When this episode first aired, I practically screamed when Geed/Riku showed up. I sang his theme so freaking loud and was nearly crying. Geed was the first season I watched while it aired and holds a very special place in my heart. So seeing Riku’s return...just...YES. Side note. I haven’t seen Absolute Conspiracy in English, but just hearing it in the ad...wow does it sound super weird...

I was in love with Galaxy Rising from the first time I saw it. Seeing it in action a year ago only made me love it more. The appearance of Geed wearing a suit of armor is great, but the way it uses the arm fins, the light rings, the sheer awesomeness that is the Wrecking Phoenix, it's what convinced me to go buy a Geed Riser and Riku's medals. I will swear by the fact that Z is a good series even without the callbacks and fanservice, but this is still incredible.

I mean, shouldn't he immediately tell Zett he's seen another ultra? Juggler showing off his status as captain was so... "captain-y" of him lol Anyway, seeing this episode, I can't help but wonder if Geed was meant to have either a bigger role or more appearances but then covid and, maybe, Fukihara's passing got in the way. Still, I hope that devil splinters subplot is resolved in the next UGF. Absolute Conspiracy did seem to set this up with Grigio's coments about her brothers tracking those. Speaking of UGF, nice revisiting Haruki's and Riku's conversation after watching. You can clearly see there was effort into tieing everything together.
Very good observations! It could be that the Devil Splinters will be resolved in the Conspiracy series,and we will see more of Geed,especially since everyone knows that Belial's pieces were scattered after Geed destroyed him and Rayblood took off.
"Haruki didn't ask Zett who Geed was" long explanation This can best be explained by the Ultra tending to not to say anything because they're multi-verse travelers. One verse may recognize an Ultra while another cannot due to a multiple of reasons. Haruki's verse never saw an Ultra until Z (or Zett) showed up, but they think of him as being in the same category as the Kaiju. Not to mention, Z has no human form to show Haruki (much like Zero), so Haruki couldn't have known the Ultra have one. Haruki is admittedly not very good at problem solving things logically (you saw how confused he gets with Yuka), so as far as he's concerned Geed is just another Kaiju who has similarities to Z, but doesn't make the conclusion that they're actually the same race. Meeting Riku/Geed helps Haruki understand there's more then one Ultra and they're just as diverse as humans in terms of looks and abilities. The Ultra themselves tend to be just fine with these misconceptions and misunderstandings unless asked directly to clarify because they're not really there to mingle with the locals unless it's for survival purposes (which is often *why* Ultras take hosts) and is looked as the best way to carry out their mission (which is why they tend to help the main defense force.) So really, blame it on Z.
The two students of Zero unite! And yes Geed you *are* a student: Zero gave you something to inspire to be as much as he did Z, and taught you that Ultras don't have to be like your father. Just be happy Z actually likes you and is not jealous that "Master Zero" accepted you much more quickly then he did him.

Haven' finished the Geed series yet, so I'm certainly pretty lost on what he's done since, no clue who this Gilvallis is or where he's from, maybe a movie or special, no clue. But so cool to see Geed here, with a cool new form, and to hear his opening theme was the icing on the cake. I was also pleased to see the ladies putting in their work here, especially Yuka using her smarts to get one over on the evil A.I.
Just thought, that scene where Taro damaged Belial and the devil splinters came out, it didn't happen in the original movie we knew. But after the absolute conspiracy, maybe it was the history changing that caused to happen?
The closest equivalent is Solid Burning. This one uses a version of the Eye Slugger that Geed can attach to his foot or elbow. Can't have _two_ elbow blades in that form, though.
I loved that this episode shone a spotlight to millennium problems, if I was there I would've waited until the AI solved the Riemann hypothesis first lol

That got explained in TAC. That Belial is from a _different_ timeline. Kinda explains Tartarus' actions some more. He can't just go back in time to get rid of those pesky Ultras, but he can get allies from _other_ timelines.

Ah yes, The return of Japanese Luke Skywalker. I'm gonna be honest, while it was dope to see Geed again I'm still kinda torn on his redesign, it looks a little too bulky compared to his Primitive suit, and if I love or dispise the colors(the Metallic blue is a nice touch) since they are all over the place, the organic parts of the suit look cool though and the forearm blades are a nice addition. Still, the suit doesn't look as bad as the did in pictures for the show, now I actually dig the how he almost looks like he's wearing a bulky suit of armor, also his transformation is sick

i like how it took geed's strongest form (ultimate final) to kill gillvalis but the moment he got revived and riku got galaxy rising it barely stood against it. probably gillvalis got dumber after revival

As I mentioned in my commentary I can't help but wonder if Riku wasn't meant to appear/team up with Zett more often but then covid got into the way. You can see that Hamada didn't even appear in person in that Taiga movie pre-screening event TsuPro streamed back in the way (he showed up via videoconference though). I'd say Fukihara's passing could have affected the series' plans as well.

I just realized that between the mega battle movie and this episode has different scene of it
'Live, Unite, Up' Riku's catchphrase for his combo. 'Live' from Ultraman Ginga's 'Ultralive', 'Unite' from Ultraman X and 'Up' from Ultraman Orb's 'Fusion Up'.
Early episode got some vibes from Urutoraman X. Miss Daichi, X and Xio 😊💕

All if these are devices made by hikari, hunter knight is not as powerful as those things

As I mentioned in my commentary I can't help but wonder if Riku wasn't meant to appear/team up with Zett more often but then covid got into the way. You can see that Hamada didn't even appear in person in that Taiga movie pre-screening event TsuPro streamed back in the way (he showed up via videoconference though). I'd say Fukihara's passing could have affected the series' plans as well.
