What a treat to see you, your mom and daughter having a wonderful time together at Talbot's. Talbot's has been a favorite of mine too for many years. As a rule, Talbot's clothing is classic, updated, high quality AND a bit pricey. I always try to get in on the sales!

I love Talbot's even though I find it a little out of my budget since I've retired. They did award me with some college scholarship money when I started college in my 40s, which I m forever grateful for.

Hi Kay - you don’t have to ask me to send a kind comment to your mom because that was the first thing I was thinking as I was watching that I wanted to say how wonderful your mom looks. I’m not quite her age. I am 75. But I always think of myself as old and when I see your mom at 87 looking this good and hearing how she exercises and all the things she does it really inspired me. Tell her thank you for being on this video. I feel like God is using her to let other older women know that it’s not over. At least he used her in my life. How wonderful to know that we can still look good and have an active life even though we’re older. Love in Christ

Love this! My mom was a Talbots shopper as are my sister & I. She was AlWAYS dressed in her Talbots best (right up to her passing at 91). Yes! I went to stay with mom while dad was away in Greece. But just before I left to go Talbots asked me to do this video with my mom or daughter. Of course they both live in Georgia, so it worked out beautifully. 🥰
You three look wonderful. Mum is a trooper for doing this. I have been a Talbots loyal customer for over 35 years. Back when I was 30 they used to have some gorgeous work outfits in silk and suede. I am sorry I donated them, but I am sure they wouldn't fit now. I recently did a big Talbots haul for Spring Summer and the best thing I purchased was their Nautical Stripe Fit and Flare dress (navy and white) It looks so good, it will be a dress on repeat this Summer. I just washed and ironed it, and it was surprisingly easy to iron. A 2023 Summer winner. Thank you, Kay.
I have been a Talbot’s shopper since the late 90s. The last 20+ years I have shopped the catalog, in store, factory store, but my favorite place is to find slashing pieces in thrift and consignment stores. Something about the fabrics and designs, they stand out and have been a wonderful addition to my wardrobe.

I just added several items to my wardrobe within the last week. Their new linen Bermuda shorts are so flattering. I purchased the navy so that it goes with my navy linen blazer. Kay, you inspired me to purchase the Bristol cotton trousers and I have already styled them several ways. Oh so comfortable. You have a lovely family.

From Laura: It was interesting to hear of your family's long history with Talbots. I first bought a dress at Talbots (to wear to a wedding) about 19 years ago, and as I have gotten older, I have found myself shopping there more and more often. (I am now 46.) Unfortunately, all is not coming up roses at Talbots these days. Recently I went in to try on their white denim A-line, knee length skirt. I had been looking for a white knee length skirt for a long time - this year, it is almost impossible to find knee length skirts as they are mostly maxi, midi, or several inches above knee length. Why this is I can't figure out as knee length looks good on everyone. I was so excited, the fit was good, the length was perfect, I did a twirl for my husband, and then I noticed his face. He did not like the white pockets drawing all the attention to my bottom. That's when we realized that the pockets were made of white fabric which showed through the white denim. Last year, I bought Talbots' perfect short in white, which was made with nude pockets. No pocket show at all. I did leave a review about this on Talbots' website, but maybe they would listen to you more? I really want to shop at Talbots as I usually like their styles and it seems that most other stores (especially in BC, Canada where I live) are geared to young women.

You three look wonderful. Mum is a trooper for doing this. I have been a Talbots loyal customer for over 35 years. Back when I was 30 they used to have some gorgeous work outfits in silk and suede. I am sorry I donated them, but I am sure they wouldn't fit now. I recently did a big Talbots haul for Spring Summer and the best thing I purchased was their Nautical Stripe Fit and Flare dress (navy and white) It looks so good, it will be a dress on repeat this Summer. I just washed and ironed it, and it was surprisingly easy to iron. A 2023 Summer winner. Thank you, Kay.
I have been a Talbot’s shopper since the late 90s. The last 20+ years I have shopped the catalog, in store, factory store, but my favorite place is to find slashing pieces in thrift and consignment stores. Something about the fabrics and designs, they stand out and have been a wonderful addition to my wardrobe.

I just added several items to my wardrobe within the last week. Their new linen Bermuda shorts are so flattering. I purchased the navy so that it goes with my navy linen blazer. Kay, you inspired me to purchase the Bristol cotton trousers and I have already styled them several ways. Oh so comfortable. You have a lovely family.

So glad to see your mom joining you. She is amazing!! I like to see that her style is similar to yours. I love your classic style and sometimes at 74 I wonder if it’s appropriate for me. But seeing your mom rock the same classical style, gives me more confidence knowing I’m not dressing too young.

Love your outfit also. As I mentioned yesterday, I wore my bright colored sweater top that you have on. I love it. Too bad it is sold out all ready. If you really want it maybe someone will return there's because it didn't work out for them. I all ready have linen white pants but you rave about them so much, I might have to get another pair of the Bristol linen pants.

From Laura: It was interesting to hear of your family's long history with Talbots. I first bought a dress at Talbots (to wear to a wedding) about 19 years ago, and as I have gotten older, I have found myself shopping there more and more often. (I am now 46.) Unfortunately, all is not coming up roses at Talbots these days. Recently I went in to try on their white denim A-line, knee length skirt. I had been looking for a white knee length skirt for a long time - this year, it is almost impossible to find knee length skirts as they are mostly maxi, midi, or several inches above knee length. Why this is I can't figure out as knee length looks good on everyone. I was so excited, the fit was good, the length was perfect, I did a twirl for my husband, and then I noticed his face. He did not like the white pockets drawing all the attention to my bottom. That's when we realized that the pockets were made of white fabric which showed through the white denim. Last year, I bought Talbots' perfect short in white, which was made with nude pockets. No pocket show at all. I did leave a review about this on Talbots' website, but maybe they would listen to you more? I really want to shop at Talbots as I usually like their styles and it seems that most other stores (especially in BC, Canada where I live) are geared to young women.
