It is insane to me, that for a show like the simpsons that always try to get back to status quo, made the Dog a member of the family ever since. The "Story of how the Simpsons got their Dog" is not a Flashback, it is a full blown episode. I really like this.
The story of Bongo really hits home for me, because my childhood dog was an Australian Cattle Dog who had a habit of “herding” neighborhood kids. Sadly, Calvin and I parted ways the same way Homer and Bongo did, with him going to a family friend who could provide him with the environment he needed.
i can relate to this too! pre covid, I bought a maltese dog who was a great companion and so affectionate, but because everyone was busy at work, we couldn't be at home most of the time to care for him, and we didn't have anyone to look after our dog when we go on holidays, my father made the sad choice to let him go to an elderly couple. That couple was recovering from grief after one of their previous dogs, also an elderly dog, died from cancer, so we gave them our dog who could be as compassionate to them as he was to us.
I always liked that Homer enjoys reading and is seen reading through the show. An interesting aspect to the “dumb” character. Shows a lot to his character and strangely makes total scene
i remember watching the bart get's an f episode as a kid and i cried because i fully understood bart, i was always kind of the black sheep of the family and in school i was only good at english and math and was also the only kid who could read very well and fast and also write BUT since my native language is greek and i grew up in a german household and also watched an arabic channel plus watching disney channel nickelodeon etc in english, when i was around 3-4 i had a BIG PROBLEM talking greek because you would hear me speak kinda both german english greek and threw in some arabic words. so in third grade in every spelling test or any test for greek i would be getting a really bad grade even when i tried reading all day i just couldn't do it
They are having their last episode Sunday sorry y’all (because they are getting tired of it and millhouse’s voice actor is quitting which means that’s more characters gone because she voices more characters then just him)
I'm a little disappointed in the episode where Grampa meets a woman in the home only to have her die a few weeks later. Otherwise, it's a good compilation!

Not just that, its the first episode. Santa has also appeared in more episodes than 90% of characters
