    With the "Vehicle charging when off-grid" if you tell Powerwall E.G. "75% save for home - 25% share with vehicle" does that mean excess solar would automatically charge the vehicle ?
    What about when NOT in a "grid outage", can you still define home and vehicle boundaries ?

      @Southern_Energy  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey its actually a little different from that. When your Off grid, the system will only allow the Tesla EV to charge when the battery is above 75%.
      When the system is on grid this function is not enabled so would NOT limit the charging of the Tesla EV.
      Here's a walkthrough on how to charge your EV with Powerwall: www.tesla.com/support/tesla-app/charge-on-solar

      @@Southern_Energy I appreciate the swift response to a year-old video 👍
      thanks for the link, it answered pretty much everything i needed to know, seems Tesla really have put a lot of thought into almost any combination of "charge boolean rules" most consumers could want :)

    My app doesn't show an Impact option, or any of the energy value graphs, just the yellow generation line coming from the solar panels, 😒

    EXCELLENT video and content, too bad about your audio, however. Can it be re uploaded with corrected audio?

      Frank thanks for the feedback, unfortunately not without losing the reach on the video.

      yeah no doubt, like a bad 80s action movie! It was one of the first videos filmed on a new mic setup and definitely wasn't right! The content is so helpful though we decided to leave it up for folks to use rather than try and redo it. Thanks for the feedback

    This is the best overview of the tesla powerwall app. Thanks. But your audio needs work. The voice is distorted and only on the right channel.

    Helpful review but I was hoping for advice on the Backup/Time-based slider settings. I'll keep looking.

      Tesla actually has some pretty helpful resources, maybe start here: www.tesla.com/support/energy/powerwall/mobile-app/time-based-control-user-guide

    Is there a website where I can go to download the "app" onto my home computer instead of having to install an app for my phone? I want to see this information on a full screen, not on a phone.

    • @Southern_Energy

      hey unfortunately not, Tesla only offers the monitoring via mobile app.

    My app is not showing home use and grid usage. What is causing that?

    • @Southern_Energy

      most likely a connection issue from the Powerwall. Whoever installed it should be able to troubleshoot, if it was us, give our tech support team a shout at www.southern-energy.com/support

    Where is the tesla powerwall password if it's not located on the qr code sticker????

    • @Southern_Energy
      @Southern_Energy  ปีที่แล้ว

      not sure what PW you need, but your installer should be able to reset any passwords for access you may need

    • @Southern_Energy

      Juanita that's nsuper frustrating--we've heard of this issue as well and it appears to be a Tesla app glitch. Try restarting app, deleting and re-downloading, or reaching out to Tesla directly. Good luck!

    My powerwall app is showing a yellow or amber line feeding the powerwall or house from the solar panels. It use to be green. I asked the company that installed the our system but they said it was normal. I’m not to sure about that since it use to be green. What do the different feeding colors mean. Sometimes a white feeding line appears feeding the house from the grid.

    • @Southern_Energy
      @Southern_Energy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Arthur, this one is new to us too! But it does appear it's just a change in the app based on a couple of reddit threads: www.reddit.com/r/TeslaSolar/comments/11fjaiz/new_colored_lines_in_powerwall_app/

      Thank you very very much!!!! I was afraid that the solar panel micro inverters were failing 1:46

    • @CraigD13
      @CraigD13 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@arthurhernandez8909 I thought the same as you at first and then realized that the colors are just showing the source of the power . . . solar is yellow; green is powerwall; grey is the grid. Tesla should have spared giving anxiety to Tesla solar/powerwall owners by having the Tesla App announce the app changes.

    I have Tesla solar system, I downloaded the solar edge app but I don’t have an account with them! Do I need to create an account in order to be able to see the panels production !

      yes, your solar installer usually sets that up. You'll need an account to login and view your production

    Im using way too much from my grid? What should i do?

    • @Southern_Energy
      @Southern_Energy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you should be able to adjust your settings to use more of your battery first, and only the grid as a last resort. This of course would be your battery would be discharging most of the time so it wouldn't be full for outages, but you can always adjust ahead of a known outage (coming storms, rolling blackouts, etc)
