    If Joshua knocks out Usyk early you guys will say he had to do that because his chin is suspect. If he outboxes him you guys will say he is still spooked from the Ruiz fight. Nothing he does is ever good enough.

    I find it funny how negative people can be towards a guy who was a world champion after only 34 rounds of professional boxing, boxed Klitschko after 44 rounds of professional boxing, made several world title defences against some of the better names in the division,
    had a couple of unifications, only lost once and stopped 22 of 24 guys.
    Not bad for a guy who seems to be so vulnerable.

    Interesting analysis!!
    Are u stating that the only way AJ wins is by robbery? That's quite subjective:).
    Hmm! It sounded like the only AJ wins this is by the judges calling it for him on points. So, you don't see a way AJ can unload on Usyk,right? A guy with that many KOs on record which is essentially an insight into his killer instincts. In my opinion Usyk having the shorter reach, he wud have to get in behind AJ's jab at which point he could run into a 6 punch combo with some uppercuts in the mix. And that could be lights out if one of those gets him real good from a guy who punches that hard in this divison!!
    This fight could end early or a late stopped by AJ. And I bet it will be one of those signature punches.
    Usyk is a smart techincians and could potentially frastrate AJ but he wud have to figure-out how to get inside if at all. If he is worry of that then he might stay on the outside and run around, avoid the humiliation of being blown up in pieces, and waits to collect the pay check on a points lose. That way he stays relevant in the heavy weight scene.
    He knows AJ has a better inside game of the two. But also knows that if stays on the outside of a AJ's jab there is a possibility of losing on points bse AJs has a longer reach to trouble him but thats a better lose than a KO this early at heavy weight.

  • @lewiswilliams7641
    @lewiswilliams7641 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    You lot gonna be shocked when Joshua outboxes Usyk easy before knocking him out. Don’t be surprised if Usyk doesn’t win a single round. Joshua won’t let him get his range and keeps him on the end of his jab for 4/5 rounds before Usyks forced to take chances. Once Usyk starts opening up he’s getting slept with the straight right.

    I love Usyk. But Usyk gets hit in all his fights. He is not as illusive as people make out. Although I want him to win, I just think AJ is too good on the inside to allow Usyk to want to be in close. And darting in and out from afar will be too difficult to maintain all night without some of those rounds going to AJ because of his height and reach.

    • @DrRepper
      @DrRepper 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I've been saying this for months. The assumption that AJ has to KO Usyk to win legitimately is silly. AJ will win the first half of the fight by at least 2 rounds at a canter. It's then up to Usyk to chase the fight, and he'll end up either walking onto something big or leaving it too late to properly commit and lose on the cards fairly comfortably. There's a reason for divisions in boxing: the sport gets a lot easier when you're bigger than the other guy.

    Joshua by a controversial UD is my prediction. We may see a rematch.
    Very good fight, will it be a war or a tactical match? It could be a potensial fight of the year candidate. I think it will be a tactical match. In this era we have so much talent, good fights and controversial fights, this will probably be another one. The best thing Joshua can do here in my opinion is go to the body, use his jab, move, use his uppercuts in close and also half range.
    That will slow Usyk down. If he has Usyk hurt he should put it on. Joshua is probably coming in light, that will be good.

  • @boxngmenu5416

    I think the fact he has a rematch clause.. will give him enough confidence to go for it and grab the bull by the horns. Knowing that even if he was to fall short.. there's always that rematch clause. I reckon he takes him on the 9th round.

    Usyk's weight is a big factor here. Even at cruiser, he was a slow starter. Michael Hunter, Mairis Breidis and Tony Bellew all put HANDS on him before he got into a rhythm and started to take control of those fights. The difference was, though, fighting at 200lbs, he had the legs and stamina to move around for 12 rounds. I can't see him being able to do that as effectively if he's weighing 230. If Joshua cracks him early, hard enough for Usyk to realise he does not want to be taking those kind of shots, AJ may be able to keep him in enough of a shell to win a close decision. I'm saying AJ on points in a bit of a chess match fight.

    • @SworBeyE16
      @SworBeyE16 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I definitely agree Usyk is a slow starter. Then again, he’s been able to use that to his advantage. Guys like Bellew and Hunter thought they could go toe to toe with Usyk when in reality he was downloading information, working out his opponent and letting them tire out. The Bellew fight is probably the best example of Usyk doing this

    • @DrRepper
      @DrRepper 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see Joshua winning by decision, and I don't necessarily expect it to be all that close. With his size, combined with his style, Joshua is a terrible style matchup for Usyk. He is built to exploit all the things Usyk does least well. Just like Lopez v Lomachenko, AJ doesn't have to force the fight, just keep Usyk honest, and if the KO comes, it comes. Usyk absolutely does have to actively engage and take big risks to win rounds, and he'll be behind going into the 2nd half of the fight. Joshua by points or late stoppage.

    • @SworBeyE16
      @SworBeyE16 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DrRepper I'd argue its the other way around and Joshua will find Usyk a nightmare.
