With DJ’s podcast we see what the game announcers & TV shots totally missed!! Kinda makes you mad right? I see big things coming for DJ. Like broadcasting and color. DJ will analyze and fill in the stuff that WE don’t see and then bring THAT to life. Great job.
I think this is the game where taylen showed the most maturity and growth from the last game with his throws and progressions and maybe also some defensive coaching maturity (even though it’s been almost amazing all year) with the exotic blitz packages we picked up from last week

What I like about this professional style breakdown is it lets me see things in a different way. Being a baseball guy I never learned football at this depth. It’s very eye opening and helps me understand the game even better.

O line has got to get better. And they have gotten some better, but still needs improving. But to handle Tennessee on both sides of the ball like they did is impressive. Good stuff man, your show is top notch!

I was listening to college gametime on Spotify this morning and they were discussing Vanderbilts offensive success. They credited the new schemes success with simplifying the offensive line assignments, so everyone knew what to do when they got to the line. They know they will not be able to recruit 4 star linemen so they make up lack of talent with easier line assignments. They run some type of pistol option so that helps.
Anyway, I was reminded of what you and Grant Cook kept saying on your show about being sure of your assignments before getting to the line and how much of a difference it makes.
You are creating a monster, I want a defensive lineman on sometime.

DJ - I heard another podcaster mention 4th & 5 a week ago and I’m like, Wait, What 4th & what? I backed it up and searched for the name and viola here I am 🎉! Good stuff my man. I watched your podcast on A&M and then reached out to my buddies who are Hogsters and told them they gotta watch you. You bring the plays to life and show us why we failed but how we looked good. Also the misses - what needs to be corrected that will propel us to next level production. It’s baffling that Taylen on the shorter easier passes, he is either not seeing what he needs to do or misinterprets the timing of the route? But on those longer throws he was dropping dimes like “huh, no big deal”. But one would think BP will get that fixed for LSU and Texas! Right?
If he does then there's no telling what we can do this year!

I have been saying this for weeks. The number one thing that has been haunting Arkansas is Taylan‘s accuracy and getting the ball out on time. He holds the ball way too long and gets himself in trouble. This causes sacks. It causes holding calls it causes turnovers.
The TN podcasters are saying the same thing about their QB. Heard it over and over.

Having a healthy QB competition going into a week 7 bye is awesome. I think it’s really gonna help Taylen grow as a player making him stay polished, and earn that starting position. He won it in the springtime, so he can do it again. He can do it again, right….?

Big time. T Will’s D confused the TN QB for sure. And our secondary - Wow - in the right place at the right time. Batting & swatting away passes while staying off the receivers. Next level stuff. That shows what type of athletes they are. And Sorey was harassing the entire game. Proud of our D.
Very good disection of the QB moves. Studying you comments and implementing your suggestions should raise the standard to a higher level in efficiency and points on thr board.
As for now, the most important thing is thr QB has reduced running with the ball, and more recievers and RB's were given the chance to contribute. The locker room situation should become more cordial and harmonious.

Sounds like TG will be out of practice for a couple weeks regardless of the severity of the MCL injury. I feel much better about the backup QB this year than I have in a long time!
Could you break down Singleton's play towards the end of the game?
A good throw to Sategna for 13. Handoff to Russell for 24. Handoff to Russell for 11. Tennessee lets Singleton run it in from the 11 for the TD.... Russell's 2 runs sealed the deal. He took it from the Vols 46 to the 11. Singleton got the praise, Russell did the work. That's the breakdown.

I was but just feel like it's hard to ask a quarter to know when there is going to be a bust on the defensive side of the ball before the snap. I believe Teslaa was the last option in the progression and that's why he didn't look that.... he did how ever have Armstrong open and just missed the throw

Looks like that. Of course we don’t see what he’s seeing but, yes, I would love to see those “Tom Brady” type drives that eat clock and frustrate the D. Just marching down the field and just owning the sticks. Plus it keeps their D on the field and tiring them out. Then Taylen can pop a long one to Armstrong, Teslaa or Satnegna.
