    Will these dsr in dual channel version work with dbms transmitters? What’s the newest single battery transmitter that will work with these dsr dual channel versions and how are those newer lectrosonic transmitters better than the dbms ones if so ?

      Yes, the DSR dual-channel receiver is compatible with the DBSM and DBSMD digital transmitters. The newest single-battery transmitter is the DSSM although it is not shipping yet. The difference is that the DSSM is watertight, but otherwise would have nearly the same features and identical audio performance as the DBSM.

    Is this your newest receiver ? What newest single battery transmitters work with these ? I’m only interested in the newest tech from lectrosonics

      Yes, the DSR4 and DSR are the newest receivers from Lectrosonics. The newest transmitter we make that is compatible with these two receivers is the DSSM, although it is not yet available. The DBSM is available and has a wide range of features including full digital modulation, and is currently available.

      This means the radio signal is in a digital format - ours is 8PSK. This is completely different than FM (frequency modulation) used in analog radio systems. Here is some info on digital modulation: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phase-shift_keying

      "better" might be subjective, but there are some features that digital can provide and analog can't, including encryption. Also, usually the digital wireless noise floor is lower and more stable. Finally, the range of the digital wireless system is not affected by the transmitter audio input settings the way it is with an analog FM-based system.
