- Need to work on my landings. Flight around Coolidge AZ airport. The button on top of my yoke column is to be able to scroll thru the pages on the GRT EIS since you can't reach them when your strapped in. It's great to be able to see any the screens at any time.

Thanks Sid, kind of like your area...wide open with not much to see. LOL. I had my daughter try to PM u on FB but she wasn't sure she had the right Sid Essex. She said there were a lot with that name. Did she get the right one?
Well done. For the first half or so of the video, I thought the wing struts had been painted green, then I realized it was the sun shining through the wing. Silly me. The green struts did look good.
It does kind of like they're half painted.Planning on getting struts and they will be green.
Do you still fly in the summer when it's over 100F? Or do you fly in the fall and spring when we are having great weather in AZ? Thank you for posting these videos, it really helps to understand what it is like to fly this aircraft.

Nice video and plane .Concerned I don’t see very many places to land if you have to or is it just the camera angle ?

I recently bought a 103 from a friend of Sid E's and its been a blast! I'm curious where and how you mounted the camera? Its a great perspective!
Hi Jim, I used a Ram V mount with a 6 inch arm to a Ram Gopro mount. It's mounted to the lower wing to tail strut. The V mount has a hose clamp to attach it to the tube. Can't wait to see some vids from u.

@Robert Pilchman What did you use to superimpose the graphics on top of the video?
It's in the GoPro Quik app. You can pick which things to show.
I know this is an old vid, I hope you still monitor it. What are you using to get the flying info on the vid? Thanks.
Can you do any fun maneuvering in your plane? You seem to like a steady scenic flight.
I'm a new pilot so I'm still a little gun shy of extreme maneuvers. Only have 8 or 9 hours flight time so for now it's steady as she goes.

Hi Robert. If you please, what helmet/headset you are using?
I got it from Gulf Coast Avionics. Not sure I would get it thou. It's hard to get the ear muffs tight to your ears. I bought it because it was cheaper then a lot of others but if I had it to do over I would get something else. IMHO

Yes, it falls under 103 regs.
Would you recommend this over a quicksilver mx sport, for a heavier pilot.
I don't have any experience with the QS so I couldn't say. The Aerolight 103 is a great machine but I've sold it and picked up a Challenger 1. I wanted one with a more enclosed cockpit and it has a wrap around windshield and removable doors.
How is it that light after 11 pm?
