    Hi, just wanted to say that these videos on hydraulic head, gradient etc. have helped me loads. Doing a hydrology course at university and we are just going through these topics extremely briefly. You throrough explanations have been a great help to actually understand these concepts.     The change is head is the static head? Or is it due to loss from friction?

      Richa, The total head gradient is measure of the energy lost due to friction from water flowing through the porous media. There will be a pressure head gradient under static conditions, but the total head gradient will be zero when the water is static. Larry

    Can you make a video on calculating all of the usual questions but through two and three different porous mediums? Had an assignment on this (horizontally and vertically) and i could use some of your straight talk and clear explanations.....
