  • Protecting Azure Virtual Machines (VMs), especially your mission-critical virtual machines is very important. The datacenter can go down or there could be service interruptions. You want to have strong Business Continuity plan set up in place. In this video we check out how to set up Disaster Recovery (DR) leveraging Azure Recovery Services Vault service. Azure Site Recovery or ASR is the underlying service that provides the active replication of the VM from primary region to secondary region. Get hands-on and practical knowledge and see how to set this up as well as how to perform Failovers in case of a disaster event.

Your videos are very simple to understand. So far I have not seen from anybody else. Please make video for all the services. Going through Azure documentation is time consuming,

After failover to another region, do we need to make any changes to already configured Azure Backup / Azure log analytics ? Pls clarify

After failover to a different region, Azure Backup will not work as it works for resources in the same region only. You will need to configure a new Recovery Services resource in the target region and will have to reconfigure the backup. Usually Recovery Services Vault is setup as part of the DR preparation. The Backup configurations can be updated using the Recovery Plan when performing the failover.
Azure Log analytics only depends on the agent inside the VM (called MMA agent), so depending upon the setup and configuration, it can work. Although, it is also recommended to keep a secondary on standby in the target region. This ensures that if Log Analytics service goes down in the source region then you are ready to DR that as well by running few simple scripts i.e. updating the target for MMA agents.
I hope this clarifies your question.
