Dai's ability to communicate what he feels in the The Boyfriend was profound, and when I find myself stuck, I rewatch some of the episodes and apply Dai's compassion, patience and bravery to my situation. That said, Shun has not disappointed and is love itself towards Dai now. The way Shun looks at Dai, there are no words needed. I am constantly recommending The Boyfriend to everyone I know. I noticed something about Dai: someone said how he’s different now and how he acts like a baby sometimes.😂 I think now that they’re away from the show, he can act that way with the man he loves just as Shun acts like a baby sometimes. To me, even on the show Dai was always upbeat, laughing, and acting silly. He’s just got an outgoing personality. The one time he got upset was at Ikou (which I felt bad for Ikou) and he didn’t even raise his voice, but other than that, his personality was on an even keel. He’s just a good guy, patient and really loves Shun and everybody liked him in the house. I really hope things continue to go good for them and they keep important issues to themselves. The public doesn’t need to know everything about their relationship. ❤
It’s been so inspiring for me to see Shun and Dai’s relationship grow the way it has. I wish I could go back in time and show this to my 18yo self because I see so much of my personality in Shun, and I’ve had guys telling me since high school that no one would ever love me because of it. They didn’t like that I’m sensitive and don’t hide my emotions when I’m happy or upset, and they’d put me down for it. But seeing how Shun was able to find someone as patient as Dai who can love and accept him has been really special to me. Part of me had given up on love, but these two have inspired me to keep being myself, keep expressing my emotions, and keep myself open to being loved. Thank you DaiShun!! 🫶🏿🫰🏿
