I don't always check my yard. I have had neighbors tell me about fallen tree limbs from a storm a week ago. Also, a poorly built (and probably illegal) deck can be put up in less than an afternoon if you already have all the materials already staged out.
Christmas in Korea: OP needs to tell her mom to shut up if she wants to see or have anything to do with OP ever again. One grumble to ANYONE starts this rule.
U should have taken a picture of her Van's license plate and a pic of her and them make a police report and then bill hercforcthe reseeding of the grass twice and ticketed for destroying country public property
Should have told the police she admitted to driving in the park while texting, which would have resulted in them giving her, at a minimum, arrest for reckless endangerment, as there were children around, and with her failing to notice a boulder, that could easily have been a fatal accident with a child.
Nta. You didn't damage her car. Em is the idiot who tried to run over a huge boulder. Have her arrested for criminal damage to property. Also she admitted to texting and driving
XMAS story: that OP's mom was accusing the (future?) MIL of manipulating her into going to Korea for XMAS...*while* Mom, herself, was trying to manipulate OP into staying for XMAS.
In the deck story, op said that the sounds from Karen building her deck kept getting closer and closer. He also said that when she asked her if everything was ok, he said that her voice seemed closer than usual. I call bogus. Her voice and the noises of the deck wouldn’t have just been closer, they would be so loud that he would CLEARLY hear her in his backyard! Now, let’s pretend that he had a large yard, he would have still noticed that something was off and her voice would DEFINITELY not have sounded in HER own yard. Plus the fact that he magically just NEVER went into his own backyard, ( he couldn’t have because he never saw the deck )then at the end of the story, he was sitting on it.
My niece in law is half South Korean. Her mother and family love Christmas. My niece loves all American and Christian holidays. Our Korean in-laws are Christian.
Homeowners stating that property lines are moved, is a little ridiculous. Hard to believe anyone tries to get away with doing this. I would expect that the survey office would have notified any homeowner that their property line had been changed. #2: Why didn't park worker get license number and report her to park supervisor and sue for grass replacement after first or second time she damaged grass. #3 - One small confrontation would not encourage me to spend $40 more a month for a reserved parking spot.
That poor girl in the last story. My mother is very similar. She has pitched screaming fits about how I've "left her all alone on Christmas" (we saw her on Xmas day instead of Xmas eve) and similar nonsense for years. I don't enjoy Christmas anymore. There's no magic left in it. Don't listen to her manipulative bullshit. Go enjoy Christmas with your fiance.
it takes so much effort to get & own property, to have someone come along just up and claim property, you got to take it by every angle, don't just sit with "trespass' but came at it with destruction of private property, theft of property, forgery, disorderly ect
Good God how dim can a person be, there is massive population of Christian Koreans in Korea. Nearly 30% of Koreans identify as some form of Christian. OP in the story needs to show her mom how to use Google.
How did OP not notice a deck on his property, until it was done?
Further, making a ruckus in court is contempt charges which takes a person directly to jail, not passing "GO," and fining $200!
My first thought as well. Sounds like just juvenile fiction.

Poorly written fake news
OP was in Narnia
OP needs to show her(?) mother pictures of the public Christmas displays. They look incredible!

Nta. She caused damage that didnt need to happen and her entitled behind shouldn't be driving
Story 2: the driver could be arrested for DUI...
She was certainly stoned

Thank you for that pun.
I love it.😂
I personally am a little bit petty so I probably would have built a small gazebo in the backyard
I have had neighbor disputes two different times before we moved to a nicer neighborhood and both times we got got them arrested.
"This piece of paper that i've made myself and printed out says that your land now belong to me" - Karen
Nta. It is never a waste of money to visit south korea

The mother sound like my aunt's MIL. You have be at her place for Christmas no matter what your SO's family is doing.

Nta. The survey is fake and property lines dont just get moved

Would have called the city then get a property survey which she would be paying for

Reserved parking story: another duplicate...

Too bad there wasn't a recording of the entitled mom, confessing that she didn't see the boulder because she was texting while driving.
he should have built the fence out of sement 12 feet tall.
They were in the back yard gardening and did not see a deck?
Funny how most of the stories it reads start the same way. I think the AI accidently started reading stories written by another AI.....
You are an adult, do your own thing for Christmas. Mother needs to respect you have a life.
