It's been a few years since I hiked in Lake Wales Ridge State Forest.
I hiked the entire trail that runs along Lake Arbuckle.
There are a lot of hunters that hunt wild hogs in that forest.
I saw a Bald Eagle, and a large wild bee hive along that trail.
Lake Kissimmee State Park is also a nice place to hike, as is Avon Park Bombing Range.
I always look forward to free orange juice at the Florida Naturals plant in the Frostproof Lake Wales area on US 27.

This is my stomping ground. I was born in Lake Wales, and grew up in Frostproof. I took my '73 Yamaha 360 Enduro along deer trails in many places in the Frostproof/Lake Wales area. I spent many days as a Boy Scout at Flaming Arrow Scout camp. I also spent many weekends camping at the County Park at Lake Arbuckle - more than I spent at home. (The white sand you see in the video is called 'sugar sand')

There's a old mound where I lived in New Jersey on the great bay where they gathered oysters

So Lake Arbuckle could be the remnants of the ocean when Florida was submerged except the lake Wales ridge.

What’s your opinion on Catfish Creek State Park? It’s my favorite state park so far 😃😃 I love how nature set it up to be ❤️ it’s challenging because of all sand but I always love getting up to the Allen Brosuard statue

What do these mounds mean? Were they a sort of landfill, ancient compost heap?

you mean that the sea level was higher than today in the past-oh my how can that bee-we are all supposed to die in 12 years from climate change which will cause the sea level to rise cause aoc says so if we all dont buy a electric car that runs off lpg or coal-hmmmm- i guess i am skeptical since i was born on east hwy 60 outside of lake wales and used to find sharks teeth walking the rr tracks to the bus stop-
