I’ve been trying to wake up at 5am to get my “me time”, but it’s super difficult for me to do. I need to just stop making excuses and get out of bed. I need to go back to my paper bible in the am and not the digital YouVersion one (limit distractions). I need to start slow. 10 minutes is better than 0 minutes. I need to allow time for quietness and stillness. I need to hear my Father.

Heavenly Father please continue to protect me and my sons. As a single mother has carried me. Both of my sons are special needs. I’m overwhelmed because I’m struggling to provide the necessities for my sons like food and clothing and I struggle to pay rent each and every single month yet my struggles have brought me closer to Jesus. I’m a recovering addict and I’ve been on the right path for about 6 months now I gave my life to the lord years ago when I was a child but recently rededicated my life to him but I’ve been struggling with falling back into old habits like not wanting to get out of bed or go to work please pray for me,I usually give up around this time but I want to keep fighting I want a relationship with the lord ❤ any suggestions on scripture for motivation?
Continue to fight, run the race, and don't let your addiction define you. Know that God create you for something bigger, continue to press into God even when it seems like nothing happening. I can relate to Craig on his mental struggles. It’s clear mental health professionals have so much they don’t understand. I’m afraid racing mind is going to be the end of me soon.
It seems like the best pastors always reference having a therapist in their sermons at some point. I love that. ❤ It's great. It speaks to the thoughtfulness and humanity of a person. Also, it helps take the stigma away from going to a therapist. I go a therapist!!

Okay, I decided to sit on my little pillow and set a timer for 5 minutes and just really sit in peace and silence and pray in my head. And it was like I was put into another place when I was talking to God. It was like I sucked into the universe. It was CRAZY. and when my alarm went off I was shocked because it didn’t feel like much time had passed at all. Just wanted to share my experience. I really recommend meditating with God and talking to him. I feel a lot of peace now.

I need to find a place where I can hide from family and friends. The reason I can't be still is because friends constantly rely on me and my dad blew the money he inherited from my grandma and now he pushes me harder than I can handle because of his own screw-up. It's so hard to slow down with so much pressure. I have plenty of time, but my energy is limited. God, please provide me a safe haven and meet me where I am. I want to try higher instead of harder and I just need you.
Lord Jesus, you hear and feel the weariness in your child's prayer right now. You know exactly what they are going through. Please help them to focus on you and to trust you to help them through all the difficult circumstances. Guide and direct them as to what is best. Amen.

My addiction is fear or anxiety. To the point of not living my life to the fullest for God. It believe unbelief and a trust issue. To defeat my unbelief i have to be diligent to read Gods word , pray and focus more on God than myself. I will pray for you until God hears my prayer by faith for you. 🙏🙏🙏
My best recommendation as someone who struggles with the same thing would be to pray for the strength to keep going and making it a priority to read the Bible every day

I can relate to Craig on his mental struggles. It’s clear mental health professionals have so much they don’t understand. I’m afraid racing mind is going to be the end of me soon.
It seems like the best pastors always reference having a therapist in their sermons at some point. I love that. ❤ It's great. It speaks to the thoughtfulness and humanity of a person. Also, it helps take the stigma away from going to a therapist. I go a therapist!!

Disconnecting might mean those that love us don’t understand our desire to be intentional in our relationship with Jesus. But the intentional time with Jesus helps the fruit of the Spirit do its work through me. Jesus, help us all here. We love you and need you. Help us disconnect what the “world” desires so that we can fill up with you and support one another, our families, and show hope to a world that needs you. I’ve had my breakdowns and breakthroughs-without you, all else fails. I lift all my brothers and sisters here. Our value is not what we produce-we are loved and we can rest in that promise. Okay, I decided to sit on my little pillow and set a timer for 5 minutes and just really sit in peace and silence and pray in my head. And it was like I was put into another place when I was talking to God. It was like I sucked into the universe. It was CRAZY. and when my alarm went off I was shocked because it didn’t feel like much time had passed at all. Just wanted to share my experience. I really recommend meditating with God and talking to him. I feel a lot of peace now.
Prayer is powerful and talking to Him does lead to peace that passes all understanding. Phil. 4:6, 7. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I need to find a place where I can hide from family and friends. The reason I can't be still is because friends constantly rely on me and my dad blew the money he inherited from my grandma and now he pushes me harder than I can handle because of his own screw-up. It's so hard to slow down with so much pressure. I have plenty of time, but my energy is limited. God, please provide me a safe haven and meet me where I am. I want to try higher instead of harder and I just need you.
Lord Jesus, you hear and feel the weariness in your child's prayer right now. You know exactly what they are going through. Please help them to focus on you and to trust you to help them through all the difficult circumstances. Guide and direct them as to what is best. Amen.
