The fact that you Loki into draw blob and then loki twice in a row in that first match makes me wonder if the generated deck is determined once and then locked 🤔
You might be onto something each time I’ve played loki into kamartaj or wong I get 2 copies of the same card Im going to do some testing brb Edit: got loki into wong twice, different cards each time, so the generated deck order is probably random
You can replace thena with Havoc (Series 4). Dropping Havoc on turn 5 makes him a 2/8 and you aren't forced to keep playing just 2 cards to scale her. With the low-cost cards of this deck plus Loki having 5 energy last turn, it isn't a game-breaker for you. Thena at her biggest will only be a 2/7 or 2/10 most of the time. It even shows in your own gameplay.
No, this I think is incorrect. Havok is a card that you want to play later on in the game while Loki synergizes with early game scalars. Havok also gives you the -1 energy which is massive last turn of the game. Thena also has many other benefits, partly just bc she is a way better card. Havok still slept on a little bit where can be good in ravona and bast shells but no where near a good card

For people who don't have Thena Havoc is a GREAT REPLACEMENT. since he's Series 4. 2/8 is a big stat line. He also has a huge surprise factor since the Thena lane telegraphs your game plan. Havoc does not.

I don’t really like that elitist argument when I think a decent amount of it is how much time you put into grinding ladder You can’t say that he is a 2/8 much less a 3/8 when he drains one energy on t6 which is more important than the energy on t5 most of the time. Although you are right abt the surprise factor than havok does provide but I think that is also bc he is played later on into the game where thena and havok start to serve different roles in a deck. Also you still are playing havok on t5 so they do have one turn to react to it. Thena they can react for the whole game but you mostly want to play your answer to thena on the final turn You can’t play havok on curve like you can thena but you also can’t play thena late. That’s almost what Loki is now (outside of Arishem) - play him in mid range good card decks to try and max out your early plays as much as possible. There are some quite strong new Loki decks playing a similar strategy, they’re just varying the 2 and 3 drops, but all have a similar concept.
I haven't played the game in a while, but coming back I feel like the powercreep in 3 cost cards has been really noticeable. 5 power 3 cost cards should have a potential drawback or benefit for the opponent if you don't use it in a specific deck like Polaris, Ghost and Wave. But cards like Loki and Copycat and Nocturne seems to be basically 99% upside plus being able to fit into any generic deck as a good card. And then there's Cassandra... Maybe I just need to get used to the new power level in the game again...
nah you;re right the 3 drop spot has gotten super competitive. As a result it s also made 4 costs get rather bland, since its not uncommon to have a 3/7 or 3/8 most games it makes playing that 4/6 iron feel actually stupid
i think (as you pointed somewhat) it is a little misleading saying "X card is good" in a thena shell, any card will perform very well with thena angela and kitty just cause those 3 cards are far outperforming everything we have at the moment you could slot in kang and say "kang returns in this insane deck" the bad part is that these kind of videos take away the attention from the fact that SD just killed an entire archetype out of the blue, there is no more "loki decks" nor anything remotely alike, we lost a very importante (and fun) deck, and sloting the card in an already op shell does not make it "return"
It's a bit of a boring deck-just cramming in all the 3-cost or lower drops (which make up 80% of the deck) that are currently totally broken in terms of their effects and the points they generate. So it's no surprise the deck works, lol.
I put replacements in the description and in the deck explanation... Not sure where else I could put it. Take out copy, Cass, sage, and white widow for Jug, red Guardian, killmonger, Elsa, Medusa, shadow king, scorpion, ect. The only one not replaceable is thena.
Can any of you think for yourself Jesus Christ, if you don't have the card, each card has another it can be replaced with that either does something similar to the deck design goal, or just other good value cards associated by cost. Every snap creator's comment section is just full of babies like you.

Havok still slept on a little bit where can be good in ravona and bast shells but no where near a good card
One benefit for example is being a lot better into clog where you can push power in a clogged lane
