    Absolutely LOVED this video and it really motivated me to get back into running training. I agree with you, I really dislike running on treadmills. I much rather run outside but I would totally be inside on a treadmill if the weather was that cold or if it was way too dark outside to run. Way to go! I am cheering you every step of the way.

    Oh man, this new series is motivating to get out of bed and go for a run. Lol So far this new year I’ve changed my eating habits, I’ve been drinking more water and I’ve completely cut out soda. But anyways, so happy for you, keep it up!

    I loved this! I started running for the first time this summer, and I'm still only running one mile, but it's really motivating to see you push yourself toward a new goal, and it makes me want to do the same. I decided to try and run a mile and a half today, which I haven't done before, but just seeing how consistent you've been makes me want to go further and challenge myself. I can't wait to see more of these running vlogs!!

    Moisture wicking 1st layer (Eastern Mountain Sports, REI and LL Bean offer great options), sock liners, mitten gloves and a balaclava are cold defeating measures allowing for comfortable super cold weather runs. And they don’t require bundling layers ad infinitum to be effective! Just 3 layers’ll do it because you’re moving and keeping your perspiration off your skin (the most important warmth keeping factor!)!!!

    I am so excited about this new series. I am a teacher, and training for a half marathon. Nutrition is a big problem for me, so this is soooo helpful. I hope this can keep me motivated to see another teacher accomplishing such an amazing feat. Can't wait for the next video!

    I honestly am not so into getting fit - i eat anything and not exercise at all (because I always say that talking care of the house and our 4- year old daughter is equal to exercising). However, Ive been feeling bloated and I am starting to not like what I see in pictures of me or in the mirror (No, I don't listen to what other people tell me but I listen to what I tell myself) and I feel so tired all the time. This vlog actually made me realize I have to set goals this year - not to get thin but to eat healthy and exercise. Thanks for inspiring us once more Michelle!

    Yay! I’ve been looking forward to a health and fitness video series! Love seeing how you intertwine health and fitness with being a teacher. So hard sometimes thinking about your own health as a busy teacher. If possible, can you explain more about what you look for in a label (macros). Is it specific foods or just things you like in moderation? Excited to see some actual runs. My knee also bothers me so I’d also like to know what you do to help with the aches and pains as well. As hard as it is to vlog and edit with EVERYTHING else you do, I’m stoked because I needed this motivation!!! Thank you!!

    When you were talking about the sore achy legs, I totally got what you were saying! Epsom salt baths, foam rolling, and gentle yoga helps me with this! When I’m in marathon training I try to do each at least once a week. I know what you mean about fitting in runs with teaching! It’s really hard! Kudos to you for doing it along with vlogging!

    Being over 60 with bad knees, the only place I try to run to is the bathroom! Your new vlog has inspired me to clear off the treadmill and get back on it. Seeing your meal preps has been a learning experience, too. Thanks for bringing us along on this journey.

    Currently training for a half marathon (my umpteenth of those) this Spring and then my second full marathon this September. Starting my student teaching right around that last month of training, too, so that'll be a load of fun and no sleep

This is my New Years resolution is to have a more balanced fitness routine and balanced life between teaching and fitness. It does make me feel better to see someone else putting the time in late at night/early in the morning and someone excited as I am to run whenever during a non school day 😂

    I have the same Garmin watch for running, I love it! Did you know you can download more apps for it, like one to help keep track of your water intake! I find I'm more motivated to drink it when I can see my progress on my wrist. Good luck with your training!!

    I was so excited for this video!! I have always been horrible at running, so this year I made a resolution to run 200 miles before the new year. So far I’ve ran 6 miles and I’m really starting to enjoy doing it. I used to lift as well, I was on a powerlifting program. Once I ended my membership at LA fitness I just stopped working out over all 🤷🏽‍♀️ I love being back at the gym and counting macros and stuff. I love that you mentioned how you can make it work in terms of hanging out and eating with friends.
    Watching your video was awesome because we eat a lot of similar foods daily 😂 I made chili when we had a snow day as well! I looooooove beans!!
    I drink so much water and it’s really hard at school because I end up holding it until I have a break. So I feel you girl! Haha
    Anyway, I wish you the best on your journey. I liked this video a lot, and can’t wait for the next one.

    I love your message that fitness can not consume you’re entire life. I’m glad you have a good balance in your life.
    I’m the complete opposite with bananas.. I’d rather have a brown banana than green. No way! I just got an Apple Watch for Christmas. It has the features you mentioned and more, I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a smart watch. I’ve never seen the gingerbread cliff bars- I’m going to keep my eyes out for them. Keep up the videos. Kudos for managing both vlogs!! 🙌🏼

    You should try plant nanny! You put in your body weight and your amount of activity and it tells you how much water you should drink per day. Then, you "plant a seed" and water it by putting in the amount of water you've had to drink that day.. The plant grows until you can harvest it! It's really cool and it helps you drink more water.

    Love this video! Really got me motivated to get back into working out! Funny though, I prefer running on the treadmill at the gym over running outside ;) Also, I write times on my water bottle so I know have to drink a certain amount of water by that time; maybe you could use this to help you drink more water!

    Love that you’re documenting your journey to the Boston Marathon. You should film your actual workouts (running/lifting)!

      Unfortunately I am not allowed to film at my gym which is where I have been doing most of my runs (although in my next vlog you will see I had Billy sneak some footage of me because it wasn't too busy). My next vlog will have more running footage since I got outside more!
