    Pimms in England- we have 25ml shot in glass, lemonade, cucumber pieces, fresh mint, slices of lemon and lime x
    Ginger pimms- ginger ale and 25ml pimms x
    Winter pimms, 1/2 pint of pimms, apple juice- put into a sauce pan, add juice of an orange, add slices of apple and orange and 1 cinnamon stick, bring to a simmer and heat gently for 10-15mins x perfect on an autumn afternoon or cold winters day x

    Pimms cup is the best damn cocktail out there imo. I like it with italian lemon soda, strawberry halves and I actually muddle the cucmber in the pimms and strain it. Also garnish with thyme rosemary along with the mint...
    Or if I need groceries just pimms and lemonaide is good too

    I've never seen mint slapped before. Very interesting. The bar looks like my kind of place too.

    @etagloh: What "sad lemonade situation"? As Chris pointed out, English "lemonade" is simply lemon soda, which is known only by its brand names in the US, i.e. 7-up or Sprite. He could easily have mixed a Pimm's Cup with Sprite if he so chose. But as he also points out, lemonade made with fresh lemon juice, sugar and water tastes far better. It's the UK that has a "sad lemonade situation", since, unlike in the US, they have no tradition of fresh lemonade.

    I do it this way, but I make celery flavored simple syrup by adding some celery "seeds" (they're not really seeds) to the water and sugar while it's boiling. That way you don't need a garnish to get in the way.

    For my money, the best drink with (bruised) cucumber is a Screaming Viking.

    Normally I'd agree with you, but it says *right on the bottle* to use ginger ale or lemon-lime soda.

      AllHailZeppelin You mean in a martini shaker...?

    • @mosipd
      @mosipd 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      AllHailZeppelin He used a technique called rolling, where you pour the drink back and forth between two glasses. Different drinks call for different methods of mixing, and this drink wouldn't taste right if it were shaken. The Bloody Mary is a popular drink which is supposed to be rolled instead of stirred or, god forbid, shaken.

    NOBODY I know does. Yet again another English stereotype you Americans have which is completely untrue. If you said we drink tea, eat scones and fish and chips thats fair enough.

    It all get you drunk if you drink too much.And that's not dignified I don't care if you drink out of a gold chalice.So use common sense.Nobody likes a drunk.Not even a drunk.Isn't that strange?
