Love mine. People who have cared for it say it's one of the best they have driven and has been trouble free. Bamford Rose carried out the pre purchase inspection, which is worth its weight in gold.

I love this car. In fact, I think it is one of the most beautiful cars ever created, and the best looking Aston this side of 2000, with a beautiful V12 to boot. I expect the prices to drop quite a bit over the next year or so before they start to level off then go up long term. I don't mean to say this as an investment, rather it would be a good time to enter the market. My goal would be to keep this car in excellent condition, up to date on maintenance, garage kept, and driven maybe 100-500 miles per month. The one box it doesn't tick is it can't be pushed hard. On Top Gear they thrashed the car on their test track and it had to go in for service three times before they could finish the review. I do enjoy cruising, spirited on-ramp merging, etc, but I also want to be able to put some heat in the tires and carve through a canyon with it. If it can't do that, then I think I need to look elsewhere (e.g. Porsche). And that makes me a little sad, because I could otherwise see owning this car until I'm too old to keep driving.

Nice timing with the end of Car Trek season 2. Was already looking around for info regarding Vanquish!

Enjoyed the video on the Vanquish I just purchased a 2014 Vanquish about a month ago with 7000 miles and so far I love the car previously I had two different years of DB nine models which also I thought were great cars. Looking forward to viewing more of your videos. I am in Los Angeles if you happen to know any dedicated independent shops here.

A classic Vanquish and the Ferrari 360 are my top two dreams cars. I have always thought the Vanquish is one of the most incredible looking cars I've ever seen, but the thought of being advised to only drive the car one handful of times a year just seems so depressing. If I ever manage to make a decent living and could buy something like this I'd want to drive it more than 5 times a year that's for damn sure.

Excellent content: In another life I would have two.., one for the shop, and one to drive. However, living in the USA, and not in possession of limitless funds, the Vanquish will be my fantasy car, lol…
Again, thx for the excellent content.

Mike, thanks for this and all your work. You mention an engine upgrade of exhaust manifolds, cams, and remap, for the Vanquish. I would like to know more for my 2003.

How do you feel about the next generation Vanquishes w/ the better 8 speed?

@@BamfordRose 2017. potential trade on a rare, appreciating car that is currently worth substantially less than the still depreciating Vanquish, but very likely to be worth more in the not too distant future. worried the Vanquish will depreciate into oblivion.

Absolutely love the classic Vanquish...But really too afraid to buy one here in Canada...even if they are way much cheaper here than in Europe !!!I I don't think any dealer or exotic car garage has the knowledge to work efficiently on them. Why are you located on the wrong side of the pond ??? That's sad for me...

The comments about manual conversion were really stretching it a bit…. the theatre of pulling the paddles… gear changes destabilising the car in bends? Awww. I’d only be interested in one with a manual now that the classic Vantages are out of reach and I wouldn’t care if the gear-lever was mounted on the roof.

Highly unlikely to ever own a Vanquish*, but appreciate the 'over the shoulder' experience you provide, Branford.
    * unless I win the lottery, or marry a rich woman....haha

I've tried, but can't get along with the classic Vanquish's looks - the rear haunches are too angular.

I'm not sure about Aston values. Obviously Ferrari hold their value the best out of any car manufacturer but apart from them, Aston hold very well against all others imo. They do better than Bentley, they do better than the average Porsche and Lamborghini are starting to be hit now. There's no point in mentioning McLaren

I like these cars and I'm sorry but the impression I get of Aston Martin from these videos is that the engineers probably know how to make a reliable car but the management are all spivs. They make cars to a price which results in cheap solutions but the cars are still very expensive. This is why they are unreliable and this is why they devalue.
