Getting married October 21st and I've been planning since Sept 2021... having two years to plan had made this engagement so stress free! I've planned the whole wedding myself and I'm proud of what I've done!
What has helped me is, as someone who wants to do everything all at once and figured out asap, taking it one step at a time and limiting when I work on planning. Otherwise…I’d go nonstop.
This video is keeping me company as I frantically hand stitch my wedding dress. My sewing machine is acting up, but honestly hand sewing isn't that bad... Fingers crossed I can get it all done in time for our impending elopement at the end of the month!
May the sewing machine gods be with you. If you haven’t clean your sewing machine in awhile that could be work a shot. Evelyn Wood has a good video on cleaning your sewing machine, in addition to other tips
@@jenniferarmstrong8879Thank you!!! yep, that was going to be my next step. :) I just really wasn't in the mood today, but it's probably getting cleaned this week. There's so much hemming to do! 😅 Thanks for the channel recommendation!
You’re so cool! I wish I learned how to sew. What an amazing, unique beautiful thing to do. You will definitely finish in time. I wish I could see the finished product!
@@blameitonablackstar I'm really lucky that my mom started teaching me early! It's a skill that has definitely come in handy so many times, and I knew I would regret it if I didn't make my dress :) but it's never too late to learn!
Gave myself just over a year to plan my wedding in Sep 24. I knew there would be a lot of stuff to manage but omg things just keep coming up. I am so glad I started straight away and am finding it more fun then stressful now. I have been doing it pretty much by myself for now but feel like I can manage. I am excited for the day
Jamie, Rose pink is definitely your color! I'll be getting married in May 2026 so a lot of time to plan; when would be a good time to start the Master Plan? Thank you for all that you do!
I'm so happy that I am a TypeA planner so MOST of the advice by Jamie I've already done... There is a lot of good info anyways but, thank God I got ahead of all this hahaha
I'm at the very beginning stage of planning so I don't have specifics yet, but based on my personality I am worried I'll have sort of the opposite problem from the "Pinterest overload." I tend to want to take the easy route most of the time and I don't care about many things, including decorations, but I'm worried that my "screw it, who cares" attitude could go too far? I am absolutely happy to have a very simple event, but are there any elements that I may regret not including?
I'm planning my wedding now and I'm the same way! I know for me, I'm having a fall themed wedding. So having a color palette to base bridesmaid dresses and decorations off of is helpful. I also like watching other people's wedding videos to see things they included and get ideas from there. But I'm keeping decor to a minimum. I think at the end of the day, you are going to care more about how good of a time you had versus how "aesthetic" everything looked.
I'm the same way! I don't care about decor or florals. I'll have a bouquet and maybe a few decorative flowers, but I don't care about center pieces, couldn't care less about dinnerware, we'll likely have a sign or two for important things, but none strictly for decor. I live in a really beautiful part of the country and I want an outdoor venue, so I'm relying on the natural beauty to shrink down my decor budget and allow us to spend more on photo and video, which are really important to me.
Love your videos! Does the master plan support destination wedding planning? Assume it's generally the same checklist but wanted to know. Also nowhere near getting married lol 😅
From what she said in the video, it sounds like it's a bad idea because people often RSVP late the wedding, so you would be sending out guest list B invites too close to the wedding for both them and you to figure out if they can make it in the first place.

We’re getting married on the same day.❤
Same! I got engaged December 2021 and am not getting married until April 2024. Long engagements are the best!
This is the reason why my fiance and I have planned our date for August 2025! I'm just starting the process of planning

Create a wedding email was the best piece of info I got when I started planning my wedding. Now if I can remember to check it more often lol
You are GLOWING 😁
Great advice! I also thought your whole outfit was so adorable 🥰 love it

Is there a specific video or clip with more detail about A-list vs. B-list invites? Would love to hear more about the cons of this approach!
Hey Jamie, thanks for this video!
You recommend generation tux for tuxedos/suits. Where would you recommend for ordering bridesmaids dresses?

Can you explain why an A list and B list is bad for guest lists?

When would be a good time to stop looking at Pinterest? 😄
Lol I don't know for sure, but I'm 2 months and a bit away and I think it was 2 months ago!
