLEASE, do your research and believe in your ability to do the best you can do, in any 'way shape or form'... I wish these people the best. I see some broken faces and hearts that could have alot of potential. All the best in their futures, may they be bright and prosperous...
@@serious-cyrusnoelan8127 amen to that. I am prescribed it and had no idea just how much of a buzz I would get, even taking it in the dosage prescribed. I think both a lot of doctors and a lotta patients don't realise that because it works on GABA its potential for dependence / misuse and also withdrawal symptoms are very similar to that of the much more infamous benzos. All the best to these people. Treating anxiety safely is really hard to do long term without some form of dependence.
This comment section is so toxic. The man clearly wants help and is taking the right steps towards being clean. He knows his mistakes and has already made improvement by not snorting the Lyrica anymore. How about stop being so negative towards him and actually be supportive of his efforts. I hope he reaches his goal for a blank sheet.
Relicords in a few years pregabalin won't be patented anymore just as gabapentin isn't. So, this argument is bunk. Cannabis has very little actual real medicinal benefits beyond m/s pain and increasing appetite that outstrip traditional medicines that are available cheaply as generics. The sheer fact that thc or cbd would be impossible to trademark is not what is keeping it illegal.
What are you talking about? Cannabis has far more medical applications than 'm/s pain and increasing appetite'. It can treat: nausea (from chemo, lupus, hep c etc...) seizures, pain, anxiety, night terrors (esp for ptsd) sleep disorders, motor symptoms (parkinsons, tourettes etc..),ibs and chrons, alcoholism, opiate addictions ad etc...

Anthony Sarandrea You’re talking out of experience? Because i know for a fact heroin or opioids in general (special methadon) are pure hell in there withdrawals.
Anthony Sarandrea 60mg is considered in Switzerland a normal daily Dosis. 150mg a day is quite high. I know someone who got a daily dosis of 1200mg for around 4 months. Now that’s high mate 😳😊🤷♂️.
The worst accents I ever heard was in a scheme full of the poor in Scotland. Even the Scots watching the video were demanding subtitles because those people were totally unintelligible.
I started taking it for my severe anxiety years ago. I take 300mg a day and can't sleep and suffer bad panic attacks without it. It's addictive for me because, before it, I was a danger to myself. With it, I can somewhat function like a normal person. I have NEVER taken Pregab from the street. The most I have ever taken at one time was 450mg. This only happens when my anxiety and panic attacks are extreme and 300 doesn't work and I usually sleep for two solid days after. And no, I would never consider quitting at this point in my life because when I wake up, I no longer want to die.
Pregabalin is neurotoxic, it's been proven time and time again. Hearing and sight loss is very common for pregabalin users so bare that in mind. Suicide rates for pregabalin are 4 times higher than regular people. Pregabalin is not designed for daily use, it is a very powerful drug and when used daily will destroy you
@@josephdugdale4150 Actually drugs like Pregabalin and Gabapentin are designed for daily use. You cannot just pick and choose to use them on and off, or you will suffer withdrawals and will suffer kindling if you've kicked them before. Not quite sure where you got your info from there. Plus hearing and sight loss are not known amongst pregabalin users any more than any other drug. Making this shit up doesn't help anyone. If you wanted to dissuade people from using it, you would mention the mental side effects such as the tendency for users of it to forget words. Plus the HORIFFIC withdrawals you get when you stop taking it, which is what the chap in the first 10 minutes was going through until he tooted his dose. I came off gabapentin, a moderately medium-low dose, and the withdrawals from that were horrible. I don't want to imagine what kicking pregabs would be like. Plus my gabapentin withdrawals lasted a month. (I was a lot better by day 5 but I still withdrawals for a month... I couldn't touch caffeine for 2 months without each can of cola feeling like a massive caffeine overdose. A month afterwards I took 1 300mg gabapentin to try to sleep... and the next few days I had terrible withdrawals all over again)
@@mikesully110 Omg!! Forgetting words is a side effect of Pregab? I always forget words, even simple words, and often get lost in the middle of sentences. That makes so much sense! Thanks for that info (I know some side effects but not all, I don't read the side effects on box). As for withdrawl, I'm already terrified of that when I quit in the future (if I do). I can't go a day without it without suffering. It's extremely rare that I ever miss a dose though, I need it too much.
Its strange I seem to understand most accents maybe its because my family tends to marry people from different cultures so was brought up with all sorts of different accents. Sounds like music to me I love the way people can say the same word and all sound so different.
If some of these YT commentators knew the life stories behind people who self-medicate, they wouldn't be so quick to judge. Drug misuse is almost always rooted in traumatic life experiences and until the trauma is healed/processed the substance use will continue. It's a biological illness in the brain of affected individuals.
Mason | Some people develop PTSD following traumatic events, others don't. Scientists aren't sure why that is yet but it's thought that genetics/brain anatomy and peer support/family networks play a role. It's never sufficient to say "Just because I..." in scientific debates because a case study of 1 individual means nothing when discussing an issue that affects millions of people.
Mason | Indeed. It makes sense that if someone has a strong support network they are more able to process trauma healthily. Some people have the cards stacked against them in life and don't develop healthy coping strategies. It's good that you haven't gone down that path. Hopefully when people understand the reasons for behaviour shown in this documentary they will be less likely to fall into that trap and also reserve judgement on those that do.
non addicts are also addicts, they are addicts to negative states of being hence why they are not free. most people are addicts in some way or another.
Wait for real?? I first came across this doc years ago and I frequently check in every once in a while and rewatch it. I first watched it while I was in a bad spot. Id really love to know if you are being for real about kenneth.
Uh. I'm on Lyrica and I have been for years... for lessening whole body chronic nerve pain. When I forgot to refill it once, I realized how MUCH it covered the pain of Fibromyalgia because the surface of my skin felt like it had been burned, was actively being set afire everywhere skin touched anything. But I have also been on opioids so I don't understand the Lyrica craving but anyone can be addicted to anything that goes into the body or creates a chemical change in the body. So I hope folks learn empathy for addiction disease issues and mental health issues.
That guy was wrong about snorting it. Lyrica has more bio-availability when taken orally and there is no rush when you snort it. There may be a psychological event going on after snorting it, or placebo effect, but technically speaking it's better to just take it orally because you actually get less of the drug nasally and it's less effective on top of that.
especially seeing as most of it seemed to be getting trapped halfway up his nose by the time he was talking to the counsellor, I can't see how it would be more effective than getting 100% straight into your stomach. But all the euphoric recall - the taste of the empty capsule, the feel and smell of the powder - must contribute to it being a better experience for him.
Chris Thomson yes it is. Just absorbed differently. It's as easy aas Google. They are the same exact thing used for the same exact things. www.pharmacytimes.com/contributor/jeffrey-fudin/2015/09/how-gabapentin-differs-from-pregabalin There's the differences.
I broke my neck in 2013, and take pregabalin to calm nerve pain in my fingers. I don't feel any "high" from it, So it had never crossed my mind that people were addicted to the stuff! Madness. Hope these lads get clean!
+WhispersparklesASMR How can Pregabalin "feels like" ecstasy when one is a medication to treat nerve pain and the other is a drug to make you feel euphoria? They are entirely opposed to each other in terms of what they achieve.
Lyrica can be hard to come off it you've been taking it for a while, and everyone reacts differently. I've taken it as prescribed for years (fibromyalgia), and now each time I lower my dose my central nervous system has a hissy fit and makes me pretty ill. I feel that guys pain. Hugs from Australia x
It's really sad seeing so many comments from ppl who are prescribed lyrica and don't know or weren't told that it's addictive. A buddy of mine was prescribed it and he got horrible withdrawal from only a few weeks of use. The withdrawal gave him hearing damage and really bad permanent tinnitus.
I've taken pregabalin for anxiety for a number of years. When I went into psychiatric hospital an inexperienced psychiatrist cut my dose from 600mg to nothing over one week. The withdrawals I experienced were the way this guys withdrawals are. I had to go straight back up to 450mg after three weeks off it because of how ill I was physically, and anger, irritability and agitation are huge parts of withdrawal, even if I'm just a few hours late for a dose. Its just been re classified to a controlled substance because it's abused so much now and so dangerous. Some of these guys clearly have anxiety and if they only had a regular, smaller dose they would be ok. It's the irregularity of it that makes them unwell. I really feel for them.
Agreed. I have borderline personality disorder and insomnia, and my doc cut my insomnia meds down like over night (zolpidem and alimemazine) even tho the pill itself doesn't make me sick my insomnia does, sometimes I haven't been able to sleep cause I have taken the meds to often so I ran out before hand like this dude and it literally makes you wanna kill yourself. I have a problem with alcohol, I have NEVER had a problem with my pills. Sometimes it feels like we patients know fkn more than our so-called doctors. I get prescribed 1 alimemazine/night and 3 zolpidem a week and I can honestly say, I use the alcohol for when I don't have my meds and it sucks ass. But im afraid If I ask for more he will think im a junkie so i just agreed on that dose lol.
Aye, wondered why many Surgeries have a notice stating they won't even prescribe it now! Was on it for nerve damage, but abused it + was on other Drugs. It was a miracle reducing Heroin withdrawal's & live in a 'Brown Town' where suddenly became even more popular. About 7 yrs ago so that must've been a factor becoming a 'Controlled Drug' etc.👍
Expensive? Tzz... Here in Germanay, in the Area where I live, you can get 300 mg for 50 € cents. I've you buy more than one Blister, you can get a discount. But fuck it, because every Psychiatrist or Neurologist throw's them at you. Then, you have to pay 5 Bucks at the Pharmacy for 300 mg 5 Blister's.
Oxycontin is your Lyrica in the US. And Lyrica is advertised in the US for a variety of ailments with a major warning about abuse and addiction. Regardless, the Big Pharma doesn't give a rat's ass in hell about you, me or anybody. They care only about profits and control.
I hate it, too. Dunno why so many fella's get caught on that STuff. I mean, good Benzo's or something. Yeah, that's the Ticket. Oxycodon has nothing to do with Lyrica. It's an Opiod and much stronger
It's a fantastic drug when used as prescribed. I truly wasn't aware that it could be abused like this. I had a stroke at 35and have severe nerve damage as a result ,I've been on 150mg of lyrica every day for the past 10years. I couldn't live without it but can say if I missed a dose the side effects are severe. I hope that lad does well and gets of it. Best wishes from Dublin x
At one time I was taking 5x400mg Gabaran every day for my back pain, and then when I finished them I just stopped. Not even one side effect. Of course, I wasn't snorting them and taking them with Valium or other shit like that. It's not the medications fault, if they wouldn't have any drugs they would be drunk off their asses every day. They need good jobs and hope and they'll stop doing drugs.
Olivia Hayes I take it for nerve pain too and get zero high from it. I can't imagine what kind of high they're having or why you would take Lyrica for fun...
You are a rare case. I have been on it for about two years and the side effects started to be crippling after about a year. Seizures, insomnia, panic attacks, increased anxiety, depersonalization, hopeless depression, all of which i've never had before taking the drug. They get worse when i try to stop it. I'm on a slow taper now and I can manage my life ok but i'm not myself and I don't feel joy or excitement like I used to. The highest dose I was on was 150 mg a day and i always take it as prescribed
Deflated Hypnotist high doses of lyrica can be very recreational, especially if you have anxiety problems. All these guys are looking for relief and that nice feeling of normality becomes addictive
Deflated Hypnotist me too. I'm on the highest dose of Lyrica & have been for many years... I couldn't do without it, but that's only because I need it for my pain. Don't get any high from it whatsoever. I could understand people abusing opiates, but this confuses me.
That's a heavy duty list of meds. Good luck getting out of that hell hole. Benzodiazepines antisychotics hypnotic z drugs and anti depressant off label sleeper mirtazipine equals brain 🧠 meltdown..each one is hell to come off..
Jeez, they can have my old gabapentin and Lyrica. I have chronic nerve-induced back pain and gabapentin makes you stupid and unable to string two sentences together and Lyrica is a slightly more refined, and more obscenely priced version that offers only slight relief over gabapentin along with the same boatload of side effects. I stopped both of them. I don't recall either drug being prescribed for anxiety in the U.S., but I guess the fact it induces somnolence in a lot of people explains this. I recall a similar documentary about tramadol abuse among the youth of the UK. I've been on that drug as well, and it worked as well as Pez Candy in pain control for me. When a medication's side effects are worse than its benefits, I stop taking it. What is also mysterious is that I've never had cravings for any of these drugs. All the time I was on them I wanted to be off them. Those of us in chronic pain seem not to have much interest in recreational use of medication in general.
I agree completely.. I’m oxy for pain and I don’t understand why anyone would want to take this shit recreationally!! It’s a shame.. I miss being a kid when I was healthy
Chris Thomson I am glad you avoided the side effects. I realize the best thing I shoild be doing now is weight loss. Too bad there isnt a good drug for that.
It’s weird I’m form Missouri, USA we can read each others written word no problem, but would struggle to sit in each other’s living rooms and enjoy a conversation
I wish all the people struggling with addiction the best of luck in getting well. People don't understand the power of these drugs and the effect it has on people. I've lost my brother recently to hard drugs and I miss him.btrued my hardest to help him, had him living at my house and everything. But he just up and left one day. I miss you Dave
Pregabalin was found in my daughter when she took an overdose. The drug was actually working then the doctor decided to lower her dose. So she took her life. She left a note for the psychiatrist. and I made sure she read it. May you rest in peace Dan.
im so sorry. This drug can cause or worsen mental illness, especially when withdrawals kick in. It takes away people's normal judgement and makes them do things they never normally would. I hope she's found peace now& wish you the best💌
I hope this kid gets the help he needs as a recovering addict, I understand how hard it is but it can be done there is light at the end of the tunnel. Good luck to the people in this video. I am in America and visited Belfast and it's a great place.
Unfortunately I know exactly how he feels. I'm on day 60 without suboxone. The physical hell is over thank God, now it's mental. Damn near impossible to resist cravings. I don't know what I'm craving, nothing. Everything. This has been one of the hardest things over ever done!! I hope he can get out of it.
I'm right there with u girl. Day 35 from 20 mg a day. This is the only detox that has almost broke me but I'm so done with the apathy in a bottle. Good luck 2 U
Pregabs are worse than Heroin the withdrawal symptoms are far more difficult to deal with, I was on them for 7years due to Pancreatitis. Now I'm off them and I thank GOD for helping Me So people that are addicted to them I fully understand you just adding this in Methadone is the worst one if you've been on it for years.
@Brooke L. Pregablin is a gaba receptor agonist so the withdrawal is worse by definition. Gabaergic substances like alcohol, benzodiazepines, pregablin, and ghb have withdrawals that can cause severe seizures and even death. Opiate withdrawal is painful and agonizing, especially ones with a long half life like methadone, but they can't kill you.
I have been on pregabalin for anxiety for about 6 months. I’m on 150mg split up into two doses a day. I had no idea it was addictive or people had such reactions to it. I barley notice I’m on it, and sometimes wonder if it’s doing anything. The only way I can tell is that my anxiety is slightly less intense and I have panic attacks less frequently, but I’m still anxious all the time, and definitely don’t feel euphoria from it. I know it’s a low dose so it’s a little different but ngl it freaks me out that I’m on it after watching this
150 mg split up into two doses a day? Yeah no shit that's not gonna do anything, take 600mgs and smoke weed it feels like a super strength kava and it's Stimulating yet relaxing. Pretty shitty recreational drug all in all though, GHB and alcohol are probably the most recreational gaba agonists out there, benzos just either get rid of my anxiety when I take enough and when I take too much total blackout. Things like phenibut and gabapentin (similar to Lyrica) just make me feel normal unless I take a super high dose than it kinda feels like GHB
I've been on it for 2 years at 300mg per day and I can miss a day without noticing much to be honest. Withdrawals really begin to manifest after a few days. I'm not sure what this lad on here is on about to be honest, he's acting like he's late for a fix of smack. It is addictive but it's nothing like he's making it out to be.
gee did you see all the meds he had on his sheet??...seroquil/quetapine zolpiderm ect ect are all very heavy drugs by themselves let alone together...what a bag head
THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYING!! That sheet at the end made this whole documentary seem pretty redundant in a way...In the US Ambien is schedule 4, same as Xanax and Valium...whereas, Lyrica is Schedule 5...and not too awful long ago did the "Schedule 5 tier" even exist. Literally there's just Lyrica and it's friend Gabapentin/Neurontin that literally just got emergency scheduled on the list coming in at Schedule 5; drugs possessing the least potential for recreational abilities. I'd much rather take the Ambien...they're for sleep, but they help my anxiety and don't make me as tired as Xanax.
One thing I like about lyrica is I seem to get an afterglow effect even from just 50-75mg, always woke up the next day feeling good instead of restless. Gabapentin sucks compared to it and just makes me feel like trash. Always used it sparingly though
Yes! Totally agree. You get a good glow the next day. My partner gets them. The pregabalin are the best. Gabapentin are crap compared to the pregabalin. I'm in Aberdeen, Scotland and people go crazy for them. Even buying fakes that someone gets from the net
@@yoyoholck come off it 😂 he must’ve been prone to seizures anyway. A couple pregabs won’t leave anybody suddenly having seizures for the rest of their days. It’s heavily abused - cause it makes you forget problems/ feel intoxicated- but a lot of people who don’t look to misuse medication take it and live just fine.
@@yoyoholck no way has a doctor told your friend that a couple of pregabs has left him prone to seizures for life. They’d be struck off for stupidity. 🤣 I seriously doubt pregabs could even cause a seizure - it’s not crack ffs.
I was put on lyrica for nerve pain, I did not get Any feeling from it! Took it for 2 weeks then took a full pack And half of pack to the chemist to get destroyed. I had no idea it was addictive!🤔
Yeah well, I actually stopped taking them together...the Lyrica and the VALIUM! I stopped taking them cold turkey, just recently! When in reality, they have to wean you off them! And some i heard just had stopped cold turkey like myself!! Many of them! Ugh, and that would suck...:/ ugh... It does suck! I obviously know the feeling all too well..from them taking me off cold turkey is HORRIBLE!!!
Leah Davis Wow, they are both a very bad rattle, Valium the worst I've ever had and I've done methadone and heroin rattles, Valium was by far the worst, almost unbearable so your doing really well. You ever wanna sell them vallies if you ain't taking, let me know first!!!!
I had no idea anyone could get physically dependent on Lyrica until about a year ago when my younger sister got violently ill when she ran out. She thought she had the flu and then ended up in the ER with chest pains, in addition to other symptoms. It happened when she changed doctors and there was a gap in between running out and seeing new doctor. She only thought she'd have to deal with a few days of pain, but she was violently ill. It was her new doctor that informed her she can never just stop taking it cold turkey. That's crazy withdrawal for something that doesn't even have euphoric effects!!! 😳
Pregabalin is like a benzo with MDMA at big doses I'll take 1000mg at once and be buzzing all day long. Take that with suboxone, baclofen, and Lunesta and seroquel to sleep at night
Pregabalin can definitely be euphoric. In "larger" doses it has strong psychoactive effects. It's sort of a drunken trippy feeling and kind of relaxing like a benzo, but in its own way. Also yeah a lot of people were put on lyrica not knowing how bad the physical dependence can be, pharma company tried to play it off as not very addictive.
All these are for Bipolar or mental health conditions, I've been on them all and they dont knock you out once you've built up a tolerance unfortunately! it's a vicious cycle. I'm clean off all physchiatric meds now 😁
i take seroquel for insomnia and literally 1 or 2 of the tiny pink 25mg pills knock me out sometimes for a day or two longer than i want to be sleeping stuffs strong as fuk
I used to take pregabalin for neuralgia and I hated it. It made me feel drunk and foggy. I couldn’t do my job properly I was judged a lot by people who didn’t know my situation as they genuinely thought I was hammered at work. It also horrendous when I came off it. The withdrawal was awful but I’m so glad I don’t have to take it anymore.
Aye, that's exactly the way felt! Those who say they don't get a buzz/don't feel Drunk etc must be addicted to 'em. Seriously it's ridiculous making out they don't & they're a regular requirement for plenty of Addicts around here. LETHAL
@nickycotton6137 it is bullshit, clearly never taken them due to chronic pain. The rush you're talking about is probably just "normal" yeah not strung out with anxiety
laser325: Yes even if he does get clean people will still look down upon him, employers who know his history wont hire, or maybe he isnt able to work at all. I know because i used to be like him, except with illegal drugs. Been clean 4 years now, but my life is basically the same just without drugs. If he moves somewhere else, isnt too damaged by the abuse he could do it i think.
Sadly the Mirtazepine and Seroquel he is on are prescribed for psychotic episodes, schizophrenia or bipolar in most cases, so if he can get off of those there is absolutely no guarantee that his life will improve. It could in fact get much worse as symptoms of his mental illness return. He should just try to lower his Pregabalin dose and take it as prescribed. He probably has some pretty serious mental health disorders, as do a lot of us addicts.
So I'm from the us. I know the uvf and the ira. Can you give a condensed version of the decades of fighting? Just power struggle? I know its probably difficult to do feel free to tell me to piss off
These people are already addicts before using Lyrica. I am using Lyrica for nerve pain and when I miss a capsule I don't get these withdrawal effects, I just feel the pain in my legs.
Just like with everything it's dose dependent. You can maintain chronic pain treatment with opiates and never get high but all you need to do is take more and you can begin the addiction process. It's a simple concept that people seem to be so clueless about.
I was on it for nerve pain also but got no relief even using 500mg it just dulled my senses and I weaned myself off over a period of 3 weeks, it was horrible, I got very down and felt so alone and lost my head was messed up.,,, taking any drug like this over a prolonged period will mean you get addicted, you just don't feel it because you are still on it, I took my prescribed dose never abused it but still had withdrawls, missing one pill won't send u into withdrawls missing a day or a few days you will soon see how your body and mind react in shock to missing this devil drug, not all addicts are pale skinny Belfast hoods sniffing this stuff; and someone mentioned opioids for pain relief on the comments, the most common prob being codeine, co codalmol, yiu take that prescribed for over three days then stop u will get withdrawls
Thats because u take 1 capsule. For some dumb ass idiot who take 600-1000+ MG daily for over months and months, mby even year. YOU are gonna get withdrawl, if you are not. well then, then you are very unique.
Robert M. Dunn oh you can experience BOTH withdrawal and tolerance within the 600mg a day max Lyrica dose...ive had it as have many people I know of...its particularly hard on older people.
I heard he's good and well off now is that the truth??? I've been dying t get a real update on the dude I'm all the way across the pond and know the struggle with smack
@@javierross7441 I was (mostly) joking, a bit of gallows humour maybe. I'm on enough other stuff that I didn't even realise pregabalin had any non-label 'power' until I'd been taking it for about four years.
Ms. Take it doesn’t and won’t on you now after 4 years you can only get a mild buzz the first few times you use, people saying it’s strong or anything like opioids have never done anything stronger than English (shit weed, really shit in fact)!!!!
@@imreallydead.23 Ahh, that makes sense. I am pretty immune and I have been on stronger doses. Kicking prescription opioids is so so so much harder, and the rare time I've taken an overdose of pregab as a form of self-harm, it was horrible, with hallucinations and palpitations, so I can't see the 'fun' in taking it.
The surprising thing, here as well as with Valium, is that these substances don’t even give a proper high. No euphoria, just a deep sense of relaxation and numbness, sometimes excessive, to the point of not being able to do anything, demotivation, even depression. Informs how people need to escape their anxious yet probably boring life.
@@jennyneedsmeds must be my biased references of euphoria - narcotics and uppers - but I never noticed an actual high from benzos, just profound relaxation which eventually leads to sleep if you take one too many drops.
If you're constantly anxious then the feeling of relaxation is a high. It's why you get people that are convinced you don't feel anything from it and then the people that get massive euphoria from it
vesi Cal I've always said this. Their ghettos and projects are like nice neighborhoods here. Then again, many Africans would see American ghettos as nice neighborhoods. It's relative.
They are houses handed out by the government as welfare, trust me you wouldn't want to live there if u are a normal human being. Full of craclheads and rats who try to make a quick buck of everything they see.
Ye the thing is those places are given by government and if you don't keep em to some sort of standard u get chucked out. Saying that as far as junkies go those guys had it pretty tidy, maybe they tidied up for TV, normally ppls yards are a lot worse
DonOneBryson Parts of Detroit are like that I assume, and most of the areas hurricane Katrina went through are still the same as they were right after it hit them. Him searching through the cabinets acting like he's in the grips of withdrawals like he can't walk 5 feet to the local pub and have a drink and make it go away 🤦
Wtf are you going on about? He was clearly withdrawing so he got an emergency prescription. At what point does he say alcohol helps or that he even drinks alcohol. And how the f£@k do you know if there's a pub 5 feet away. Be quiet you clown
Have you even listened to what was being said ? My god ppl are so cruel and ignorant . I hope nobody from your family or friends ever gets addicted and you are there to advice them to go the pub and judge … silly person .
Dublife_junk Insta not to challenge your post at all....... addiction has developed at or before the point where sudden cessation of the use of a substance results in adverse consequences that are reversible ONLY by commencing use of the subject substance or one that uses the same pathways - i cite conventional opioids vs tramadol. they use the same pathways; therefore result in the consequences of sudden cessation of use of either. IF one suddenly stops using benzos, alcohol, opioids, and becomes ill, that is addiction. I also propose that tolerance during the course of treatment (i.e; opioids for pain) is a component of addiction. Getting doctors and patients on the same page with this issue is desperately needed; too many doctors persecute. Nurses are much more insightful with long-term patients: they know they patient IS addicted, but not of his or her own hedonistic choice. Sorry, I drifted out of topic on this. I think this documentary does a great job at avoiding moral and character issues; such malicious treatment that feeds off of and into stigma does nothing positive for an issue that's a complex as it is simple (and vice versa).
I was a junkie for over 20 years and got lyrica, that is kid shit. I never saw a point in abuse of it nor did l see a positive impact on the medical conditions it was prescribed for. That shit suxs and the people abusing must really be pathetic.
I took it for a year for nerve pain, I didn't abuse it took it as prescribed but it didn't help the nerve pain but dulled my senses, in the end and against doctors advice I stopped taking it, over three weeks I weaned myself of it, it was horrific .... If u think u aren't addicted after taking it long term , try going without for a few days u will learn just how addicted your body is to this drug, your head will be wrecked, I'm glad I preservered though I feel much better not being on this devil drug
Pregabalin is an widespread problem, speaking as someone who works in pharmacies throughout Essex in England I can honestly confirm that this is a full blown crisis
When it’s used as advised it can be very helpful for people. The problem is how many people are misusing it and those who are dependent on it, using it to get a “high”. It’s not something anyone should take every day for too long.
@realeyesbars the problem is that hella people have been put on lyrica daily by their doctor without being told its addictive or causes a bad physical dependence, and then they end up with a physical dependence that's brutal to get off of. Lyrica wasn't even scheduled when it came out, absolutely ludicrous and disgusting. This has happened with many other prescription drugs.
Stuff sounds nasty. When I left a crappy alcohol detox they gave me a ton of valium as much as that guy took in the video took them all with beer no problem. Or Xanax. I still think alcohol is the worst drug
You've got to try and remember that these People are Humans, someone Loves them.. We need to help these people some how.. I'm not qualified to say what needs doing but there are Qualified, intelligent minds in our country that know what to do..
I'm on 450mg a day I get 84 capsules a month but I end up doing them in a week every time, the withdrawal isn't that bad I'm in methadone and is no where near the withdrawal of opiates the people saying that clearly aren't on opiates they don't know the meaning of withdrawal. I'm in pregabalin for anxiety (although haven't had any in last 6 months) and also to replace the diazepam I was on because benzodiazepine withdrawal is fatal it's no joke so to be honest the pregabalin has done me a lot of good I'm off anti depressants aswell cos of it and the anti depressants are criminal the drug companies ants are the biggest gangsters walking they also suppress cancer cures and people that do that re not to be trusted.
So in reality I'm on.between 1000mg-3000mg for a week then nothing for 3 weeks till I get them again. This way I don't get physically addicted like taken them everyday although I did do that at first but saw the addiction coming and thought it's better to enjoy myself for a week and not get addicted
Some people react more strongly to Gabapentin than Pregabalin and the doses/lasting effects are different too.I was prescribed Pregabalin for the nerve pain of shingles at 60 yrs old. They gave me Tramadol after an MRI scan showed spinal fractures due to osteoporosis; The Tramadol was easier to reduce when the back pain lessened. It has taken me a year to get the Pregabalin down to 25 mg once a day.I overdosed accidentally whilst on both-blood pressure was 200/140.Not good.Muscle twitches meant I was spilling hot tea over myself and my memory was shot.Paramedics thought I had sepsis.Hospitalised for 3 months. These drugs were prescribed and at the time I needed them for pain relief, but there are serious risks involved and a long withdrawal.
Pregabalin is a medication that works great for some & absolutely terrible for others. I took it off script to start with then requested it from the doctor as it completely changed my life & my anxiety/eupd for the better. I'm now on 150mg twice a day. Yet some of my friends who have GAD/Social anxiety find it terrible & no good and hated it. It's a really strange acting medication but I feel it gets shunned because of this. Yet I do feel because it's strange acting & almost dangerous for some it can be a risky med. All I can say is personally it has changed my life for the best. Got me free from a 15+ severe alcohol problem caused by social anxiety & keeps me 100% stable in the community. So yeah - Great for some, absolutely terrible for others. Watch out for this.
Mais me fala mesmo ele fazendo o uso de uma forma errada porque é uma droga a qual é usado por via oral e não nasal ou seja sendo cheirada da mesma forma que a cocaína ele causa o efeito desejado da mesma forma sendo pela via oral
I just left a comment similar to this. I know people that use it as Insomnia medication. I use it as a stimulant/mood regulator. It works very differently for different people.
But no, let's fight against cannabis while all these legal drugs are being prescribed by people who are supposed to be helping you. I've been saying this forever; there's no money in a cure. If these "cure" something, they are bound to cause another problem, which requires another medication, which requires another, etc.
Medication cured my insomnia, but yeah, i pay 6 bucks for a pack of zolpidem (30 pills). Nothing is free man, not even to be healthy and well. And not everyone get addicted, im not.
True. The big bucks is in the forever ending treatment. A cure would only benefit the patient. The pharmacutical companies, doctors, Hospitals, labs, clinics, etc. They make the $$$$ on slowly treating ( killing you ).
He must be experiencing hella placebo effect cuz pregabalin can't be absorbed directly through the bloodstream like cocaine or opiates its a very specific active transport mechanism located in the small intestine. So this dude is being ur typical drug addict and doing dumb shit lol
I have abused pregabalin and also heroin separately, the cold turkey withdrawal from pregabalin was not far from being as awful as heroin withdrawal. However doctors refused to even consider this fact. I was in hell physically and mentally whilst being told what I was going through was impossible. It was only recently it has come to light that many, many others have experienced the exact same thing as I did. I also started having many seizures on this medication, I'd never had a seizure in my life. I'm guessing doctors are now seeing this but it won't be officially recognised because of the risk of lawsuits and so on.
I've kicked opiates and kicking gabapentin was basically just as bad, but it also had wierd stomach bubbling, horrible electric waves up my back, mad itching, non stop farting (and you could not trust a fart in this state), plus I had horrible bad acid trip like horror and anxiety. I closed my eyes, tried to sleep, and had visions of massive malformed babies opening their mouths like fish. I've never had anything this bad kicking opiates
You had seizures on it or coming off of it/skipping a dose? Because these gabapentinoids are supposed to help seizures and for me personally they stopped mine, I'm on gabapentin and I always have a bunch of phenibut for when I run out of the gaba....my life is significantly better on gabapentinoids though I've never been on lyrica or even tried it, just my gabapentin and phenibut. I started gabapentin when they first started giving it to me in a detox center and I realized just how much it helped with a lot of things, being on suboxone and gabapentin is significantly better than smoking black tar and drinking loads of Vodka on a daily basis. Everyone's brain chemistry is different though and every medication is different
My personal experience of the effects (prescribed) is mostly that it is like alcohol but without mental impairment. It removes the "mental barriers" to talking to people.
@@Sa7raoui93sounds like GBL back in the day. Just like best alcohol "high" but with zero actual alcohol physical symptoms. Until you accidentally do 2.1ml instead of 2.0ml or do the next dose 2h 30min after the previous one instead of 3h and you just pass out randomly and cannot stop it in any way.
A lot of judgemental comments here....................probably all upstanding model citizens. That's our society today........a complete lack of empathy, coming from Apple and Nike junkies.
This is one of the most sensible statements I've read here! Well done for having some pragmatism and a bit of compassion...two characteristics that are sadly on the decline throughout Western society.
Don't forget the very respectable newage journalist.. They reach all 16 of their readers daily on their platform Twitter. Where you've gotta be very brave to pass judgement and talk shit while hiding behind their computer
I'm shocked that this could be abused. I used it for 4 months after being stabbed in the back. Had severe nerve pain in my right leg. I understand why my doctor said I was crazy to stop cold turkey when I didn't felt like I needed it anymore.. I hope that guy is gonna get better.
I use this drug that was given to me by my psychiatrist for ocd management and let me tell you this stuff has completely changed my life I dont have obsessions anymore and my anxiety practically does not exist anymore I feel rejuvenated and super relaxed, now knowing the effects I can def see how people would want to abuse this drug it does provide a tranquilizing euphoric high and sometimes the euphoria is so strong its almost gut wrenching
I’ve been able to go back to a little drink and pot when it’s not too bad. However I had a loved one where the pain wouldn’t be touched with that. Yes it will make people dependent and has a high potential for abuse. And the withdrawals can be worse than the Benefits at times. The trick is to never get that deep, if possible.
Gabapentin is weaker than pregabs but high doses can buzz you all the same. High doses of pregabs give a majorly intense high and can totaly smash ya. If someone who has no tolerance to them takes 400 to 600mg they will be absolutely mangled.
Just another documentary about broken homes and the inevitabilities that arise from an indiviuals environment. Progabalin is clearly not the issue here.
It would be 'an individual's ' meaning, the ownership of the noun, being the individual. Also, "individual's" can also be used, grammatically correct ofcourse, using it as a way of expressing such; as an example, "the individual's car was confiscated, in an effort to provide proper safety precautions for the community"... Meaning, obviously, the *individual's* car (showing ownership of a noun, in this particular sentence, which is a car)can be used in many instances. Another example "Barbara's almost there, she is running late". Instead of saying "Barbara *IS* almost there", you could (grammatically speaking) say "Barbara's running late" instead..etc.
I'm not giving u a lesson, just being a smart ass, as u decided to try &sound smart, without actually using real grammar. 😜😍😍😍😍DE NADA (you're welcome, in Spanish)
Agree. Addiction is the symptom. Accept, help and understand and they will contribute to society, but judge, exclude and blame and they'll prey on society and be a drain on it's resources. People often can't see the longer view, too easy to blame, dismiss and take the moral high ground. Who are we if not the products of the environment and of the people we grow up with and in whoes eyes we see ourselves reflected...
Yep same .. was prescribed pregabs for anxiety and took 2 tabs a day for a few months.. all it does is make you feel drunk and constipated.. there’s no bloody high off that crap!!

I have both anxiety and nerve pain. Not on Pregabalin, but am on Gabapentin and they're very similar. I know what he means about when you don't have it. The withdrawal is ridiculous.
I can't help but notice the other medications listed at 29:47. He is on some other serious drugs (a benzo, a nonbenzodiazepine hypnotic, a TCA antidepressant, and an antipsychotic). Poor guy must have a hell of an anxiety and/or insomnia problem to be on that cocktail. It's still worth pointing out that all of those noted above are taken at night though, and the temazepam is PRN.
It's worth pointing that if he is prescribed a Benzo for the daytime, and they gave him Temazepam (You said PRN, which means "As Needed"), the Doctor is seriously underqualified and should of at least called a pharmacist for some help... Temazepam is a Hypnotic Benzodiazepine which are supposed to be for Sleep Problems, mostly falling asleep...but they are not meant to be taken during the day...That's for sure!
@@ohmmygod4963 Actually it can be used off-label for anxiety, likely prescribed by a psychiatrist. You have no idea of the circumstances and evidently know nothing about medicine given your "the doctor is seriously underqualified" comment.
@@Nitroblast Nitroblast Well it's a Fact that Doctors are NOT Pharmacists. Sweet to the beat after a minute? 200 mg? Lyrica takes at least an hour to work and tolerance escalates very quickly. I have friends who gobble them like smarties.
well yeah when you snort then it goes directly into your blood stream through the pores of the skin. snorting and injecting are the fastest way for a drug to have an effect, instant one. then you can smoke it, then its under the tongue and finally swallowing them. though, when you snort or inject, sure the effect is immediate, you have an instant buzz yet the come down is fast and very uncomfortable. When you put them under the tongue or swallowing them, it can lasts several hours without withdrawal symptoms. . I am a recovering addict and I hate that I know so much about the subject yet, it is what it is.
When you're addicted to a drug, much of the relief from taking a hit is anticipatory, ie. as soon as you've taken it you start to feel better even before it can have any pharmacological effect.
Question for those taking daily pregabalin as prescribed: If you miss a dose, does it bother you? How long after a missed dose does withdrawal effects happen? My doc wants me to try this for pain left from aggressive chemo and I'm not sure I want to go this route. Thanks for any help. I know people have made comments about this down in the thread, but I'd like to see what people experience in a condensed thread.
I have a ton of this drug and it never got me high. I just decided it didn’t do anything for me. Took me two years to get off klonopin. Hardest two years of my life. And then I was off benzos for 5 years. Then I had the most extreme panic attack ever and now I take Valium as needed. Not proud of it but I can’t afford to have an attack like that in a professional setting
Lyrica made me feel like I was in a dream state. Couldn't concentrate, way too tired. It was shit and didn't help my chronic pain. Weird to see people addicted to it. I wonder if he'd been given a sugar pill and told it was lyrica, if he'd have the same reaction, my guess is maybe.
Abby Normal I thought the same thing. I was prescribed Lyrica a couple years ago. I only took it for a few days because it did nothing to help my pain and was really expensive. Definitely had no kind of buzz or anything. (I’ve taken opioids after surgery and those do.) So weird.
I was prescribed lyrica for neuropathy and chronic pain. I had the same reaction as you did, Abby Normal. Definitely not a pleasant experience. Gabapentin is more effective for me and it's a lot more affordable. Take care all.
The doctor gave me pregabalin because I wanted to exhaust all non-narcotic treatment options for my arthritis before I did the unavoidable. I came home from spending the evening with friends thankful I didn't drive; I was grinding my teeth harder than disco dust made Marvin Gaye grind his and I felt as though I was on on the edge of a seizure for the next 48 hours. It was a terrible feeling.
Bless him, drug addiction is a dark place, whether it’s an addiction to street drugs, prescription or alcohol Prescription opiates with a fancy label started me off on the road to Heroin addiction Hope you are doing well Kenneth, and are on the road to recovery
It's weird how some have such severe wd symptoms. I used it in high doses per day (600 mg), cut it down to 400, then 200, and now I just take 100mg. People really must be different in some sense of enzymes etc. Imo it's the best drug of choice for anxiety. There's no fog like with benzos. It actually feels somewhat stimulating.
If I would just take mine the right way, the way it says on the label I would be okay. I'm an addict so more is always good in my mind and I screw myself out of my own meds. I eat 90 150mg lyrica inside of 2 weeks. The other 2 weeks I depend on what gabapentin I can find.
@nathanialbroadway2719 yup gabapentinoids are unpredictable, especially lyrica. Some ppl barely get any withdrawals while others get horrid withdrawals from being on a low daily dose for a month.
@deemah3602 yeah tapering is the way. It's just easier with Pregabalin in my opinion. But idk if 400 mg a day was high, I took only half (200mg over night, I just read my comment and wrote it was 100mg, my bad). I think objectively it's easier to taper and get out of your system. I don't want to say that there are not people who experience horrible withdrawal symptoms. I do know, the first time I took it it was a high. One that wasn't something I wanted personally. Sure there are people who take higher and higher doses because the drug loses effect of this high very quickly. They are not getting help by making this sound like a killer drug. Idk how the doctors are in your country but in mine it's not much for profit. So have compliance with a qualified doctor if you really have a problem with the substance.
He's bang in trouble when and if he decides to come off.. gotta tapy that shit slowly. And it's got to be real pharmaceutical diazepam to taper from. Otherwise it's goodnight Vienna
As someone who takes Lyrica for a medical condition (nerve pain) i become addicted, all I have to say is these addicts are digging their own graves (hence why I quit). If they continue down this path, then things will end every badly for them. Plus they're going to potentially ruin it for patients legitimately need the drug. I understand that addicts are desperate and sick and not criminals. On the other hand drug addicts are not 100% blameless, and should take at least some of the responsibility as well.
@@livalittle7 Generally speaking, if you think you may have an addiction then you probably do. Think about quiting or asking the doctor for something else. If that feels like a good idea when you've taken one and a bad idea when you want one then also another sign of addiction. If you get the feeling you want/need one when you've already taken one then your tollerance is going up, the first sign you may need professional help. If you have any worries, go and see your doctor and talk to them without hiding things and be honest.
I have a lot of questions. I take this drug for partial seizures, at a low dose. It stops my seizures really well, havent had one in 2 years. How do you become addicted to this?
They made me high i was taking 84 lyrica throughout the day for 7 months 100 mg each i take it that day and be high for 3 to 4 days i wanted to die not get high im a yr and a half off them now
I been done heroin oxicodone morphine and fentanyl and I was on pregabalin 600mg daily for abput 8 months and trust me pregabalin wd is worse than opiate wd
recovering opiate addict here and i get very offended when people talk about non addictive sustances comparing them to opiates. I would say these kids are emotionally addicted and much of the withdrawal is plecebo. Opiates like morphine and heroin are emotionally addictive but also physically. And its the worste you could ever feel
Ricky Sardi Exactly put. Also recovering oxycodone and fentanyl addict. Currently 11 months clean I'm trying to get off methadone treatment tapered down to 40mg from 120mg can't wait to get off this shit fuck opiates I don't wanna be another statistic in this opiate epidemic.
I was prescribed a high dose of pregabalin for anxiety & bipolar. I used to get a little dizzy but nothing more. Told my doctor & she told me stop taking them. So I stopped taking them & had no side effect. But I’m disgusted that there was no discussion or info given to me about all of this
It's also neurotoxic and had made alot of people deaf or hard of hearing. If you google "tinnitus pregabalin" you will see what I mean. Just because you are prescribed a drug does not make it safe or a good idea to take it.

But Cannabis is illegal. Go figure

As for withdrawl, I'm already terrified of that when I quit in the future (if I do). I can't go a day without it without suffering. It's extremely rare that I ever miss a dose though, I need it too much.

Tom A. Owen true and sadly I think it has a lot
To do with where you were brought up and the friends you chose
Mason | Indeed. It makes sense that if someone has a strong support network they are more able to process trauma healthily. Some people have the cards stacked against them in life and don't develop healthy coping strategies. It's good that you haven't gone down that path. Hopefully when people understand the reasons for behaviour shown in this documentary they will be less likely to fall into that trap and also reserve judgement on those that do.
Tom A. Owen junkies should be shot! Waste of oxygen

So good
Wait for real?? I first came across this doc years ago and I frequently check in every once in a while and rewatch it. I first watched it while I was in a bad spot. Id really love to know if you are being for real about kenneth.
Nice to hear that about him👌
FINALLY SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS SCIENCE
Yeah I'm on gabapentin which is neurontin 600mgs same as lyrica and I'd never snort it. To me there stupid pills... There so addictive tho.
especially seeing as most of it seemed to be getting trapped halfway up his nose by the time he was talking to the counsellor, I can't see how it would be more effective than getting 100% straight into your stomach. But all the euphoric recall - the taste of the empty capsule, the feel and smell of the powder - must contribute to it being a better experience for him.
Chris Thomson yes it is. Just absorbed differently. It's as easy aas Google. They are the same exact thing used for the same exact things.
www.pharmacytimes.com/contributor/jeffrey-fudin/2015/09/how-gabapentin-differs-from-pregabalin
There's the differences.
You bet your ass you will get terrible withdrawals if you stop
I broke my neck in 2013, and take pregabalin to calm nerve pain in my fingers. I don't feel any "high" from it, So it had never crossed my mind that people were addicted to the stuff! Madness. Hope these lads get clean!
The shit isn't much more psychoactive than caffeine. People will get "addicted" to anything.
Harry Lewis Really? I was prescribed it and it wiped me off my face. It felt like ecstacy. And I normally have a huge tolerance to drugs.
Neither did I. The problem isn't with Pregabalin, but with the abuse and mixing with other stuff, which is what they do.
+WhispersparklesASMR How can Pregabalin "feels like" ecstasy when one is a medication to treat nerve pain and the other is a drug to make you feel euphoria? They are entirely opposed to each other in terms of what they achieve.
Bullshit,,eat 600mg and tell me its like coffee
Lyrica can be hard to come off it you've been taking it for a while, and everyone reacts differently. I've taken it as prescribed for years (fibromyalgia), and now each time I lower my dose my central nervous system has a hissy fit and makes me pretty ill. I feel that guys pain. Hugs from Australia x
Lyrica is the company or pharmaceutical that make them
Im on the same meds here in WA 🇦🇺 for fibro, horrible to come off though! Good luck mate
The nausea from coming off it is brutal.
Just dropping by 75mg to a lesser dose of 225mg is hard enough, I don't think ill be ready to drop anymore for at least another month.
Kenneth looks like Spud from Trainspotting
Lol hes the head of him.

So true
Is it less intense and dangerous than a benzo withdrawal, or about the same?
Its all in your head just stop
Thank God for subtitles
It’s easy to understand what they are saying just got to listen better. They are speaking English so shouldn’t have difficulty understanding.
i was so confused when they called the pills “bud”. i was sitting here like, “well, where’s the weed...?” 😅😅
😍😍😍
Even though it’s explained that it’s sometimes called buds before the term is used
lol I was like where are the women?
I live in south west England (North Devon) and have never heard pregabs be called ‘buds’!
It’s nicknamed buds relating to Budweiser, because it can induce a feeling of being drunk.
I live in North America and we have commercials on TV for Lyrica
Why is Lyrica so expensive!?
Expensive?
Iv'e never worn lycra, just doesn't suit my leg shape!
Do not watch this on a comedown!
Jo Ski don't watch it coming up! 😂
I don't know what it was, but i guess Crystal Speed or MMC
his list of prescriptions was pretty heavy: zolpidem, temazepam, quetiapine, mertazapine, pregabalin.
Welcome to Ireland and UK where doctors stick you on medication and leave you
That's a heavy duty list of meds. Good luck getting out of that hell hole. Benzodiazepines antisychotics hypnotic z drugs and anti depressant off label sleeper mirtazipine equals brain 🧠 meltdown..each one is hell to come off..
@@waynegrow Agree 100 %
I miss being a kid when I was healthy
its cannabis oil you need, it wont make you sound so much like a judging junky
Lryica is preferred because after a certain point the body cant continue to absorb gabapentin but not lyrica
Chris Thomson I am glad you avoided the side effects. I realize the best thing I shoild be doing now is weight loss. Too bad there isnt a good drug for that.
After how many grams of Gabapentin does it stop absorbing it?

Pregabs are worse than Heroin the withdrawal symptoms are far more difficult to deal with,
I was on them for 7years due to Pancreatitis. Now I'm off them and I thank GOD for helping Me
So people that are addicted to them I fully understand you just adding this in Methadone is the worst one if you've been on it for years.
@Zarah Louise I think its different to everybody so are you fully off everything now?
Benzodiazepine withdrawl is pretty brutal too. You can seize up and die and the withdrawal period is pretty long too
How did it help pancreatitis?
Things like phenibut and gabapentin (similar to Lyrica) just make me feel normal unless I take a super high dose than it kinda feels like GHB
same I have it for crps
I've been on it for 2 years at 300mg per day and I can miss a day without noticing much to be honest. Withdrawals really begin to manifest after a few days. that was a type o and i have rectified it thanks....maybe alone those drugs are not so heavy but together...my my
THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYING!!

It has the most euphoric effects of any GABAenergic
Apologies its technically active at voltage gated calium channels
it has extremely euphoric effects when combined with an opiate and also a benzo, the holy trinity 🙏
The dude is also on seroquel, that shit would knock down an elephant
And temazepam!!
And zolpidem, all prescribed at night too😅
All these are for Bipolar or mental health conditions, I've been on them all and they dont knock you out once you've built up a tolerance unfortunately! it's a vicious cycle. I'm clean off all physchiatric meds now 😁

@@Jon-jc1jf Why so hostile? Honest question.
The surprising thing, here as well as with Valium, is that these substances don’t even give a proper high. No euphoria, just a deep sense of relaxation and numbness, sometimes excessive, to the point of not being able to do anything, demotivation, even depression. Informs how people need to escape their anxious yet probably boring life.
they do give a euphoria though, albeit mild or moderate, they absolutely do. both valium and gaba.
@@jennyneedsmeds must be my biased references of euphoria - narcotics and uppers - but I never noticed an actual high from benzos, just profound relaxation which eventually leads to sleep if you take one too many drops.
Taken in high doses make you mad. Otherwise seeking oblivion is addictive in itself.
If you're constantly anxious then the feeling of relaxation is a high. It's why you get people that are convinced you don't feel anything from it and then the people that get massive euphoria from it
It probably depends on what the anxiety is keeping a person from doing

not to challenge your post at all....... addiction has developed at or before the point where sudden cessation of the use of a substance results in adverse consequences that are reversible ONLY by commencing use of the subject substance or one that uses the same pathways - i cite conventional opioids vs tramadol. they use the same pathways; therefore result in the consequences of sudden cessation of use of either.
Try to stop taking it. If you can do that with no effects, you are one of the lucky ones.
@@oneworld9071 addiction vs dependence is what you are missing me thinks
Alcohol definitely the worst drug

It's worth pointing that if he is prescribed a Benzo for the daytime, and they gave him Temazepam (You said PRN, which means "As Needed"), the Doctor is seriously underqualified and should of at least called a pharmacist for some help...

well yeah when you snort then it goes directly into your blood stream through the pores of the skin.
snorting and injecting are the fastest way for a drug to have an effect, instant one.
then you can smoke it, then its under the tongue and finally swallowing them.
though, when you snort or inject, sure the effect is immediate, you have an instant buzz yet the come down is fast and very uncomfortable. When you put them under the tongue or swallowing them, it can lasts several hours without withdrawal symptoms.

It's weird how some have such severe wd symptoms. I used it in high doses per day (600 mg), cut it down to 400, then 200, and now I just take 100mg. People really must be different in some sense of enzymes etc. Imo it's the best drug of choice for anxiety. There's no fog like with benzos. It actually feels somewhat stimulating.
I know what you mean , completely!!!
I mean you have cut it down… Gradual lowering of a dosage is the way to not experience WDs

How did you figure out that you were addicted? I’ve been on it for several months
Skip a day or two and see how you feel. You'll know. But yeah, better ask your doctor. (:
