The single-turn snecko kill at 31:00 where jorbs starts and ends with ink bottle and nunchaku on 9 is a perfect example of what makes him such a good StS player. A lot of people could have 1-turn killed snecko with this deck, but figuring out how to do that while perfectly cycling both relics is impressive.
Having a stressful night and I actually cannot tell you how relieved I was when I refreshed my page and this was up, guaranteed chill vibes and neat gameplay for almost two hours. Just what I needed.
I watched the whole damn thing for the shovel. My imagination was flying from shovel digging out boss relics, new, never seen before relics, digging out potions and cards left and right without respite, digging out new bosses, digging new shovels, digging up a watcher then hastily burying her back in. I had a dream about StS becoming Steam World Dig. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. Nice infinites tho.
Spoilers for the run: jorbs never clicks dig. What's with the clickbait title? I feel like this is an interesting run, but it has nothing to do with shovel. Even just having "spoon" instead of "shovel" would work imo
I watched someone else play Slay the Spire. I didn't realize that Jorbs was using a mod to keep the screen from shaking every time a lightning orb activates. That shit is unpleasant.
Main reason why thunder strike isn’t a very good card is lightning orbs already deal damage. Thunder strike can still have its place in certain circumstances but for the majority of runs your lightning will kill the enemy before thunder strike is even relevant.
Ah yes, the classic Thunder Strike argument. I can definitely see why new players gasp at the eventual potential damage of the card... While not considering that it's basically a curse the first 2 times through the deck and a bad Bludgeon the 3rd. It can certainly be a fun card in the .1% of Defect runs where it kinda works though... But not on floor 7, lol.
I mean at a certain point in the run I think it was worth it, he was also offered electrodynamics and tempest+chemical x pretty early. Maybe it's still not worth it but it's pretty cool when it does
@@yuvibitter yep, this could have been a good run for the card, especially if he hadn't gotten any real focus up to that point. Tempest+ChemX was also the combo that made me take it in a run a few months ago, so much fun.
I think that the other issue that holds it back is that in decks where it would do lots of work you're already generating many lightning orbs. So you already HAVE good damage. StS doesn't really reward win more combinations. Once you're doing a thing well enough you don't get much more out of doing it better.
i thought the title meant you would dig at the final campfire and get the perfect relic from it or something like that. extremely clickbaited also there were a thousand really cool things going on in this run that you could've clickbaited honestly about instead
Gonna dislike every video where the title promises something that doesn’t happen in the video. Why bother? There are interesting things to say about this video, but he never digs even once.

Nice catch on that, man that’s impressive

Oh man it’s a SPOON deck??? This run owns
Same
Hope your rest of the week is better!

Name of video is false advertising. Did the same. Felt the same.
Shovel was an MVP here. It's just that we're talking about that smaller shovel...

The shovel is indeed perfect, because it didn't steal any upgrades from the deck.
The shovel is still in perfect condition, nice!
Me, resuming the video: “gee, I wonder if jorbs was trolling with the vod title again”
@59:30 : …yes
All shovels are perfect shovels ❤ !dig
!dig :D
Jorbs: I would like a power.
Game: Sir! Right away sir!

Not a mod. Just a checkbox in the setting menu.
Screen shake off is a wonderful setting, I'm really glad the game has it

Title should have been the perfect spoon 😂🥄
Un-upgraded fission makes me uncomfortable.
!Dig? Can we possibly get a claw?

You've got some followers today my friend!
This might be the coolest defect run.
Wouldn't that just be very run with shovel? Shovel is always perfect, Jorbs simply fails to appreciate it sometimes.
You know what, I think this is actually the last jorbs video I watched. The title was just too over the top.
!dig?
It feels weird to say before the usual guy is here…

Doesn't Jorbs usually post earlier in the day? I feel like I've never seen a release so late in the evening.
I have buying but at least I have Jorbs
I mean if you look at it, spoon can be a tiny shovel...

That's the joke.
To expound. A perfect shovel is one you get on floor 1 and then literally never use.
