I have got to appreciate that they don't mind people hanging around there. It's not always easy to just shop when you're traveling, and there's nothing worse than a shop always trying to push sales. For hobbyist we all know how fun it is to frequent shops just to see if they have new exotic ones in to buy.
I definitely recommend Cali's tropical fish, Nolan's Aquarium, and the Fin Shop... they're small local fish stores that certainly need more attention in Orange County area c:

The Cichlid bros once stole my DeLorean, traveled back in time, and made the very first flowerhorn. Then they courtesly returned the DeLorean with a full tank of gas.
He has “connections in Australia...” REALLY? *Thats strange because no native wildlife has left Australia for several decades. That means no reptiles, amphibians, birds, freshwater fish and ESPECIALLY nothing from The Great Barrier Reef in Queensland. Also, people in Australia cannot import ANYTHING from outside the country. All their pets must be native Aussie species.*
The real owner passed this LAX aquarium to his son. LAX aquarium does not sell any freshwater fish. I went about 3 months ago and their remaining freshwater were all neglected. LAX aquarium only interested in $$$

You should go to seven seas Fish store in San Pedro. I’m not a fan of the owner, but I have to admit he has quality freshwater fish.
