Yes, and it'll somehow play a canonical role in this amazing crafted storyline that was never good to begin with because this game wasn't made with the intention to take itself seriously enough for a story, especially 5 seasons in the development of the game
I believe if they want to add bullet drop, please only leave if for scope weapons . For example, a regular AR should be hit scanned, and if you want to add a scope to that, AR, the bullet would now have bullet drop
I definitely think chapter 6 is really an apology to us after chapter 5, they are actually listening to the community and going back to a more cartoony art style, and also I love this because it looks like a cross between ch1s9 and ch4s2 along with all- new stuff. I am happy the decorations (like THE DURR BURGER RETURNING) are actually cartoony again and not bland realistic Italian and European structures. I understand that they have to advance the game every chapter and make a big difference to the art style, but I am glad they realized it doesnt have to look like COD
I don’t think that’s entirely true, odds are that Epic was already mostly done with the planning for CH5 and when (on a whim) they decided to do OG, probably to stall for time for CH5 and all its changes, they saw how much people adored the style of OG fortnite, I mean you don’t have a roadmap for seasons without knowing how it’ll look and function, then when CH5 released and they saw the backlash to it and finalized the decision to go back to form so to say
Fortnite players are showing they dont know what realistic looks like because Chapter 5 does not even look like COD if your gonna say it looks realistic then it better look like COD or Battlefield.
I think OG is going to become sort of like a practice mode for new players to learn the basics and to give old players a good experience that don’t care for newer Fortnite and Chapter 6 can be a newer experience that newer players can move onto once they learn the basics
I think Fortnite OG OG will have that “2 week Minecraft phase” effect where people will get on and play it a bunch and then get burnt out after a bit and get on again later. I think OG OG could be like the backup engine to core Fortnite, sort of like a fall back if the game starts to loose players. OG OG will never be the main mode but it will always be there to comfort the players when the core game is too much. It’s like sitting in bed watching a movie you loved since you were a child, sure you don’t watch it all the time but you still go back to it now and then to get some enjoyment or comfort.
I’ll be honest, I had been building up a lot of hope over Chapter 5 that the state of the game was improving and we were going to get back on track, but the end of Absolute Doom and start of Remix really shattered a lot of that hope for me. I still don’t have much of any faith in the storyline going forward, but a lot of the other aspects of the game are actually seeming really promising, so I’m feeling pretty good about things right now. Thanks for all the great content this year Klarque, looking forward to what’s next!
Considering how much buildup there was throughout chapter 5 I'm pretty sure Charlie Wen wanted to have an epic conclusion to chapter 5 but was essentially pushed aside by higher ups at epic games who care more about collabs than telling an original story, and thus we got the prelude "event" as well as the most blatant cash grab in fortnite history. It's really a shame, because the storyline has potential, but is kinda screwed over by being under the authority of a company like epic games.
Chapter Six will be like this: if you want no mythics and old school play you have OG. If you want old school gameplay AND mythics you have Reload. If you want melee and non-gun weapons and running around the entire map jumping on players there is "BR".
Eh, they really only have 4 or 5 gameodes since rocket racing is completely dead and lego is not doing so hot. Plus, og will probably bring alot of players back. @@Gingersdad

My dream for the katana would be a feature where if both players have a katana, and you time it right, you can cancel the other katana attack with a cool little animation. Would be a way to recreate those awesome anime battles.
Chapter 6 feels like a huge apology. I’m hoping chapter 6 just feels like an improved chapter 4. I didn’t play chapter 4, because I didn’t like it. But the potential was massive. Augments seem like an insane improvement to the game if handled correctly, and just all the weapons and bosses, and mythics, and movement were amazing. From what I’ve seen, chapter 4’s loot pool clears, without any competition. I’m so excited for chapter 6, because of what it could be. Even the worst that chapter 6 could be still has me excited. They better not f**k it up.

I hope we get a Half Life collab one day when Epic finally accepts that Valve will always be better than them. I want a Black Mesa POI during a season with a desert biome. It would have made sense to happen on Chapter 5 Season 3 but I’m really glad it didn’t.

Improvement doesn't come out of nowhere. Epic have proven their resistance to criticism time and time again. There is no reason to expect differently this time, especially since Chapter 6 most likely began development far before Chapter 5's criticism was voiced.

remix was fun, it was the first time since OG that me and my friends made good memories in the game, and I liked the doggpound (still not as good as Agency but still ok) and the Spaghetti Grotto is one of my favorite collab locations since Gothan City and Stark Industries

Personally this is the first Fortnite season that I haven’t had fun playing after 7 years of me playing this game for a multitude of reasons but mainly every time I finish a match the boredom I feel is way way too intense and I do something else. But this season isn’t only for me so as long as other people enjoyed it then I’m happy too! I hope you have fun in the event and chapter 6!

Hopefully they bring back the cabin and cover the WHOLE map in snow just like in s7 and ch3s1. and yes you are right this season was littered with bots and winning doesnt feel rewarding because even when you hot drop grotto or agency you can barely find any real players and by the time you do you didnt have enough practice so you die to sweats.

From the chapter 6 key art that got released it definitely will be, the colors look way more bright and vibrant compared to chapter 5 and in the top right corner next to godzilla you can see terrian that looks very similar to chapter 4@@ARHAANTALWAAR

I actually have to wonder how many people play on PC versus console, because as a console player another thing to account for with bullet drop is that the aim assist and general stick-focused mechanics (especially for an Xbox player like me who lacks gyro) seriously _do nothing_ for helping compensate for bullet drop. Even if I fought some other controller player who was using the Hover Jets, if they had them I wasn't hitting jack unless they flew directly at me, which is how I won one game when I also got the jets. It felt like a miserable decision all around.
I recently got my switch onto a blue screen because I was mad at the game and just got a new switch and now I want to enjoy chapter 6 no matter what because at the end of the day, you play games to have fun.
16:00 honestly I think Epic is just showing the player base why bringing it back like that is a bad idea. So many people have been begging for this, so they’re gonna silence the haters by bringing the exact OG experience side-by-side with the best their modern team has to offer.
As a new player to Fortnite who started in Chapter 5 Season 1, I'm excited to see if they improve upon Chapter 5 stuff cause I liked a lot of it. I'm gonna miss my first island (Chapter 2 map feels really empty and flat to me.)

W video, I can’t wait for next season/ chapter, this Japanese theme season seems to be my type of season, cuz I’ve been very invested in Japanese culture, and popular animes recently, (even with me that went on a Japan trip last month for a week btw). And as a Chapter 2 player who started in season 2, I’m excited to try an era that I never got to experience along with double pump and the 10 seasons of update and content. I’m so hyped for legendary Godzilla and baymax in chapter 6 plus I hope that kong and scar king will be with legendary Godzilla as skins because they do fit with legendary Godzilla and I love the Japan theme of the chapter

In Ch4 the Star Wars cooperation was done well, and it was in the mega city season bc of the 4th May. In Chapter 5 they did also for the Star Wars day, but it was much worse. Great Video btw

you know what if the open world mode comes out thats where bullet drop and mods can go i would feel that would be a great spot for more realistic mechanics
I think medallions worked best when there was 5 of them in C5S1, because as they lessened the problem with medallions which it created objectively better drops that become way less relevant in the next season. Think the megalodon POI, a hotspot in C5S3 but feels almost soulless in C5S4. I much prefered the augment system of CH4 where every player had access to those unique tools.
Chapter 6 will “save” fortnite for a while, until pros and casuals alike complain about different things, the map is boring, events suck, and themes fall flat. Then people get tired of the season and the chapter, and we go in a cycle
It's honestly going to be a clear hit for epic because if you don't enjoy Battle Royale then you get OG fortnite. And if you don't enjoy OG fortnite or Battle Royale, you can play Lego. And if you don't enjoy Lego you can play rocket racing but no one plays that... Festival is probably better honestly 🗿 (And reload)
Nah I think Chapter 5 outside of season 1 was pretty good…. The map we had at the end of the chapter was one of my favorites and I loved items like the Avatar items and Magneto gloves. Fortnitemares this time was also one of the best! In a few years people will look back and miss it…
I for sure won’t be missing it at all. I play the game for vibrant graphics and hitscan guns. Avatar items were cool but shouldn’t have replace the Greek items. Magneto gloves were too strong and the Mets revolved around it when it was in the game.
My main thing with chap 4s story. It never felt like the characters were doing much and actually affecting the story in some way. Not until season 4 to og to chap 5. Most seasons of chap 4 was a ride. Not a good ride. But a ride. Chap 5 had a much better story as characters were affecting the story like the writing is supposed to do in the first place. Have the characters interact and do a “cause and effect” of the story. Valeria opened Pandora’s box as she wanted knowledge. Zeus got angry and wanted to eliminate every mortal. The underground humbled Zeus which had him charge the orb on the box in order to summon the wastelanders. Meggy wanted to destroy the island in half and rule it. However, the wanderer joined forces with him and gave meggy more nitro. In the end, meggy got stopped by his drug dealer and got revealed as dr doom. His motivation was to get pandoras power. Which goes back to Valeria. She could be seeking the box becuz dr doom told her about it. Cause and effect.
Chapter 6 needs to be at least 2 or 1.5 years long because epic is flying through their chapters and ideas and if it is it will have a potential of having millions of returning players and epic needs to up their game with more events like chapter 2 type but not too similar so like its not too noticeable Update: we need threats to the zero point again so it would be in its peak again because when Fortnite was like that it was actually reallt fun but also it got a tiny bit bland but if you ignored it you would feel more good about the chapter so thats why some chapter one and 2 seasons are highly rated overall epic needs to slow down and have more seasons
15:45 This only makes sense if you assume it is only based on nostalgia, which it isn't. People play CS Rust to this day. I have thousands of hours in CH1 and I can play that forever. The gameplay loop, the balancing, the map, the charm. No other chapter managed to recreate that. Fortnite changed so much; CH5 felt like a completely different game, a game that is not the one I fell in love with. I would have much preferred if Fortnite conitnued evolving while maintaining the classic gameplay loop and style, but that's not the case. As you said, CH6 will be make or break. If they continue in the same direction of CH5, thank God for OG, if they decide to bring the core gameplay back, I'll play both, but it doesn't seem to be the case, based on all the leaks we got.
I really just want collaborations that actually make sense within the season as opposed to being what it has been for a while in that they'll just throw anything they can get at the game when it doesn't belong in the game, case and point being Remix being an ad for rap music which nobody had wanted or Avatar ruining the theme of the Greek mythology season. A good example of what I am talking about is them for Chapter 6, Season 1, is them having Godzilla in Season 1 where it's Japanese themed. I hope that they can continue this with collaborations in that season that would fit like Tekken's Heihachi Mishima, Fatal Fury's Geese Howard, Mortal Kombat's Sub Zero & Scorpion, Killer Instinct's Jago, and a while card that would still fit within the season being The Arbiter from Halo who's accompanied by either The Covenant or Swords of Sanghelios. Of course though, they'll probably not do this and instead throw whoever shills them the most money into the game, regardless if it makes sense or not.

HITSCAN hits you behind trees the bullets turn!! They turn when you get behind something and the bullets go through walls/trees/rocks. Bring Bullet drop back! Come on that's how it's supposed to be. I feel Chapter 5 really lacked the absurdity of previous seasons. Im am interested for the potentual obsurditity of the next chapter. But i think it should also be said that the prolonged existance of chapter features should be encouraged. By that i mean that features like augments, mod attachments and upgrade benches should remain and not be removed once the chapter it existed in ended.
Everyone keeps saying "will this chapter save fortnite, will this chapter save fortnite, will this chapter save fortnite" is annoying. It doesn't matter in the end of the day. Each season will have pros and cons. Can't satisfy everyone. The game probably won't stay relevant and last forever either in the next 100 years. People will complain about something else. Its just a game.

That’s actually such a good way to put it, but aren’t you sure the sweats aren’t gonna be on the game mode too
@ well OG has a lot more op items and with the guns and other items the skill gap is lower so it should be easier to get kills on sweats

Improvement doesn't come out of nowhere. Epic have proven their resistance to criticism time and time again. There is no reason to expect differently this time, especially since Chapter 6 most likely began development far before Chapter 5's criticism was voiced.

remix was fun, it was the first time since OG that me and my friends made good memories in the game, and I liked the doggpound (still not as good as Agency but still ok) and the Spaghetti Grotto is one of my favorite collab locations since Gothan City and Stark Industries

Personally this is the first Fortnite season that I haven’t had fun playing after 7 years of me playing this game for a multitude of reasons but mainly every time I finish a match the boredom I feel is way way too intense and I do something else. @@faded4574 thank you and also I am still a little mad about the rapper pois but i think they are gonna do a ch2 OG in the future with actual shadow vs ghost and also the OG pois. but as someone who has been playing since ch1s4, I have to admit this was one of the weaker seasons, but ch6 seems like its going to have probably the best season 1 since ch3. Hopefully they bring back the cabin and cover the WHOLE map in snow just like in s7 and ch3s1. and yes you are right this season was littered with bots and winning doesnt feel rewarding because even when you hot drop grotto or agency you can barely find any real players and by the time you do you didnt have enough practice so you die to sweats.

I actually have to wonder how many people play on PC versus console, because as a console player another thing to account for with bullet drop is that the aim assist and general stick-focused mechanics (especially for an Xbox player like me who lacks gyro) seriously _do nothing_ for helping compensate for bullet drop. Even if I fought some other controller player who was using the Hover Jets, if they had them I wasn't hitting jack unless they flew directly at me, which is how I won one game when I also got the jets. It felt like a miserable decision all around.

I recently got my switch onto a blue screen because I was mad at the game and just got a new switch and now I want to enjoy chapter 6 no matter what because at the end of the day, you play games to have fun.

W video, I can’t wait for next season/ chapter, this Japanese theme season seems to be my type of season, cuz I’ve been very invested in Japanese culture, and popular animes recently, (even with me that went on a Japan trip last month for a week btw). And as a Chapter 2 player who started in season 2, I’m excited to try an era that I never got to experience along with double pump and the 10 seasons of update and content. 8:29 there’s actually a Star Wars series called Star Wars Visions which was originally all Japanese based anime episodes made by Japanese studios and I think some of them coming over like the Jedi from the Village Bride episode or the Ronin episode could work as a collaboration because it’s still technically on theme. I do think it should stick to fully Japanese collaborations though
In Ch4 the Star Wars cooperation was done well, and it was in the mega city season bc of the 4th May. In Chapter 5 they did also for the Star Wars day, but it was much worse. Great Video btw

I think medallions worked best when there was 5 of them in C5S1, because as they lessened the problem with medallions which it created objectively better drops that become way less relevant in the next season. Think the megalodon POI, a hotspot in C5S3 but feels almost soulless in C5S4. I much prefered the augment system of CH4 where every player had access to those unique tools.
Chapter 6 will “save” fortnite for a while, until pros and casuals alike complain about different things, the map is boring, events suck, and themes fall flat. Then people get tired of the season and the chapter, and we go in a cycle
It's honestly going to be a clear hit for epic because if you don't enjoy Battle Royale then you get OG fortnite. And if you don't enjoy OG fortnite or Battle Royale, you can play Lego. And if you don't enjoy Lego you can play rocket racing but no one plays that... Festival is probably better honestly 🗿 (And reload)
Nah I think Chapter 5 outside of season 1 was pretty good…. The map we had at the end of the chapter was one of my favorites and I loved items like the Avatar items and Magneto gloves. Fortnitemares this time was also one of the best!

I for sure won’t be missing it at all. I play the game for vibrant graphics and hitscan guns. Avatar items were cool but shouldn’t have replace the Greek items. Magneto gloves were too strong and the Mets revolved around it when it was in the game.

I don't like the premiere composer transition sound effects. The transitions are fine but the sounds I don't really like.
My main thing with chap 4s story. It never felt like the characters were doing much and actually affecting the story in some way. Not until season 4 to og to chap 5. Most seasons of chap 4 was a ride. Not a good ride. But a ride.
Chap 5 had a much better story as characters were affecting the story like the writing is supposed to do in the first place. Have the characters interact and do a “cause and effect” of the story. Valeria opened Pandora’s box as she wanted knowledge.
Zeus got angry and wanted to eliminate every mortal. The underground humbled Zeus which had him charge the orb on the box in order to summon the wastelanders. Meggy wanted to destroy the island in half and rule it. However, the wanderer joined forces with him and gave meggy more nitro. In the end, meggy got stopped by his drug dealer and got revealed as dr doom. His motivation was to get pandoras power. Which goes back to Valeria. She could be seeking the box becuz dr doom told her about it. Cause and effect.
Chapter 6 needs to be at least 2 or 1.5 years long because epic is flying through their chapters and ideas and if it is it will have a potential of having millions of returning players and epic needs to up their game with more events like chapter 2 type but not too similar so like its not too noticeable
Update: we need threats to the zero point again so it would be in its peak again because when Fortnite was like that it was actually reallt fun but also it got a tiny bit bland but if you ignored it you would feel more good about the chapter so thats why some chapter one and 2 seasons are highly rated overall epic needs to slow down and have more seasons
15:45 This only makes sense if you assume it is only based on nostalgia, which it isn't. People play CS Rust to this day. I have thousands of hours in CH1 and I can play that forever. The gameplay loop, the balancing, the map, the charm. No other chapter managed to recreate that.
Fortnite changed so much; CH5 felt like a completely different game, a game that is not the one I fell in love with. I would have much preferred if Fortnite conitnued evolving while maintaining the classic gameplay loop and style, but that's not the case.
As you said, CH6 will be make or break. If they continue in the same direction of CH5, thank God for OG, if they decide to bring the core gameplay back, I'll play both, but it doesn't seem to be the case, based on all the leaks we got.

I really just want collaborations that actually make sense within the season as opposed to being what it has been for a while in that they'll just throw anything they can get at the game when it doesn't belong in the game, case and point being Remix being an ad for rap music which nobody had wanted or Avatar ruining the theme of the Greek mythology season. A good example of what I am talking about is them for Chapter 6, Season 1, is them having Godzilla in Season 1 where it's Japanese themed. I hope that they can continue this with collaborations in that season that would fit like Tekken's Heihachi Mishima, Fatal Fury's Geese Howard, Mortal Kombat's Sub Zero & Scorpion, Killer Instinct's Jago, and a while card that would still fit within the season being The Arbiter from Halo who's accompanied by either The Covenant or Swords of Sanghelios. Of course though, they'll probably not do this and instead throw whoever shills them the most money into the game, regardless if it makes sense or not.

I feel Chapter 5 really lacked the absurdity of previous seasons. Im am interested for the potentual obsurditity of the next chapter. But i think it should also be said that the prolonged existance of chapter features should be encouraged. By that i mean that features like augments, mod attachments and upgrade benches should remain and not be removed once the chapter it existed in ended.
Chapter 6 Has the potential to be the BEST Chapter of Fortnite and we that leaks we got it looks promising Hopefully they keep that momentum.
I'm glad we didn't get shotgun metas. It's nice to have a break from the 1 trick ponies that cabt Play has no skill outside of the pump.
Everyone keeps saying "will this chapter save fortnite, will this chapter save fortnite, will this chapter save fortnite" is annoying. It doesn't matter in the end of the day. Each season will have pros and cons. Can't satisfy everyone. The game probably won't stay relevant and last forever either in the next 100 years. People will complain about something else. Its just a game.
