The cigarette brand with regard to the Autavia was Viceroy, hence these are known as the Heuer Viceroy. Heuer is usually much more desirable to vintage collectors than Tag Heuer. Very nice watches!
I have a Viceroy Autavia I purchased that I had to send to Switzerland for service and repair. The cost of repair 10-12 years ago was 11 times what I paid for it. But it is in perfect condition and stored away for the future.
Great Watches!! Another closey related watch to the Heuer Viceroy Autavia is the Hamilton Pan europ 707. Hamilton being part of the "Project 99" collaboration also used the calibre 11 movement.
If you get lucky you can find a 2000 series Heuer(not Tag-Heuer) from that period 1983-1985. I really like the look of the 972 divers from that period, if they're just Heuer.
I much prefer the look of the vintage Heuer chronographs than the endless list of supposedly ‘innovative’ watch models that TAG have sponsored since they took over Heuer nearly 40 years ago. Very few TAG watches catch my attention, even their expensive limited edition retro models lack the functional integrity, aesthetics and quality of the original Heuer Masterpieces that they’re based on, it’s almost criminal.
Why are the dates for the Heuers not more precise? Do they not carry serial numbers like the vintage omegas and Longines? (Genuine question) That Omega he was wearing was just the epitome of a vintage dress watch.
The Porsche Design Chronograph 1 watch is much more prestigious and famous than its mid 80s association with the cheesy Top Gun movie. It was the worlds first all black watch design, and from 1972.

The PD in your video is the Lemania 5100 version, whereas the one in Top Gun was the Valjoux 7750 version.

1976.

Heuer YES...Tag Neuer NO. I think for the time being we have hit a peak with Heuer vintage so put out your bids as value is here right now.

@@tricky92x Im saying that Heuer Vintage prices have dropped, and present pretty good value. Tag is not worth buying IMO.
