Glad you were able to get your harvest finished up, silos & bag full. Yep, there's always something needing a little TLC on the farm. Thanks for the ride alongs. Take care.
Happy days are here. Nothing like the last load of silage for the year. I say go celebrate, but if you're like me that can be bad. The last time I did ...... My fun button got stuck and my wife didn't think it was my best moment. Trust me she had several occasions to compare it to.👍 We did get a new garage door out of it. Take a day and catch your breath. Congrats
Congratulations on finishing your corn harvest! Great respect and appreciation for what you and your family have accomplished! Thanks for the video Shane!
Congratulations on finishing up your corn chopping. The catch bucket isn't anything new around here. When I bought my M with the loader, at the bottom of each cylinder there was a gallon coffee can hanging. 😆 no chit!!! I ran to Belmond IA yesterday. The dam dust in the air was terrible. (Nothing really new for Iowa). Doc
Thanks Doc!👍 Lol coffee can's have so many uses! 😂🤣 It's just Flippen dry here also! Hopefully we get some moisture before it freezes up otherwise the frost is going to go deep this winter!🤬
Man yeah, corn chopping 22 in the books! I know it was a struggle, but all in all not bad! I enjoyed every min of it!! A "little short , the story of my life " 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Oh no, well at least you.csn catch and screen the oil, hopefully that repair will be simple! Love the blocks on the bag 😉😉😁😁👍👍 Man yeah, cutting and chopping more hay! And the 44 possibly on the discbine 😁😁😁😁😁 Thank you Mr Shane for bringing us along with!! Look fwd to more sir!! Well done on getting the corn 🌽 silage finished 👍 at least you weren't having to battle through mud but parts of your fields sure do look really compacted 🤔 love the whole family getting on with the work💪stay safe strong and well 🏴👍
Glad to see you're done too 👍👍. Hopefully you'll have enough to last till next year. Same story different farm, limping those old tractors through, dad's 2290 is puking hytran everywhere too lol . Good luck with everything take care cheers man 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
@@shaneholst6940 you can always find a dairyman at chore time 👍 I would like to get away from here at least a day or two. Usually I just get in and drive. Don't have enough time to really do anything else.
Corn silage is pretty easy! Just move the blower ahead, slide out slip sleeve and then shake and tap on pipe. It usually comes out pretty nice! Haylage can be a real treat? It involves more work.
I know that PTO valve very well. 2520 leaked terrible this summer. I put a seal and o ring in it then found out that the bad leak was from the base. One of the base o rings was eroded away.
At least Deere isn't hurting. I swear I saw about a dozen Ayrshire today. I didn't know there were any left. Still a guy milking Guernseys west of me. Thanks Shane.
you have enough corn to last for the year and have you anymore grass to chop and how many cows are you milking and how many Red and white Holsteins do you have
If I can get a load of sweet corn silage once a week for a few months I should make it almost a year with corn silage? We have some hay left to chop . We are milking around 165 right now. We only have one red white cow and and around 10 red white heifers. We are going to be looking for a new red white bull . Sven, our current red white bull is getting old and to big and is going to have to go soon!
@@shaneholst6940 Shane you have a cattle jockey or a local dairy farmer you buy your bulls from and how many bulls 1for cows and 1for heifers have you ever AI or is it just to expensive
Oil leaks get expensive anymore!! That's an extra $150 to blow 30 loads... Doesn't take long to pay for the repairs at that rate.. I about goofed up a PTO shaft yesterday, used to loader to knock 💩off the spreader... Oops

Good afternoon Shane. It's been a challenging year for your corn, but it's done. Those silage bags are a good idea. 👍👍

Good morning Shane 🐮🍀 🌿. This looks good.
Now there is a lot of good food for the cows.
Good to be done and to have put up decent feed.
Nice to have that job done. Those bags can be kind of tricky once in a while.👍🍻🍻

A little rain this summer would have help our corn up hear some! Mine was not even 12 ton an acre. Grrr... Lol
Rain would of helped all of us.
what is the procedure to unplug the pipe ? looks like a major job.

I could of got a 10' but it cost more.
All right!
