What a video and fish to start your TH-cam career! Really tested your nerve and tackle to the limit. Loved the style and feel of the video. Very genuine and enjoyable watch.
@@crankbaiter_fishing hahahahaha you saw my hands shaking when i picked him up didn't ya! ❤ That snag moment was a 6 episode anime arc where I recall all my training and videos I've watched. 😂😂
My goodness that was a rush. One of the most intense catches I've seen on film. Taking into account it was hauled in on such light tackle, that was a real challenge, no matter where it was hooked. You definitely have the makings of a great channel. Very interesting all around, much more so than the dime a dozen channels of the last five of so years!
Thank you so much for your words! It means alot. 😊 I got incredibly lucky from even being able to encounter this guy, to being able to land him. I'll definitely try to make more content as I'm still learning this whole space. Thank you for watching and sharing this experience with me! ❤
Yep it's fast action. Usually the ul/l telescopic are unable to be built like that which is why I was quite surprised. I did mention that in the video. But thank God I hit this guy on this rod. If it was any other softer rod, they wouldn't have had the backbone to yank him around. Also since I hooked him on the forehead, it would have even been harder to turn his head around. Can't believe my 0.3 and 6lb leader, and all my simple knots held up. Jeez.
You're right. At first I was too overcome with excitement and I couldn't really see the line. I did eventually when I realized I couldn't stay in one spot and he was heading for the brush. 😊
@@RicardoReview ah... I see what you mean! But I assure you the shoes have good grip and the soles are 5cm thick so it's pretty safe. I slipped due to the mud and it was a slope! But ty for the concern. ❤
@@mac-00001 I was lucky it was foul hooked where it was, my 6lb leader would have snapped if it touched his teeth! And I wasn't expecting it all, I was just pointing it out to the camera, which added to the adrenaline rush!
@@Sakana-ing Not only the french fries, also saucisson, croissant and baguette I've realized also that you have been blessed, PB on your 2nd video, big improve on the filming angle, we didn't lose a bit of the fight, the fight was very tense and keep us in high stress for you (I lived the thing with you bro 0n0), and you gloriously inaugurated your new telescopic rod! Wishing you the best Matthew :)

Beautiful fish - great catch! Don't think I'll ever buy a BFS combo after watching this lol
