Wow - what a night to remember! Musical Celebration for the Maestro held on evening before the Homegoing Service the following day. Dr. Clark, Twinkie, BeBe Winans, Daryl Coley, and so many others-can't recall all. Many lives were touched and musical styles influenced by Thomas Whitfield. Powerful anointing in the room that evening. Photography was great - Gwen Morton (Thomas' Fiance), Twinkie, and Dr. Clark all blended into one shot - GREAT! Will always remember Dr. Clark and the Maestro!

In the beginning her sister had to be assured that she would be ok at the podium. At the end you can see she is relieved the song is over and that Mattie can rest. So glad these moments are captured.

I’m listening to this in Jan 2022 during a raging pandemic that running rapid throughout the world. Over 5.47 Million Deaths and over 300 Million Covid cases Worldwide. It’s Unbelievable that we are living through something we never have before. It’s our new normal. But our God….yet provides a way of escape. I’m still standing here by Faith and singing, I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me.

No that was Bishop Paul Morton's sister, she was one of the leads on Thomas Whitfield and Company. If I'm not mistaken, her name is Gwen Morton.
Auntie Twinkie was encouraged at 4:15 ,I wonder with all the stuff that has happened to her after her mother’s death and wanting to retire and stop singing with her sisters.Do she ever think about songs her and her mother sung or think about how her mother kept going to the end even through hardships??And is that’s what kept her moving to this day cause I know it’s hard dealing with different attitudes all the time and this person wanting to be leader at this time and so on ,Cause I think auntie Twinkie wanting to retire isn’t a bad thing, she tired of this music stuff and ready to relax.Then the sisters pushing her to keep going but Twinkie went through the toughest time their whole career.From singing,playing,writing,directing,having to travel everywhere with her momma constantly,to her trying to pleased everybody else but her self.That’s what made me mad about in the movie,she was telling them she was ready to separate herself from her sisters career wise and they had a problem with that,Like what come on now (only sister the movie showed was supportive was Karen and I kinda figured that she would be)But they probably thought she was doing them wrong but she did them all a favor in their own way.I love me some Clark Sisters but the main sisters I’m following is Karen and Twinkie and if they out I’m out or if Twinkie decide to retire and stop singing I’m still going to be a Clark sisters fan but I’m just stick with they old music with all four of them and call it a wrap.

This 92 she was fine but she had one leg at this time tho
+LaMaude Lewis It's amazing to know that although she had her leg amputated she still continued to minister and direct choirs across the country. She definitely was a lady of God.

this was before she was in the hospital because I believe she was admitted to the hospital in 93 or 94 which was the the last year she lived
Before. She tried to continue her ministry afterwards but she eventually got too sick and she stayed in the hospital/hospice afterwards but she still died relatively young at 69. 😔
So sad none of these comments is about The actual song even though I do not like CCM music when I look at CCM music videos 99.8% of the comments is about the lyrics and how it touches them and I would speaks in the message but in the gospel world all we comment on is how high they saying the riffs and runs Kobe look alike how they sound like each other the skill everything and never once we talk about God and the lyrics of the song noches here but just gospel music in general most of the comments is always about the skill level And the appearance and it’s never about the words in the songs this is gospel music gospel music is biblical and get his praises and glorifies and worship God but we are focusing so much on the messenger and not the message
