Great tutoriual! Two thoughts: 1) Always best to convert your layers to smart objects. And 2) for adding noise, a more versatile way to do that is to go to Layer > New Layer, change the blend mode to "overlay" in the modal and check "Fill with Overlay-neutral color". From there, convert that new layer to a smart object, make sure it's the top layer, and apply that same amount of gausian monochromatic noise from the filter menu. This gives you a universal control for the whole image on one layer and, since it's a smart object, means you can punch it up or dial it down until you get the results you're after.
True, but if all your layers are smart objects, there's no harm in adding the noise to each individual layer. I think his reason for adding the tiny amount of noise to the individual layers is that it requires less noticeable noise to reduce the banding when done in this way. From my personal experience it seems to require more when the noise is added as a layer on top of everything, though I'm generally working in 8bit, so it might be different in 16bit.
youre so dope bro thank you! i actually ended up changing the colors and played with the different brushes to make it a little bit more unique for my english assignment. Thanks alot bro! subscribed and liked.
Nice simple technique! It's much more interesting than a simple gradient. I'm going to try to incorporate this into some of the techniques I use in making my relaxing colors + music videos. Thanks! 💙
I’d love to use this as a mask cover for text. Still learning. Nice video. By the way it may seem simple to more advanced users but for anyone who doesn’t understand how to use photoshop then this is a great video and will appeal to a lot of people. Good job 👍
i love it ... my aproach to acomplish that was totaly different never thought about doing it this way actualy kinda funny thinking back at it. i feel like the builder of pyramids gets finaly introduced to the shape of a triangle and thinks to himself ... nice i kinda like that
"You wanna make sure you have a fast computer, a powerful computer, because this is gonna hog up some memory here" Ah yes let me just buy an entire new computer before I start with the tutorial
Is this a suggestion for another tutorial, or are you asking if it's possible? Anyways, it is definitely. I've worked with this technique more than once :)
How can I simply paint an entire screen a single color? I'm new to Photoshop. I've watched a couple hours worth of tutorials and still haven't seen anyone explain what I'm trying to do. The paintbrushes I have are too small and it'd take me an hour to scribble all over the white page until it all was filled in with yellow, for instance. Any larger brushes I've found immediately delete as soon as I unclick the mouse. Thanks
Its more to do with what the image means. This image doesn't mean much of anything, but usually you can find meaning in art that visually looks like that in museams. Its hard to explain, but I do get why many people see it like laziness or uncreativity.
Can you spot the mistake I made while recording this video? Hint: It’s something I say.
Hmm.. i dont know. ☺
The mistake is that I am not first.
ya you say 500 and use 300
yeah at 02:53 you say you want to blur each of these layers 500 pixels instead you use 300
1:21 you said you're going to make a new background for each colour you choose.
I missed your stuff man!! And btw, the "warming up" status bar thingy is such a great idea!!
