Derek my friend your videos are perfect mate. Who ever is complaining about your videos are full of crap mate how can someone complain about your videos after all that effort you put in to educate people. Your videos have helped me alot with my course thank you very much sir.👏👍
The video was brilliant regarding flueless appliances, very useful information for us trainees as we can always refer to your videos for brushing up our knowledge, thanks derek.👍👍😀
Great video. Lots of information and all really well explained. Was nice to see those tests carried out on the cooker/grill/oven. Interesting. Good work Derek. Much appreciated 👍🏻 Asian Jon. Training.
I have to say, I don't really care how long your videos are. As long as you get all the information across. If that takes 10 minutes or 60 minutes then that's what it take 👍👍 Great and informative
Excellent video again Derek, Flueless appliances explained all in one video. Can you do one on Bs numbers e.g Bs 5440 etc. For different appliances? Abdi
Hi first of all thank you for this amaizing platform , Which probe type should we use when we do flue analyse for flueless instantaneous single point water heater? how can we analyse flueless instantaneous single point water heater?
I see this is an older video but what's you're thoughts if no openable window or extraction but perhaps an opening door like a French door in a new build for example, as far as I'm aware opening window is a building reg I.e for removal of cooking products and not to assist with combustion
Great video derek your a very knowledgable guy. Would be interested to know your thoughts regarding regulation 26 (9) on a housing associations landlord gas service where the landlords owns the room sealed boiler only and tenants owns flueless gas cooker and flueless gas fire how in depth would the checks be on the tenants own appliances to cover 26(9) Thanks Andy
On a landlords report you only inspect the landlords appliances and note the other appliances. But according to igem/ g/11 appendix 5 you must inspect the appliances you encounter so you would have to check ventilation etc so that’s the minimum I would do
Flueless gas fires are A. a minefield of regulations B. Involve material additional costs above the appliance cost. As a secondary heat source what is the point of even considering such an appliance . It's a no brainer If the customer requires a fuel effect fire, the only sensible advice is go electric!! A room sealed appliance pretty much takes out third party involvement. To summarise, even if you install to the letter, there are too many opportunities for third parties to compromise the installation. All in all ,all things said flueless fires don't make sense!!! But hey ho , it's your choice and ultimately responsibility.
I have been studying to become a gas engineer and your videos are helping a lot. So thank you so much for all the videos. If you can, could you please use a decent mic while recording the videos. Thank you

Hi first of all thank you for this amaizing platform , Which probe type should we use when we do flue analyse for flueless instantaneous single point water heater? how can we analyse flueless instantaneous single point water heater?
You use the l probe to analyse the water heater and you just hold it over the flue of the water heater
@@tomkatgastraining Thank you very much...

I do but get a lot of interference from the phone mask on the roof or the centre
@@tomkatgastraining ok, thank you, it’s just because there is a sizzling sound sometimes, but not a big deal.
Cheers boss mohammed ali
Hi, what’s the difference between a room and internal space for questions on space heaters?
Room is living or dining and an internal space is hallway or landing
Could you do a video on doing a flow rate and temperature rise ?
Check out our video on boiler commission you will find it there 👍🏻
@@tomkatgastraining thanks my man🙌🏻

Hi mate.
How do you test the room air while you are not in the room?
With the flue gas analyser
@@tomkatgastraining so do you put the fga, running, on a tripod or something, and go in and out the room every minute?
@@stoosam3244 the analyser dose the reading for you so no need to keep going in the room
