Thanks for the chat and channel plug guys!
Awesome car man
You seem like a downright legend also !
What a great build. 80 Series Chassis being a important upgrade. I would hate to think what it would have driven like on the 40 Series. Had a BJ40 for quite a while and even with a non turbo 3 liter diesel it was sketchy on the road.
Wicked build! Only thing id do different is Haltech over OEM ECU.
I used to like the PCMtec stuff until i spent the money on a proper ecu..
Genius bloody great effort ❤ it 🍻🤙🏼
This thing is glorious
Learned to drive in one of these. '71 3 speed diesel capability of about 105kph down hill with a tailwind. In the FJs defence could do that on tarmac, gravel or paddock.
Mint! Unique
FBJ45?
(FB = Ford Barra). BJ was the diesel code
That is cool as. !!!!
Cool car 👍
nice build
My wife allows me!! 🤣 I love when grown men act like 6yo boys, sweet build tho 👌🏼
😊
Please make "I love 90s" FC3S Rx7 and MK3 Supra shirt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They both started being sold in the mid 80's, '85 and '86 respectively
@@vlt873 I have both 92 mk3 and a 91 rx7 for as much as I would like to say it’s an 80’s car these two were made in the 90s. I do see your point, but again I also wouldn’t call my wife’s 2001 Supra a 90s. Should we consider a 1989 R32 skyline GTR an 80s car? I just call it the year it’s made I guess.
2k barra
n/a block would be better for low end torque because of the higher compression
Plenty of low end torque from a turbo barra
Wander how much he sold it for ?
2k?
Just off topic..will a bilit flywheel rust sorry about spelling
If it's steel/iron yes. Aluminium(?) Not...
Stock Na petrol engine making all the torque down low. Those rods must be loving life.
That cruiser got bad approach angles good 4wd diesel non turbo and walk over everything.Petrol 1 plus good on sand.Stock hilux would kill it on steps
NA block because "he's not going to run full power" but "it's tuned for torque"? Torque is what bends rods...
'Must drive better too'.... really? What sort of a comment is that. Was a decent interview with a guy who is passionate about something he actually built until you had to throw that in there.
Looks like we found a Ford owner haha c'mon mate lighten up. 👍
Personally l would have used a naturally aspirated ls3 for better torque without needing a turbo and much better sound
yeah nah
Big straight six will produce more low end torque.
@@ham_Yai no it won't you obviously know very little about engines 😁
@@uraniumcranium2613 yeah nah people are generally pretty clueless 😁
Meh... V8 FJ45's are so late 90's😂.
Better tourque? Man has 90Nm over an out of the box ls3, and he's got it from 2200rpm.
Clueless you say...
why diDn'T ThEY put A ToYOtA diESeL iN It, cOUlda drIVeN oVeR waY more skips iN iT!?
diesel sOoT geTS the MoOt!
I needed that
🤣
