Happy to hear, and thank you for letting me know 🤗 You can't really go wrong with it. Thank you! :) In general, it handles well in wind. I had two situations where it was so windy that in one situation the drone was so heavily shaking in the air that the gimbal wasn't able to smooth out the footage any more. But it was really strong winds. And in another situation it was also very windy, almost stormy, where I (irresponsibly) let the drone fly against the stormy wind in sports mode, full throttle. After around 20 seconds I got a "battery overcurrent" warning which made the drone uncontrollable for 1 or 2 minutes, it was just hovering in the air and then descend to a few meters over the sea, there it stopped and hovered again until I regained control. That was a frightening experience, but I'd really say that the wind was way to strong to fly any type of consumer drones. Maybe an Air 2S or a Mavic 3 would have handled a little better, but flying a consumer drone in these conditions is a tightrope walk regardless of the model. So all in all, very happy with the wind performance if you consider the small size and weight :)
Nossa extraordinário e magnífico. Que paisagem é lugares lindos de se ver, eu amei de verdade. Parabéns sempre, um grande abraço daqui do Brasil. São Paulo. Nelson.

I don't know the mavic pro, but I'm sure you'll be more than happy with it :) And I just realised that I have subscribed to your channel a few weeks ago after I had stumbled upon your Dolomites video a few weeks ago. In August this year I had been to the Dolomites myself again (for the fifth time, I think). Great little film, I really like it, especially the personal elements :) I had my Mini 3 with me, so I'm going to publish a video about it within the next few weeks or months 🙂
Some beautiful work, grading and the sound mixing is lovely! While I'm sure you're keen to showcase the drone, I feel every shot showing obvious movement is a little overkill, and you could have done with just using the movement of your subject to provide the visual interest from time to time as well - just a thought :)
Hi Michaelangelo! Thank you very much for your positive feedback. I really appreciate it! You're probably right - I am pretty new to drone flying/filming and that made me very enthusiastic about all the different drone moves one can do, not considering that it could be potentially distracting. Thanks again :)
Truly beautiful scenery and drone work! Would love to know how you managed to make these faster paced up or downward pans without getting much motion blur and keeping everything super sharp. Did you film in a slightly higher shutter speed than 1/50?
Hi, thanks for your feedback :) Half the work was done by the beautiful scenery ;) If you can tell me which clips you are talking about, I'd be happy to provide you with more detail :)
@@t0mwhazzup Hi Tom, thanks for getting back to me. I actually meant tilt not pan shots, sorry. I'm talking about the ones at 00:34-00:37, 4:50-04:53 and especially 05:15-05:18 They all just look incredibly sharp and blur free despite the quick speed of the tilt. Thought you might've used some special settings for either frame rate or shutter speed to pull that off :)
@@KJo21392 No "special" settings per se, but I think I can help you out there. I hope it's not too in depth, but I think all of the following is relevant. Short version (HowTo): 1.) Capture the footage in 30p and put it in a 30p timeline. Not 24p or 25p. You could theoretically also use 60p, but this looks way less cinematic/film-like, so I'd personally stick to 30p. Why not 24/25p? Read long explanation below, if interested. 2.) Shutter speed around double the frame rate - you already know that I assume. So, for 30p, 1/60 would be ideal, a little bit below or above does not really matter in my opinion. The three clips you mentioned (in that order) have exposure times of 1/50, 1/80, 1/30. Long version (explanation): Ad 1.) This is really the most important part - even if many pros say otherwise (!!). For videos that are viewed mainly on 60 Hz screens (like computer displays, smartphones etc. - more or less all consumer devices today), you have to use 30 fps (or 60 fps, but that looks more like live sports than film) in order to get it smooth and judder-free. You have to capture the footage in 30 fps and put it in a 30 fps project timeline. Any other framerate (like "cinematic" 24p or PAL-standard 25p) will give you juddering movement (google "3:2 pulldown" if you want more in-depth information). That becomes especially obvious in footage that involves large and even pan and tilting movements (like drone footage). Other types of video might get away with 24/25p looking smooth because there is less even and large movement involved, but the principle theoretically applies to all kinds of footage. The misconception to use 24p for cinematic videos is based on cinema movies being mostly recorded in 24p, BUT the difference is, they are also played back on cinema projectors that have a refresh rate of 48 or 96 Hz for example (24 goes even in 48/96 which makes it judder-free). When you intend to present your videos on TH-cam (i.e. smartphones, computers), 24p cannot play back judder-free and smooth. The same applies to 25p as it does not go evenly into 60 Hz. It cannot be played back smoothly on a 60 Hz display. 25p is commonly used in PAL area for broadcast - this was the standard here because it avoids flickering artificial lighting (which flickers at 50 Hz because of the electricity frequency). If you use 30p to get smooth drone footage, you just have to take care to not have artificial lights in your shot, otherwise they might flicker. But there is also a solution for that: Keep your exposure time to either 1/50 or 1/100. For drone footage though, this is mostly not relevant because there's rarely artificial lights involved. Just keep it in mind in case you need it. Ad 2.) Guess there's not much explanation needed as you seem to know the 180 degree shutter rule (exposure time is ideally twice the frame rate). I always deviate a little bit from that if necessary to get the perfect exposure. That is, exposing as bright as possible without overexposing the important parts in the video. Which, in turn, reduces noise in your footage. Generally I put on an ND filter that gives me that "perfect" exposure time of around 1/50 oder 1/60 (180° shutter), but as you can see I also use 1/30 or 1/80 or even 1/100 if necessary. When you get to 1/100 or above, I notice that the footage gets (dependent on the type and speed of movement) a little bit unsmooth, so, generally I prefer to go rather towards 1/30 (360° shutter) which makes the footage look a little more blurry and dreamy. Here is important to keep in mind that the main subject of your shot should not move too much in the frame (e.g. a seastack you orbit around) in order to stay sharp. Only the border of the frame where the landscape passes by gets blurry and that's okay. I hope that everything was clear. I'd really encourage you to try out to capture your drone videos in 30p if you're not already using it - but remember that you also need to put it in a 30p project timeline and export it in 30p to get it play back smoothly. If you see the difference and the advantages vs 24/25p and therefore start to use 30p in the future, don't worry, you can still use your old 24/25p drone footage. You just have to adjust the speed to 125% (for 24p) or 120% (for 25p) in order to be played back judder-free. So it's played back a little bit faster than original which should not be that much of a problem for drone footage. But it's played back smoothly. I really have been wanting to make a video about that topic for a few months now, because almost nobody seems to know this, not even the "cinematic pros" on YT and everybody else talking after them. Only time is the limiting factor for me right now to make that video, but maybe I can pull it off in the near future. If you are interested in that, I'd be happy for you to subscribe and hit the bell so that you get noticed when time has come. But I have some other videos going on right now, so to be honest, it might be a little bit from now. If you have any further questions, just let me know and I'll happily try to answer them if I can.
@@t0mwhazzup Apologies for the late reply and honestly thank you so very much Tom for taking the time to so clearly writing out and explaining everything around frame rate/shutter speed! Hola Fabian! Thank you very much for appreciating the work I put into this film :) I think you are talking about tilting speed? In general, it handles well in wind.
São Paulo. Nelson.
Obrigado, Nelson!
Cornwall it is a great place, amazing video 👏 👏 well done 👍. Subscribed 😊. Together we are stronger 💪

Such depth in these shots and the colors are gorgeous. Great work!
Thank you very much for your kind words :) The scenery itself was stunning, so it was an easy thing to do :)
WOW!! Congrats for the film. Magnific
Thank you so much!
I just got one of these drones as a surprise from my wife. Haven't had a chance to take it somewhere interesting yet, but thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks for your kind feedback! And what a nice present! Be good to your wife, she seems to be a keeper 😊
Great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you 🤗
Very nice , I have this drone and also live in Cornwall but will be a while before I get anywhere near shots like these
Thank you, Dave! You live in an amazing place to get stunning aerial videos. Just go out and practice - when I filmed this video, I had only 1 month of drone experience. If I can do it, you can do it, too!
Excellent editing and music choices. I’ve used some of the same music too. It’s very unsatisfying to see cinematic aerials with techno-pop. Best wishes.
Thank you very much for your kind words :) Yes, it might depend on the location but I couldn't imagine any of the clips with techno-pop either ;)
Well done m8!
Thanks a lot 😃
Can't imagine how many flights it took for your to create this great video! Well done! 👏
Need to visit Southwest of England again with my drone to take some epic shots! 😎
Quite a few 🙂 I drove around there for 10 days and captured the clips 😎
Thank you vers much for your feedback, I really appreciate it 🙂

Great shots! Love the dji Drones!
Thank you Nico. The Mini 3 is my first one and I couldn't be happier with it :)
@@t0mwhazzup right now I’m owning the mavic pro. But I’ll buy the mini 3 pro🙏
Great little film, I really like it, especially the personal elements :)
I had my Mini 3 with me, so I'm going to publish a video about it within the next few weeks or months 🙂

Fantastic video - Kudos! For someone relatively new to drone filming, you've taken to it like a duck to water. Very smooth and professional.
I am very happy to hear that.. thank you very much, highly appreciated ☺️
Absolutely Stunning 😍

Happy that it reminds you of your time in Cornwall. It's really nice there. I hope you enjoy your upcoming trip there as well :)
Nice work!!
Sean, thank you very much. Happy you enjoyed watching it 🙂
Wow…awesome💪💪
Thank you very much! ☺️
Wow...nice footage☺
Thank you very much 🙂
Some beautiful work, grading and the sound mixing is lovely!
Great video sir, very well done.
Thank you very much, Bob!
Truly beautiful scenery and drone work! Would love to know how you managed to make these faster paced up or downward pans without getting much motion blur and keeping everything super sharp. Did you film in a slightly higher shutter speed than 1/50?
Hi, thanks for your feedback :) Half the work was done by the beautiful scenery ;)
If you can tell me which clips you are talking about, I'd be happy to provide you with more detail :)
Short version (HowTo):
1.) Capture the footage in 30p and put it in a 30p timeline.
Long version (explanation):
Ad 1.)
This is really the most important part - even if many pros say otherwise (!!).
Ad 2.)
Guess there's not much explanation needed as you seem to know the 180 degree shutter rule (exposure time is ideally twice the frame rate).
That was super insightful and I've already spent lots of time reading about 3:2 pulldown, of which I had no idea prior to you mentioning it. Everything you've mentioned was super useful and certainly not widely talked about, so having a dedicated video on it would absolutely be a huge service to the video/filming community :) Thanks again for having taken so much time to write all your previous replies. I really appreciate it!
@@KJo21392 No worries, thank you for your feedback! :) I'll keep the video idea in my head and hopefully will have the time to make it soon. Does anybody know where the house at 1:50 is located? What a beauty 🤩🤩
It's in Fowey
Amazing shots! This entire video looks so high end 👏🏼. Would be cool if you added your setup in the description like are you using ND filters (which ones), are you shooting standard or log?, fps 💯 4K60 😂, that pan up speed setting is it set to minimum?
Hola Fabian! Thank you very much for appreciating the work I put into this film :) I think you are talking about tilting speed? That's set to 10° per second, but I am thinking about setting it even lower. Right now I use ND filters from Skyreat, but I guess you can use any that give you the right shutter speed. Filmed in D-Cinelike and 4K30. If you want more information on how I get the shots so smooth, please scroll down in the comments here, I answered this to a user named "KJo" very extensively. I am also thinking about a tutorial video about this because this question has been coming up a few times already and I think I have all the technical knowledge to provide good explanation. If you are interested in that, I'd be happy for you to subscribe and hit the bell so that you get noticed when I release this video. It will take some time, though, as this is just a hobby for me.
