@@Poifix yup, it really depends on context and situation such as an out of position isolated Widow on High ground post push that nobody else can reach, you can choose to make the play to disarm her or leave her alone (again, depends on skill level of Widow) since Widow generally has trouble at cqc and you just need 5 headshots on a rather stationary target. There's also times since you're in the air, you see most of the battlefield and can spot 1 tap targets out of ally reach. Quickly pulling out your pistol to try and dink someone with a couple shots who's nearly dead is fine if the person you're pocketing doesn't need you to Heal/Boost. Sometimes if I get really fed up with my DPS not targeting easy supports (Like a Mercy literally next to him tethered to the Tank he's shooting at or a Moira doing the succ behind him), I pull my pistol out and fire a few shots at them to push them back before going back to Tether, but never overcommitting for a kill. If they back off, I've done my job in making the enemy easier to kill since now the Support has to disengage the fight for a while to heal. People also sometimes don't expect to be attacked on tall Buildings without other similar heroes so sometimes I'd try to scare off people camping there for a Flank opportunity like a Reaper/Pharah/Echo by Superjumping off an ally and put some bullets into them, sometimes killing them by accident if they were hiding there cause they were low. I've even once chased down a post Tank Form Bastion. Route 66 last point on Offense, Bastion was standing on High ground right after payload turns around corner, ran into room as payload moved in and Tank Form wore off, team didn't have vertical mobility. So I went for it with Valk because I knew my team was fine taking it 4 v 3 (Enemy tank died) and Tank Bastion was the main one causing problems to our team. So leaving them alone to solo kill a Core target was an alright plan since, my team was very much ahead, I had Valk, Bastion is not a hero without Tank Form and I had an escape route for if a Support comes to help since my team is close to LoS for GA. So even if I didn't kill him due to a support interfering, I still succeeded in pressuring 2 people out of position in a side room and I'll just fly back to my team if that happens, forcing a 5 v 2 fight on Payload. It ended up being a really good play, because after killing him and making my escape (flew back to team through the upper door cause as expected, they couldn't hold space with 1 DPS 2 Sups so had clear LoS for GA as they pushed up), it just so happened that the remaining Soldier had Ulted on my way back from behind enemy lines, didn't know I had flanked. So instead of GA-ing back, which would also have been suicidal, I instead hovered directly above and behind him and dinked him in the head till he died.

as a mercy main of 6 years. this happens very often in my games when im going against another mercy. ego duals are very very prevalent in mercy players
Watching battle Mercy in action and it went to an ad that had a guy saying "Dude, this is a horrible gaming experience, how do you live like this?" i'm like, well that was fitting.
The player was hard hard HARD throwing for 70% of the match, but about halfway through round 2 the entire lobby succumbed to pure chaos with no rules which is the only environment where a Battle Mercy can ever find success. Without the Genji doing a really good job playing 4v5 in round 1 there was a 100% chance of this Mercy losing the whole game for everyone on their team, which in my opinion is disgusting behavior.
Mercy's pistol is specifically designed to let you know your purpose, it's so worthless to try and do damage, that using damage boost on teammates is better
I really wonder how many newish people to OW get confused by the scoreboard and assume they need to put damage out to be 'useful'. Not this person, as they claimed battlemercy, but like.. I could see a newbie thinking 'oh no I'm the only one with 0 damage :\' this straight up hurts to watch tho lol
I've won countless matches with 0 dmg as Mercy, and 5k-12k healing, depending on how much my tank and dps feed. People forget there's this thing called "damage boost" that Mercy can do. Constantly. 30% boost nonstop. Meanwhile other supports with higher dmg boost are only for a couple seconds, aka their ults (nano boost and bap window).
Second Channel idea: Flats goes through all the bronze spectator videos where he heavily defaults to food as a metaphor and has to make a dish out of every ingredient or food mentioned in the video.
Something tells me Flats was craving breakfast and fruit during this recording... Jokes aside it is hilarious to hear you go through every fruit found in your local grocery store to describe this mercy lmao. The Hog and Sojourn sure know how to liven up the party too
If I recall correctly it used to be a thing in OW1 from time to time: If one Mercy goes full Battle Mercy (and pretty much throwing at this point) the other Mercy have all the competitive reasons to join this ERP session and turn this game into 5v5. Not really a rule but more like a call to arms.

5:05 this has to be the funniest part of the video the way she laughs and than cuts to screaming in agony ☠️☠️
Watching Flats do bronze spectating videos is a great wake and bake. So glad I found this channel because it is hilarious and informative. Keep up the awesome videos
"Onwards to victory!"
*Proceeds to go duel a Roadhog*
*and somehow win*
BATTLE MERCY!!!
Enough said
Idk Flats, I saw a TikTok where the guy said you want to pick Brig for movement, not Mercy. Maybe he should try a tank healer like Bap
as a mercy main of 6 years. this happens very often in my games when im going against another mercy. ego duals are very very prevalent in mercy players
That’s understandable gotta prove who the better one is I do the same as widow and zen
I think Flats skipped breakfast lol
What baffles me is people falling off of map at Bronze since they needed to win like 50 unranked games to even get to that point.
Man, I can't wait for Cuber or whichever of Flats video editor to make a montage of all the fruits and vegetables Flats describe people's aim.
6:36 Beelzebub is giggeling XD
Mercy's pistol is specifically designed to let you know your purpose, it's so worthless to try and do damage, that using damage boost on teammates is better
Valking mercy wins most 1v1s vs dps though
@@spicysnowman8886 In Bronze maybe
@@wildeskompositum9556 I've seen it happen to grandmaster players
13:55 Flats can no longer comprehend how to feel or whats happening so he just starts laughing lmao
I really wonder how many newish people to OW get confused by the scoreboard and assume they need to put damage out to be 'useful'. Not this person, as they claimed battlemercy, but like.. I could see a newbie thinking 'oh no I'm the only one with 0 damage :\'
this straight up hurts to watch tho lol
I've won countless matches with 0 dmg as Mercy, and 5k-12k healing, depending on how much my tank and dps feed. People forget there's this thing called "damage boost" that Mercy can do. Constantly. 30% boost nonstop.
Meanwhile other supports with higher dmg boost are only for a couple seconds, aka their ults (nano boost and bap window).
As a mercy main this hurt me mentally physically and spiritually on so many levels
Sometimes Pistol Mercy is the right thing to do. SOMETIMES! Not always. And not for an extended time.
Bro said he got 21 kills but I counted 5 the whole game.
Second Channel idea: Flats goes through all the bronze spectator videos where he heavily defaults to food as a metaphor and has to make a dish out of every ingredient or food mentioned in the video.
The amount of comparisons to assorted foods (particularly fruit) was astounding. I’m actually impressed
that reaper had it coming
Something tells me Flats was craving breakfast and fruit during this recording... Jokes aside it is hilarious to hear you go through every fruit found in your local grocery store to describe this mercy lmao. The Hog and Sojourn sure know how to liven up the party too
7:25 this is the open queue with randoms in a nutshell
If I recall correctly it used to be a thing in OW1 from time to time:
If one Mercy goes full Battle Mercy (and pretty much throwing at this point) the other Mercy have all the competitive reasons to join this ERP session and turn this game into 5v5. Not really a rule but more like a call to arms.
7:26 road hog trippin💀💀
i love how flats changes shades of red with every second spectating bronzes
I have 21 elims as Mercy, im stuck bronze 5, dont know why and don't know how to improve my gameplay.
Wow, must really be a mystery.
as a new mercy main in low ranks this persons teammates are like a dream come tru, know how many times i try to pocket a dps just for them to hide after taking one hp of dmg and not hit a single shot, that genji deserves better
At this point she should’ve just given the genji her staff
Ok. Just started literally playing mercy for a change of pace, and this is hurting my brain!
NO FUCKING WAY HE WON THE REAPER 1v1!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe this person saw Ariana's ow1 battle mercy video to you and was like 'imagine how much damage you can do....if you don't heal the team!'
getting available kills is 1 thing, this is out of this world
I cannot believe she won the 1v1 against the reaper LOL
5:53 diffed by a better battle mercy after bragging about your elims and preference for the battle mercy playstyle?! This is ridiculous.
He's just using the law of averages. He knows, if he shoots it enough, he will hit someone eventually.
The amount of ppl that res in front of a whole team just bcs they wanna press the ability is excruciating 😂
I wonder if these Mercys understand how much more effective damage they’d do if they just damage boosted
In bronze, 5 minutes of damage boost is generally about as effective as shooting your gun for 5 seconds (*if* you hit every shot).
@@ultru3525 im no mercy afficionado by any stretch but i suspect that it pays to check the scoreboard for the damage pumpers, and boost them.
"I'm here to disappoint!" (c) Mercy
I've been watching only the bits where he pauses and the fun just never ends
Worst or best Mercy? Idk but it was one of the most entertaining ones!
very entertaining but very clearly the worst
"You have the Mechanical skills of a pancake "
LMAO
Dps mercy is an actual meme and this person took it seriously
battle mercy isn’t always a bad thing. sometimes can secure a kill or if u don’t need to heal during valk. what’s hilarious is that they referred to it as an ENTIRE play style as in how you play the ENTIRE game lmfao
Ur ow1 battle mercy vod will ALWAYS outshine this
I’m having a serious headache watching this. I’m also having a headache with all supports that think they are dps instead of a support/healer
This isn't battle Mercy, this is spray and pray Mercy 😂
Truly one of the Mercy’s of all time.
Mt forehead veins were about to pop because of this mercy....poor genji still can't believe they won lol
Patient zero of the battle mercy apocalypse. I'd be crying if I had them in my game.
We've seen "stop shooting the horse", we've seen "stop punching the ramattra", now get ready for... "Stop shooting."
7:52 this was a certified "Wile E. Coyote Walks Off A Cliff And Looks Down, And Only Then Does Gravity Take Effect" moment from the hog here 😭
I just wanna hear the comms when the roadhog falls off the map on third point.
now we found someone who loved the mercy glock buff
"You have the mechanical skill of a pancack". I'm stealing this one, it's too good.
