That one blue and green fish that showed up about 2/3rds of the way through the video was absolutely beautiful. My husband and I did a stingray swim but it was an off Key West before we went on a cruise out of Miami. That was an absolute highlight of the whole cruise and it wasn't even part of the cruise. One difference I noticed was the way they had us hold the fish. We laid our hand out flat palm up and held the fish between two fingers (can't remember if it mattered which fingers) and the rays swam over our hands and sucked up the fish. For a number of years I had the video we got from that experience but with moving and life in general I have no idea what happened to that video. I wish I had that video now because my husband passed away in 2020 just before covid hit and that was a highlight of his life. Oh well life goes on. On another note, I applaud you being such a supportive parent and Drew for attempting things he was obviously uncomfortable with.
OMG thank you so much for this. Doing my first cruise Half Moon Cay is our first stop. I'm nervous. You have to be able to swim to snorkel. Wow you covered everything I'm allergic to nuts so it's good to know that there were nuts in the brownies
Thanks for watching!!! You will love Half Moon Cay! No reason to be nervous. You don’t necessarily need to know how to swim to snorkel. You can use a floating safety vest to keep you afloat. And you can shallow water snorkel so you can stand up easily. There isn’t a lot to see at half moon cay as far as snorkeling but it makes for a perfect beach day. The water is like a pool! Enjoy!
Thank you! Your vlogs are full of great information. Love the pics and beautiful scenery as well. We are cruising for Christmas as well on the new Mardi Gras💕 Happy Cruising!
Thank you!!! I can’t wait to cruise on Mardi Gras in March. We were actually scheduled for Christmas but because my husband had a work conflict we just moved it to March! Excited to be back on Sunrise for Christmas. Thanks for watching and enjoy your Christmas cruise!
Yes I’ve used the clamshells but if you are going in the heat of summer, they hold in heat and are very hot! They are great for shade but don’t help you stay cool unless you prop up the back with a brick. I just usually walk down the beach to the large villas and sit in front of one of those for shade.
when we sailed in Sept and Dec they did not have the 80s or white party. We sail again next month (Mardi Gras) and I'm hoping that they do have the parties.
Thanks for watching!!! The Guys Pig & Anchor BBQ is included so no extra cost. It’s only available on embarkation day (opens at 12:30) and on sea days.
@@Omare630 my boys are 13 and 16 so it was a normal experience for them. I left my 5 year old daughter and husband home due to the restrictions. But we are scheduled to take 2 cruises during the Christmas holiday as a family. No kids club for carnival til next year for 12 and under. So we are sailing Royal for one cruise- kids clubs are open. And then Carniva Sunrise for the 2nd cruise- that means she will have to just hang with me and my husband. The protocols are no kids club, need to test before the cruise, she’ll be tested again at embarkation and again before getting off the ship! $150 will be added to my sign and sail account to cover the cost of her tests done by carnival. And it’s recommended that she wear a mask. I’m hoping things will change once the vaccine is approved for 12 and under. There were only a few small children on our sailing due to the restrictions.

@@allenfamilyadventures859 thank you! ☺️
I love your vlogs, very informative!! You have a beautiful family!
Thank you so much!
The water looks amazing. Like a swimming pool! IMO this looks nicer than the beach at coco cay
Half Moon Cay is breathtaking! Definitely one of my favorite beaches! Thanks for watching!
I wish I had watched this before booking the clamshell. I can’t wait!!! 3 days!
Oh have fun!!! Just make sure you grab a clamshell that has large rocks/bricks to prop up in the back! Enjoy your time in Half Moon Cay!
Are the clam shells worth the money or have you ever used them

Hi I have another question….do they still have the 80s party and white party?
when we sailed in Sept and Dec they did not have the 80s or white party. We sail again next month (Mardi Gras) and I'm hoping that they do have the parties.
Do you have to pay for the BBQ

I was referring to the bbq on the island
@@Omare630 oh goodness! My apologies- wrong video!!! YES it’s free on the island! And its pretty good too! It’s served 11am-1pm.
@@MHFamilyAdventures great thank you. How was it traveling with children under 12
