I’ve had this video saved for a couple years and came back to it multiple times. Sent it to a bunch of people as well. Just a good example of someone with a very specific vision, tools and knowledge to execute. Dig it.
Love their work. I am actually doing the opposite, renovating vintage clothes! The result is also great.
do you happen to know what is the terminology of such technique? is there one?
@@keqiaoli4617 vintage restoration
Why don't you sell all your vintage clothes to him so he can have real vintage stock😂
this is cool it took these guys a lot of experimentation to create a look and feel that looks awesome at the end result
This is my post lol when I was crypto pirate .
I’ve seen the Madeworn T-shirt’s on several people and am always shocked at how perfectly imperfect they are!!! I’m obsessed!!! I can’t afford $160 T-shirt’s but whenever I am able to, you can bet I will definitely be buying them! This video doesn’t do the T-shirt’s justice. Seriously. If you see one in person it will nearly take your breath away haha! This man is brilliant.
this really helped me. i was looking for how to give a certain effect to denim for a college project for god known how long.
I just started getting into distressing t shirts with scissors and bleach and I made a sick shirt yesterday... gonna use some of these methods described and take it to the next level. Thanks
still up? can i have advices?
This is one of the coolest videos on TH-cam!!!! What a dude!
It's like a Jason Mamoa wet dream
Larry Vu I was watching momoa vids and this popped up actually
I dont think people know how hard it is to make new stuff look used. Theres loads of critics but very few who can do this stuff well. I do it with lettering and signs and bits and pieces, plus a few bikes. Try it and if people notice then you've done it wrong. Great work - Im just starting in on clothes now.
kapital.jp are the undisputed kings
Carson Bjorkman eh thats some pretty surface level japanese americana
@@carsonbjorkman393 Kapital is good but I prefer Number (N)ine and Needles when it comes to Americana inspired Japanese brands.
The funniest thing that I remember was the day that my girlfriend and I were wearing Levi's at a party that were scorched and burnt around the holes and bottoms of the legs.
When a guy asked us where we got them, I told him that we had paid £180 for them at a designer shop and he actually believed me.
In reality, a few weeks earlier when some kids had set the grass alight at the campsite. After we realized that the knee high fire was spreading faster than our boots could boots could put it out and it was getting close to one of the tents, we both took our jeans off and used them to beat the flames down.
It was amazing how little damage it caused and even where the denim was smoldering around the rips and holes, it was easy to put them out with our calloused working hands.
@@wilsjane lol
I never thought of using fire?! Definitely need to try that next time I’m weathering something
I like the way they work, and the prices sound great. If I had the money I would definetly buy a piece.
As an aspiring designer, this was enjoyable and inspiring!
This is dope. Is not for everyone, but so comforting aging stuff. This dude definitely be a buddy of mine 😢
Dude that squirrel was awesome and it reminds me of one time me and a friend were sitting in a trench I dug and a squirrel came right up and sniffed our airsoft guns I was like “Best airsoft experiences ever!”
Of you want to distress a pair of pants, give them to a roofer to work in for about 2 weeks.
lol
Just stumbled across this and love it. I can dig it
Man, this is gold 😂
Jeez man it’s one thing to like well worn looking clothes, it’s a whole other thing recreating an archeological site😂
This is the most hipster thing I’ve seen in a while
This concepts been around for ages man. People in the 70s used to wash their jeans in the river to get that stonewash look. It's the same thing.
The more hipsterish thing was the workarea though, normal people dont have that kind of stuff around LOL
what is OP on about
@@SwedishEmpire1700 ‘normal’ is subjective af tho
Wear n tare department!!
I love your place and ur artistry!!!
ur wonderful!!!!
I love the rugged American look
It's such a slap in the face to poor people that rich people think "shabby chic" or the "homeless or hipster?" Movements are cool.
Poor people like this stuff too? What are you on?
This isn't a poor vs rich thing this is just people expressing themselves through worn clothing.
@@wheresmyrooptoff4056 poor people cant afford it you dingus
@@bleepbloop9251 i said like not buy
what does liking a style have anything to do with being able to afford it
broke ppl who are into fashion diy this stuff all the time anyway or save up for it
Love this! Good for you! You’ve found an awesome niche for your talent and imagination! I want to distress new canvas Vans. Do you have any suggestions for me. I better stay away from fire😂
Volunteer as a roadie/merch guy for a punk/metal band for a year and wear only those shoes for that whole year
Ah my god...Love your philosophy and energy, and your place. Nice work as well, of course.
Btw...I'm kicking myself I never had my old Westy Dog stuffed. Inspired.
Thank you for sharing.
we live in a crazy world literally
Is there a way to get in contact with this guy ?
ask the homeless in the corner...
This is so dope and unique
Price wise a little high, but I dig it, kudos to these guys
Can anyone suggest how to make a brand new hi vis vest look vintage? It's just one of those cheap polyester one's you see people on construction sites wearing. Tks.
BEAUTIFUL
Brilliant!
The length hipsters will go to get "the look"
1:02 Hipster John Krasinski is that you?
If you want to see how hard is the weather something grab you a model car that goes plastic model car kits and 124 scale and try to make a rusted weathered looking car out of it and make it look real that's why it's very hard to weather items to make look natural
Same guy that founded Junk Food Clothing
160$ is a little steep for me. There is too many DIY videos on TH-cam for me to pay 160$. Plus this video itself gave me some things to use to just do it myself
Yeah it's bizarre. People buy brand new things for that..then pay extra to age it.
Like...just wear it, it's free.
Dream job
Cool work.
I mean he set that price for whatever reason, and then enough people thought it was reasonable, so it’s fine.
All my clothes looks like s*** and I tried to keep them nice. Maybe I should sell my shity t-shirts for 160.00$. Hey God bless you guys I think it's pretty cool what you guys are doing!
really cool
patina!!!!
This is pure art! Dont make fun of it, if you dont understand it!
How cool do you do women's stuff? How can someone in TX check out your line?
Cmon man
vtg love this video !!
What’s this guys shop name??
Alchemists!!!
Legend
Just use color safe bleach then wash it scrub it again and again about 5 times then rinse it then again wash it then youll notice the color is faded like the one you see in the thriftstores
This is my type of guy
With the quality of modern clothes after six months of use they look about ten years old and ready for the trash bin.
I’m gonna donate my work clothes to him for inspiration
This guy is going to give your clothes pneumonia and charge you for it. lol
Ammonia...LOL
Jason mamoa would love this place 💀
His tomahawks look like Richard Bagget tomahawks.
There Jason Momoa from frontier
Hi I really enjoyed your video, I have a question. Do you have any advice for aging my black Dickies jacket? I really want an faded grey aged look :)
Wear it everywhere and wash it then in. Few years it should fade that is if it’s 100percent cotton and not polyester
Bobbe Lee on bad friends podcast brought me here
The embodiment of wabi sabi
I'd rather wear out a nice pair of pants because it really just tells a story. It went with you everywhere. It's just more important to you because there will never be another one like it. I dont know a good word to use, but I guess it just seems more artificial I guess.
I totally understand that. It's just some people don't want to wear brand new looking clothes.
@@Z5Z5Z5 and I think that's really cool
I would buy a house right next to this place and buy him all of my clothes
Or just buy new clothes and wear it well?
Or buy second hand clothes?
Metal
Hipsters
I found the mounts of the pets to be upsetting the rest is just costuming.
Hey Karen taxidermy is a staple in America
dont let the mad sciebtist approach make you think this dude is a genius lol hes essentially throwing spagehtti at the walland hoping it stcks respect but at the same time lets be practical on technioques we can all basicallydo from hom e
100% this dude's true talent is marketing and con fidence
Bumcore
Why would anyone want to wear a jeans that looks old, unless you are poor.
and the people who buy it will throw it out when it gets one genuine tear or stain.
says who?
I love uuu
Tweakanomics…..
$160 for a tshirt!!!!
are you crazy???!!!???
Imagine working for a living
2 words: zoolander derelicte
This guy just ruins cloths and acts like it's a skill....
Too bad nowadays it seems like their brand is just overpriced pristine vintage band tees 😕😕 just feels like the lost who they were..
Dont like that
Aside from doing this for tv and movies, this is the dumbest thing and pointless.
If Magnolia Pearl was a man.
Wot? Ruïning perfectly good quality clothes? I owe one Aeroleather jacket, one Lee denim jacket, a couple of 501’s and one pair Redwing Iron Rangers. Wearing them about every day, year in and out. No need to destroy goods, just wear your favorites and earn it.
André H how many years have you worn them for?
At 1:52 he addresses your exact concern.
"destroy" headass
Lame AF
1:52
This is ridiculous.
lol even more people doing exactly what he says: criticizing what they don't understand
@@wheresmyrooptoff4056 still doesn’t negate the fact it’s ridiculous.
Yes it's kind of ridiculous but cool as well
just stupid paying more for already destroyed clothing.
Cool clothes for homeless 🤣🇺🇸
I'm homeless, therefore I am in no need of his services
I wish this vid was like an hour long
When I first saw this video 3 years ago, I thought this was crazy. Now, after getting my first pair of selvedge denim, I really want to send a denim shirt to this guy
The guy in the clean white tee pouring coffee on stuff to purposely stain ...the irony
Or just go to the thrift store instead...
balenciaga:
I love the used look it goes with my style omg!! I love torn clothes, teach me tips please
This is what Jason monos wears lol
This is what hipsters artists wears not hatin btw i mean he’s a great designer and I respect his style
At least the guy is working....hint hint
Or just wear your clothes and let this happen. Or do you want to look like a hard rugged person without doing anything lol
Maybe like $50 a tee, the quality and work put in to making them look that way isn’t worth $160... it’s not too hard to pre-age clothing, as for the leather that’s understandable if you actually made it.
Well done!

Love your style man, rock on
