My first time hearing this and what a great song it is. I have ignored Tarja for too long. I have her second album' Winter storm' but i never followed up on any of her other releases.
What a presence she is. i had almost forgotten, So thanks Kelly for the reminder.
I agree. In these last few months, I have come to appreciate her in a very new light. I have become kind of a fan girl of hers, and listen to her more than most of the other singers.

This DVD is my favourite of my 12 Tarja concerts I own :) Special favourites from this one are Crimson Deep, Oasis, and Into the Sun
Fantastic, she is definitely a better singer since she left Nightwish!
As you said, exquisite and breathtaking. She is such a class act and so passionate on the stage, which is why I'll never get enough of her concerts (already 6 and 2 more to come, hopefully this year).

Now I checked this new upload and I knew the name. "Tarja". So glad to see such I nice song performed by her! I 've seen the reaction first, now I am going to listen to the original. Sounds about right!

I haven't heard a lot of Tarja's solo songs. This is one that I hadn't heard (studio OR live). It was a very nice performance...her vocals have actually improved a lot since the Nightwish days. I always liked her studio work with Nightwish, but I found her liver performances to be hit & miss with me...some were better than others. Her vocals were very smooth in their transitions between operatic and pop(ish) vocal style and her pronunciations were also much better (amazing what 20+ years of experience will do for that eh? haha!) One thing I did notice though is her lack of interaction with the band...it's like they were just there to back her up, the vocals being the focal point and the music just background. Anyways, I will try to track down this DVD and watch the whole thing to see how the whole concert was. Cheers!
I understand your point Mike. I think she is trying to interact more with the audience, but yes throughout the concert you can see more moments with the band. I particularly like the part where she goes in front of Max Lilja (cellist) and the two of them headbang at the same time during My Little Phoenix! 🤘🏻
you should see her in open settings..she is so socially galvanizing ...she exudes charm with every note and delicious smile...
I saw Tarja live seven times. Actually, my first rock concert was one of her in my city a few days before she recorded this DVD. Once she's in front of the stage, everything become magical, that's all I can say. You see her smiling and you know she's happy with what she's doing now. And that's all that matters to me 😍
You don't interact with the band on every single song… You can't make conclusions based on one video.
